Gao Hu, a notorious criminal, once teamed up with a few brothers to rob one of the best-secured banks in Jiangbei City using homemade firearms. They killed dozens of people and managed to escape. If it weren't for their eventual betrayal over profit-sharing disputes, they might never have been caught by the police.
When the robbery gang was apprehended, Gao Hu cleverly shifted from being a principal offender to an accomplice, significantly reducing his charges. If nothing unexpected happened, he would only need to serve thirty-four years in Jiangbei Prison before being released.
However, fate had other plans. When the apocalypse struck and zombies began to roam, Jiangbei Prison was not spared. In this chaotic environment, Gao Hu seized the opportunity to rise as a hero. Using a pair of handcuffs, he managed to decapitate two or three zombies.
Fortunately, before his imprisonment, Gao Hu had some experience as a martial artist, which contributed to his physical prowess and ruthless methods. He escaped from Jiangbei Prison amidst the zombie chaos and gathered a group of fellow inmates, becoming their leader.
Upon exiting the prison, Gao Hu and his group encountered Liu Long and Brother Three. Seeing the overwhelming number of zombies outside, the three groups decided to band together, forming a formidable force that ultimately allowed them to break free and establish a camp from scratch.
To consolidate their power within this new alliance, they formed a large group where the three leaders were ranked by age, thus earning titles like Big Brother, Second Brother, and Brother Three.
In this apocalyptic world, those who survived were not ordinary individuals. The three leaders of the camp were exceptional; if not for their formidable backgrounds and the gang of ruthless thugs under them, maintaining control would have been impossible.
Brother Three had a military background before ending up in prison. Gao Hu was no less impressive than Brother Three; in fact, in terms of physical strength and endurance, Gao Hu surpassed him.
Gao Hu was infamous for his merciless nature; he had taken many lives even during peaceful times and continued to kill countless others after the apocalypse began.

Gao Hu stood before Li Nan with a smile that appeared harmless to anyone watching. Yet in an instant, he drew a dagger from behind and lunged at Li Nan's heart with deadly precision.
In that moment, only the glint of the blade could be seen; Gao Hu's hand moved so quickly that it was almost invisible.
Li Nan sensed something was off when he noticed Gao Hu's unusual demeanor. Although he intended to be cautious of Gao Hu, he never anticipated that Gao Hu would strike so swiftly that he wouldn't have time to evade!
Li Nan glared at Gao Hu with anger and resentment while Gao Hu opened his mouth as if about to laugh triumphantly. "No matter how powerful you are, you'll die at my hands!"
At that moment, Liu Long, who had previously appeared despondent, suddenly regained his composure. A master of acting through and through, despite Gao Hu's somewhat forced performance earlier, Liu Long believed that even with such poor acting skills, Gao Hu could still deceive Li Nan and deliver a fatal blow.
Just then, Fatty at the lower position heard the sound of the knife slicing through the air and jumped up. However, as he prepared to act, over twenty men around him revealed weapons hidden at their waists—machetes, daggers, handguns, and submachine guns—quickly overwhelming Fatty and his companions.
Fatty reached back with both hands, suddenly pausing to ask, "What do you want to do?"
Scarface faced Fatty with a smile, "Whatever you want to do, I will do too!"
Lin Hai stood behind Fatty, unable to react as he felt the gun barrel pressed against his head. Meanwhile, Bitter Melon and Long-Faced Man were also in a bad situation, being restrained by others.
Fatty laughed heartily, "Do you really think that just a few of you with a few guns can trap me?"
Scarface was unfazed, "I don't care what you think; today, you four are not the main characters!"
At the table above, Gao Hu pressed down on Li Nan, holding a dagger in one hand and thrusting it down directly towards Li Nan's heart. However, unfortunately, the blade met resistance.
Gao Hu, not willing to give up, continued to apply force with his wrist. Under normal circumstances, Gao Hu had enough strength to topple a small cow with this move, but today was peculiar; despite using the blade's edge, he couldn't make any progress.

Unfortunately for him, just as he was about to fly out from the impact, Li Nan grabbed hold of half of Gao Hu's arm and yanked him back forcefully, positioning him in front of himself while placing the dagger against his neck.
In that instant, Gao Hu was completely bewildered. How could an ordinary person possess such strength? Was Li Nan truly a celestial being passed down from heaven?
Gao Hu had blood trickling from his mouth, and with his remaining eye, he vaguely saw that Li Nan was wearing something resembling a jade pendant on his left chest. It was that object that had blocked Gao Hu's blade.
With the last bit of his consciousness, Gao Hu uttered, "Kill... him!"
After a series of actions, Liu Long could only express that his jaw had dropped to the ground. How could an ordinary person possess such strength? Was it possible that his eyes were truly failing him?

Before Gao Hu could utter a sound, red began to seep from his chest. His remaining eye glared fiercely at Liu Long; he never expected that a man who had lived so boldly would die in such a pathetic and disgraceful manner.
Seeing Gao Hu dead, Liu Long immediately shouted to his brothers below, "Life and death are fated. If we kill Li Nan today, we all share glory; if Li Nan gets the upper hand, none of us will have a good ending!"
For Liu Long's loyal followers, the death of Second Brother Gao Hu did not have much impact. However, for Gao Hu's confidant Baldy, the situation had taken a serious turn!
Today’s situation was a gamble where failure meant death, so Li Nan had already made thorough preparations. As for why he had been playing with Liu Long for so long, it was all part of his strategy.
