Just as Baldy was feeling pleased, Fatty poured a bucket of cold water on him. 0

The two White Mice buried under the Quicksand had no hope of survival. Although mice can dig, they were helpless against this kind of Quicksand. As long as they were trapped below for more than a minute, they would suffocate and die. Thus, the two White Mice no longer posed a threat, and what Fatty referred to was something else. 0

At the moment when both White Mice fell into the ground, a sudden sound of something hitting the ground came from a high wall outside the camp. 0

When everyone turned to look, they found nothing unusual except for four large footprints clearly left beneath the high wall. 0

Just as everyone hesitated, the same sound came from another direction! 0

Fatty grabbed Baldy's shoulder and said, "It must be that Long-Haired Rabbit. It's incredibly fast; this time, we've encountered a tough opponent!" 0

Baldy turned around. He did hear the sound, but he couldn't see anything with his eyes, which made him quite anxious. 0

During the struggle with the White Mice, Baldy had lost four or five brothers. Now, along with Fatty's Machine Gunners, they had just over thirty people left. 0

Fatty looked around and said, "Quickly form a circle; otherwise, if we get ambushed, it will be enough trouble for us!" 0

With Fatty's command, more than thirty men backed up against each other to form a circle. Then they raised their guns in all directions, not giving the Long-Haired Rabbit any chance! 0

Now everyone's line of sight had no blind spots, and the surrounding sounds disappeared. It seemed that this Long-Haired Rabbit was just trying to create confusion. 0

Fatty kept a close watch on the surroundings and then Baldy said, "This won't do; we need to lure it out!" 0

Baldy shook his head and continued, "How can we make it show itself?" 0

Fatty replied angrily, "If you ask me this, who should I ask?" 0

The bald man, scolded by Fatty, didn't mind it at all. In the current situation, this was not the time to be joking around; they had to be extremely cautious, or else the camp would truly be doomed! 0

Although the shadow of the rabbit was not visible, the footprints on the ground were clearly observable. Fatty, with his keen eyes, compared the footprints from several locations where sounds had occurred earlier and realized that the Long-Haired Rabbit was deliberately circling around. This meant that the Long-Haired Rabbit had no intention of confronting them! 0

Fatty shouted, "We've been tricked! It seems these mutated monsters are becoming cleverer, each one more troublesome than the last!" 0

As he spoke, a sudden uproar erupted from a thousand meters away. Fatty turned to look and immediately cursed, "Damn it, things have changed!" 0

It turned out that the screams were coming from Li Nan's Small Buildings. 0

********************************************************* 0

A few miles outside the camp, Li Nan held the Black Gold Minghong Blade in his hand and carried the Mechanical Composite Longbow on his back. He moved swiftly forward while a Gorilla chased closely behind him. 0

After a few steps, Li Nan spotted a pit ahead and his mind raced. "This Gorilla is no fool; it won't fall for my tricks easily. If I don't make my act convincing enough, this Gorilla will definitely not be fooled!" 0

Feeling the pressure of the pursuing Gorilla behind him, Li Nan knew he was at a speed disadvantage, so their distance gradually closed. After some contemplation, he had no choice but to take a risk. 0

Just before reaching the pit, Li Nan suddenly slowed down and drew his Mechanical Composite Longbow with one hand, launching several Feathered Arrows simultaneously. 0

Having suffered several times before, the Gorilla was aware of how to dodge. Although it was large in size, it was surprisingly agile and managed to evade by swerving its body. 0

Li Nan did not intend to use this move to defeat his enemy; it was merely a feint! 0

With a mocking expression on his face, Li Nan shouted, "Last time you got lucky and didn't die. But this time your luck has run out! Dare to provoke me? I will ensure you come back empty-handed!" 0

Li Nan did not care whether the other party understood or not; he immediately leaped into the pit behind him. 0

To the Gorilla, Li Nan's expression and tone were nothing more than a provocation. However, at that moment, the Gorilla could not accept such a challenge. Its pride as a king had been greatly challenged by Li Nan. If it failed to kill Li Nan today, what would become of its severed fingers and left eye? 0

The Gorilla roared and chased after him, but just at the edge of the large pit, it hesitated for a moment. It had its own cognitive system and knew that what lay beneath was a deep pit. But did it have the courage to jump down with Li Nan? It was in doubt. 0

The pit was nearly ten meters deep and about half the size of a football field. Li Nan and Ling Kong fell straight down. The ground at the bottom was uneven, and Li Nan managed to turn his body to avoid landing on a large exposed rock. 0

To avoid that rock, Li Nan crouched and rolled, landing in a dark area. 0

As he landed, Li Nan felt that what he stepped on was not soil; it was loose and soft, more like cotton or decaying flesh! 0

Li Nan did not have time to think too much. This pit was a trap designed for Zombies, so it was reasonable to expect there would be several Zombies inside. 0

Not caring about what lay beneath his feet, Li Nan drew out the Black Gold Minghong Blade and stabbed a few times. Even if the King of Hell were down there, he would still be doomed. 0

Li Nan shook his body slightly and stood upright. Just as he was about to look up, he was somewhat surprised. 0

Before him lay layers upon layers of Zombie corpses, creating an overwhelming sight that resembled a Zombie graveyard. 0

Li Nan pulled out the Black Gold Blade and held it in front of him. The sheer number of Zombies made him feel uneasy, almost nauseous. 0

Inside the pit were numerous Zombie corpses; some were still alive while others had rotted into mush. As Li Nan looked around, he estimated that there were at least eight hundred if not a thousand Zombies at the bottom of this pit. 0

The stench in the pit was unbearable. The bodies of these eight hundred to a thousand Zombies had already begun to decay and ferment, emitting an odor that could rival that of biological weapons. The puddles at Li Nan's feet were unclear whether they were water or the fats from the Zombies' bodies! 0

The smell nearly made Li Nan stumble, but compared to the stench in the pit, he was more concerned about the Gorilla! 0

The Gorilla hesitated at the edge of the Pit, weighing the pros and cons. Although primates are relatively intelligent, they haven't reached human levels; otherwise, they would have revolted long ago. 0

Li Nan, who was in the Pit, suddenly looked up at the Gorilla with a mocking expression. The Gorilla rolled its eyes, displaying anger on its face. It pounded its chest and no longer hesitated, leaping down into the Pit. 0

As the Gorilla landed, it instantly splashed a large amount of filthy water from the pit, most of which splattered onto Li Nan. 0

Li Nan wiped his face with one hand and sniffed under his nose, sighing, "Sure enough, it's corpse oil. That's disgusting!" 0

Before Li Nan could lament further, the already grounded Gorilla swung its long arms at him. 0

This semi-enclosed space was both a blessing and a curse for Li Nan and the Gorilla. 0

The Pit was nearly ten meters deep; it was easy to come down but hard to go back up. However, they now had a direct confrontation—either one would die. 0

Facing the two long arms coming from the Gorilla, Li Nan did not evade but instead gripped his knife and stood his ground. 0

Due to their size difference, the Gorilla's attacks were ferocious, following a typical beast pattern: pounce first, then tear and bite. Unfortunately for it, Li Nan was quite agile and did not just stand there to be attacked; he also had opportunities to counterattack. His smaller size gave him an advantage in this dimly lit Pit, allowing him to easily hide and maneuver flexibly while the Gorilla often clumsily confused itself. 0

After more than half an hour of back-and-forth combat, Li Nan was significantly exhausted. However, the Gorilla was not faring much better; its body was covered in wounds inflicted by the Black Gold Minghong Blade. Though these injuries were not fatal, due to the Gorilla's immense strength, Li Nan dared not resist recklessly. 0

Panting heavily, Li Nan leaned on his Black Gold Minghong Blade to avoid collapsing. The Gorilla also appeared fatigued; although its legs stood firm on the ground, its single eye showed signs of weariness. 0

Lying in the Pit were thousands of Zombie corpses that had been stirred up, flesh splattering and bones flying—a scene that truly resembled a slaughterhouse. 0

Confronting the Gorilla, Li Nan smiled and then drew his bow with one hand, preparing to shoot. At that moment, he truly felt like a hero at the end of his road; damn it, this Gorilla was just too difficult to deal with! 0

Just as Li Nan was pulling back the bowstring with all his might, a sudden whistling sound came from above, as if something large had fallen. 0

Hearing the noise, Li Nan instinctively withdrew and dodged, while the Gorilla, noticing Li Nan's unusual behavior, had no time to think before a massive object came crashing down. 0

From his position to the side, Li Nan saw a Tank Truck flying down, landing squarely on the Gorilla's half-exposed body. 0

At that moment, the Gorilla let out a wail, its body convulsing, while beneath the Tank Truck, gasoline began to leak out in noticeable amounts. 0

Li Nan instinctively looked up towards the edge of the Pit and saw a bloodied head hanging down, still clutching a piece of Nylon Rope. 0

The person shouted, "Brother Nan, hurry up!" 0

In the dim light, Li Nan recognized that bloodied head belonged to Mighty Bull. He was overjoyed at once, and the Nylon Rope thrown by Mighty Bull fell right in front of Li Nan. 0

Li Nan secured his Compound Bow on his back and tied a loop in the Nylon Rope with his right hand. He stepped on several loops with his other leg and began to climb up using the leverage. 0

Standing at the edge of the Pit, Mighty Bull shouted loudly and leaned back. His two arms, as strong as those of an ox, bulged with muscles as he pulled Li Nan up from nearly ten meters down in the Pit. Meanwhile, the Gorilla trapped under the Tank Truck roared furiously, a mix of anger and pain. 0
