Upon learning that Josen had just been picked up from the police station by Shen Liwei and taken to the military camp, Xin Yi thought to himself that Shen Liwei truly had a deep sibling bond. After parking the car, Xin Yi first went to a nearby flower shop to buy a bouquet and then got a fruit basket before heading upstairs to the inpatient department with Big Bull. In Shen Shanshan's hospital room, besides Mother Shen, there was also a middle-aged woman who looked like a servant. When Shen Shanshan saw Xin Yi enter the room, her eyes lit up as she waved her hand and said, "Xin Yi, you're here!"
"Yes, do you feel better today?" Xin Yi asked as he approached her bedside.
"Yes, much better... Thank you for the flowers," Shen Shanshan replied with a blissful smile before turning to the middle-aged woman and saying, "Aunt Wu, please arrange these flowers."
Aunt Wu took the flowers from Xin Yi's hands and looked around before saying, "Oh dear, Miss, there are no vases left; only one vase is already full."
"Just throw out what's in the vase," Shen Shanshan said dismissively. Then she noticed the fruit basket on the cabinet and exclaimed in surprise, "How did you know I love longan?"
"Hehe, I just bought it randomly," Xin Yi replied.
"I don't believe you; longan is usually not included in fruit baskets... Never mind, hurry up and peel one for me!" Shen Shanshan seemed genuinely eager for longan.
To be honest, Xin Yi really did buy it randomly, yet somehow he ended up getting her favorite fruit. What kind of luck was this? Could there really be such a thing as fate? Anyway, Xin Yi didn't want to explain; it was just fruit after all—let her think whatever she wanted.
Just as Xin Yi was feeling somewhat frustrated about this situation, Mother Shen spoke up: "Shanshan, how can you be so rude? He's our guest; how can you make Mr. Xin peel fruit for you? Let me do it." As she spoke, she walked over while Xin Yi tactfully stepped aside.
Mother Shen peeled a longan and fed it to Shen Shanshan before suddenly realizing something. She turned to Xin Yi and said, "Mr. Xin must be very busy, right? Thank you for coming to see our Shanshan and for bringing the fruits and flowers."
It was clear she was hinting for him to leave. Xin Yi smiled and was about to say something when Shen Shanshan interrupted loudly: "Mom! Why are you acting like this?! Mr. Xin came to see me; why do you have such an attitude?!"
"What attitude do I have? Mr. Xin is indeed very busy; he has so many crops to tend to. Besides, you need to rest well too. How can you rest with someone hanging around all day?" Mother Shen replied sharply without caring about Xin Yi's feelings at all.
"You! ... That's too much!" Shen Shanshan's tears fell immediately as she turned her head away.
"Brother Xin, this aunt is bad; she made my sister cry!" Big Bull said in a deep voice from the side.
"Who are you?! Get out!" Mother Shen shouted angrily at Big Bull. Big Bull was still wearing the rough cloth clothes he had brought from his hometown, looking like a farmer from the countryside, which made Mother Shen even angrier that a country bumpkin would dare to speak to the wife of the Liaodong Military Region Commander like that.

"Xin Yi, where are you now?" Shu Rui asked on the other end of the line.
"Oh, I'm at Longchuan City People's Hospital."
"What?! Are you sick? What’s wrong? Is it serious? Have you seen a doctor? What did the doctor say? Have you taken any medicine? ... Which ward are you in? Wait for me; I'll come right over!" Shu Rui fired off a long string of questions anxiously.
"No, President Shu, listen to me; it's not me who's sick. It's one of my friends who got injured. I'm here to see her."
"Ugh..." Shu Rui sighed heavily on the other end. "You scared me! Why don't you just say things clearly?"

As Xin Yi returned to the hospital room, he saw Mother Shen angrily sitting in a chair nearby, while Shen Shanshan was still lying on the bed in tears. Xin Yi shook his head with a wry smile and walked to the bedside, gently speaking to Shen Shanshan, "Shanshan, you need to rest well. I'm going to Zhongjiang City for a few days and will come back to see you afterward."

"Big Bull, let's go!" After Xin Yi finished speaking, he left with Big Bull, who huffed before leaving as if to say who was afraid of whom.

It had turned into a gathering place for migrant workers and criminals. Apart from Junxing Group, there are about seven or eight other real estate companies participating in this bidding, but only Zhongjiang's Jinhua Group and J City's Zhongxing Group can compete with Junxing Group. Xin Yi glanced at the personnel list for the trip to Zhongjiang City, which included eight people. Only two department managers were male; the rest were female staff. Xin Yi asked Shu Rui, "Shouldn't we consider safety issues, like having two security guards accompany us?"

The meeting was mainly about discussing the details of this bidding activity again. Xin Yi couldn't help but admire Shu Rui's attitude towards work and her meticulousness. It seemed that nothing was perfect in her eyes; every detail had to be carefully considered before being finalized. Once all the details were confirmed, Shu Rui let out a long sigh of relief and announced the meeting adjourned.
