The night was like a curtain, and the moon hung like a hook. A nimble black shadow leaped over the fence that served as a wall, disappearing into the enormous shadows of the building after a few jumps. Just as the shadow vanished into the darkness, a plump security guard with a big belly turned around at the corner. The guard abruptly pressed the switch on his Powerful Flashlight, directing a beam of strong light into the darkness. Strangely, there was nothing there. The guard shook his head in disbelief and rubbed his chubby eyes, muttering, "Could it be that I saw things?" He waved the Powerful Flashlight around twice more, and after confirming that there was nothing, he slowly ambled away. 0

Xin Yi slid down from a pillar and quietly thought to himself how close he had come to danger. It seemed that acting without fully understanding the situation could indeed pose great risks. For instance, he hadn't anticipated that there would still be security patrolling at this hour. If he had been discovered, he would have had no choice but to eliminate that guard. However, doing so would significantly increase the chances of someone noticing an intruder. Until everything was clear, it was best not to let anyone know someone had infiltrated. 0

Xin Yi carefully observed his surroundings from within the darkness. After confirming that there were no dangers nearby, he began to climb up the building's drainage pipe. This kind of climbing was child's play for Xin Yi; even without the drainage pipe, he could easily scale the building's walls and corners. He quickly reached a window on the second floor. Inside should be a room; it was pitch black and nothing could be seen. Xin Yi took out a pair of infrared goggles from his backpack and put them on, revealing that it was an office. He gently pushed open the window and slipped inside. 0

Xin Yi chose a spot near the building's elevator because in such buildings, every corner is usually equipped with surveillance cameras and other monitoring devices. A moment's inattention could lead to being spotted by cameras that never blinked. The garage and its entrance were no exception, so Xin Yi decided to access the underground parking lot through the elevator shaft from above; this way, he could maximize his chances of avoiding detection by cameras. 0

Once inside the room, Xin Yi turned back to close and secure the window. He then observed the situation outside through the glass; everything seemed normal. He moved to the door of the room and gently opened it just a crack to listen for sounds outside. Then he took out a tubular device from his backpack and quietly extended one end out of the door. This device was based on the principle of a periscope used in submarines, allowing him to clearly observe what was happening outside. The corridor was empty; the elevator was diagonally across from him and would only take three seconds to reach its door. However, Xin Yi noticed that there was a camera installed at the elevator entrance. It seemed he would have to disable one after all. 0

Xin Yi opened the room door fully and pulled out an iron nail from his pocket, tossing it expertly to shatter the lens of the camera without missing his mark. He then confidently stepped out of the room and locked it behind him before jumping beneath the camera, grabbing its mounting bracket and tearing it down before tossing it onto the ground. Although this was an act of vandalism, at least it provided a somewhat plausible explanation for why the camera had shattered—after all, it could have fallen off its bracket and broken upon hitting the ground. Of course, this would only fool those foolish and lazy guards. 0

After destroying the camera, Xin Yi opened the elevator door. He certainly wouldn't be foolish enough to pry it open like firefighters do with crowbars; there was a locking mechanism on top of the elevator door that needed to be disengaged for it to open naturally. Once opened, Xin Yi donned gloves and grabbed onto the steel cable of the elevator to slide downwards. The elevator stopped at the first floor; he climbed down through the gap between the elevator and wall and continued sliding down using the steel cable until he reached the level of the underground garage. 0

Just as he was about to open the elevator door at this level, he suddenly felt airflow within the elevator shaft—wind! According to principles of air convection, there should be both an inlet and an outlet for airflow to occur in such a confined space. Since no one was using this elevator now and all doors were closed, air convection shouldn't be possible given how sealed these doors were. 0

In general, there are holes left in elevator machine rooms at top floors for cables to pass through; if that hole served as an air inlet, then another outlet must be at the very bottom of this shaft since he was already at this lowest level of underground parking where airflow could still be felt—only vibration-dampening devices remained below. 0

Temporarily abandoning his idea of opening the elevator door, Xin Yi continued sliding downward until he discovered an opening about half his height amidst clutter and oil stains at the very bottom of this shaft. Using his infrared goggles for observation revealed that this opening had clearly been artificially constructed; it sloped downward at an angle and curved about three meters in without revealing what lay inside anymore. 0

Looks like I won't need to search for secret entrances in underground parking after all! Xin Yi thought to himself; this opening must lead to some underground structure's ventilation system connecting with this elevator shaft—a cleverly designed feature serving both ventilation purposes while remaining discreet enough not to attract attention. 0

Xin Yi pulled out a gun from under his arm and crawled deeper into this opening. After turning around that bend and crawling several more meters, he saw light streaming in from ahead where an exit lay. Cautiously approaching near this exit, he took out his periscope-like viewing device again for another look outside before realizing that what appeared to be an exit was merely another larger passageway—this passageway likely served as a regular walking route since it stood over one person’s height with ample width illuminated by overhead lights. 0

With a push off his feet, Xin Yi slid out of this ventilation shaft into a large passageway before quickly assessing directions; realizing he'd found another parking lot opposite from where he'd come from made him feel frustrated! After all that time spent climbing walls and crawling through holes just led him from one parking lot to another! Just thinking about it made Xin Yi feel exasperated! 0

However, since he was already there, this place still needed to be investigated. Xin Yi stepped back and closed the door again. He decided to use the same method as before, climbing through the ventilation shaft into the elevator shaft, and then entering the building from there. This route should be the safest. 0

Upon entering the building using the old method, Xin Yi suddenly realized that this building was actually the office of the Y Country Moha Group's Lusan branch that he had noticed during the day. This was becoming more interesting; could there be some connection between the Black K Party and the Moha Group? 0

Xin Yi continued to enter the Moha Group's interior through the ventilation shaft. The Moha Group's interior was not as heavily guarded as the parliamentary building, and there were far fewer cameras installed. Xin Yi easily avoided those cameras and patrolled various main floors of the building. However, to his disappointment, he found nothing; the entire building was just like any other commercial building without any flaws. If he hadn't discovered that underground passage connecting to the parliamentary building, he might have searched this building more thoroughly. But that passage indicated that both the Moha Group's building and the parliamentary building were merely transit stations for the Black K Party. It was unlikely that anything important could be hidden here; even if Lijie had been captured, he must have already been moved elsewhere. 0

At this point, it felt as though all leads had suddenly gone cold. The preliminary investigation seemed to have lost its significance, and there was still no trace of Lijie. It appeared that the Black K Party was indeed not an ordinary opponent; they even had connections with Y Country's Moha Group. Xin Yi felt that everything seemed to be part of a grand conspiracy, and at this moment, both Lijie and himself were caught up in this shocking plot. 0

Since he couldn't find any valuable clues within the Moha Group, Xin Yi decided to leave first. After returning, he would discuss the next steps with Xia Yuhe's Intelligence Team. However, now that he knew about the connection between Moha Group and Black K Party, his next investigative approach would likely be broader. As a commercial organization, there would obviously be more channels to explore than with the hidden Black K Party. 0

Taking advantage of the darkness before dawn, Xin Yi slid down one corner of the Moha Group building and quickly disappeared into the shadows of the city... 0
