A small passenger plane reflecting the logo of the International Rescue Organization took off from the runway at Lusang International Airport. In the office of the airport police chief, the chief looked at the few remaining Small Highlights planes and said into the phone, "Chief, the plane has taken off."
"Useless! Good-for-nothing! Trash! ... Just wait to retire at home!" The chief of the New York Police Department roared on the other end of the line before slamming down the phone. The airport police chief, holding the receiver, was stunned for a moment before reacting, angrily shouting into the phone, "Damn it! It's just an early retirement! What's so great about that? I can just go home and farm!"
Just as Xin Yi was pushed onto the plane, he saw Tong Zhan standing there with a serious expression. Tong Zhan had just participated in the operation to transfer Xin Yi but had left after sending Xin Yi and others to the International Rescue Organization's vehicle. Unexpectedly, he saw him again on the plane. Xin Yi smiled and said, "Thank you, Tong Zhan! Are you going back to your country too?"
Tong Zhan did not respond. At that moment, another person walked out from inside—the head of the Heavenly Pride Nation's secret Intelligence Team stationed in Lusan, the general manager of Landau Hotel, and an extraordinarily beautiful woman, Han Yuhe. Xin Yi was taken aback and smiled at Han Yuhe as well, saying, "So, General Han is also going back to your country?"
Han Yuhe smiled at Xin Yi and lightly said, "Yes, all members of the Heavenly Pride Nation's secret Intelligence Team are on this plane. We received orders to withdraw back to our country; it seems our trump card has already been compromised."
Xin Yi was slightly shocked. It seemed that a lot had been sacrificed for his rescue. If he guessed correctly, it was precisely because of him that the Intelligence Team was forced to withdraw back home. The intelligence network built over many years had turned to ashes in an instant. No wonder Tong Zhan had such a serious expression earlier; he must have felt reluctant to part with the intelligence system established step by step with his comrades.
Thinking of this made Xin Yi feel touched—not only because these secret intelligence workers had rescued him but also because they had to give up their hard-earned careers. This kind of sacrifice was even harder for these warriors fighting on the front lines of intelligence work than losing their lives. Looking at Han Yuhe and Tong Zhan, Xin Yi sincerely said, "Thank you so much! I know you have given up a lot."
Upon hearing Xin Yi's words, Tong Zhan's eyes turned red. This veteran agent who had worked on the front lines of intelligence for many years had never shed a tear in front of his comrades' bodies, yet at this moment he felt like crying. This feeling was something that those who hadn't experienced it could never understand. Han Yuhe remained unfazed; she continued smiling and said, "Don't think too much about it; this has nothing to do with you. It was an order from above for us to retreat back home. Besides, we were already exposed; we just didn't know it yet. However, our superiors back home were already aware of this matter. So as far as the entire organization is concerned, we haven't lost our position." Xin Yi understood Han Yuhe's implication: there should still be another group of intelligence personnel hidden deeper within Lusang Nation.
As the plane began to take off, Xin Yi also saw all members of the Intelligence Team. The fair-skinned middle-aged man who impersonated H Country's Vice Consul was named Dong Jin; in Lusang Nation, he disguised himself as a pastry chef. Surprisingly enough, once he took off his chef's uniform and put on a suit, he indeed exuded an air of importance! Dong Jin joked, "This shows our Heavenly Pride Nation's national quality; any chef from Heavenly Pride Nation could become a Vice Consul in H Country!" Amidst laughter, the atmosphere in the cabin became quite cheerful.
How did Xin Yi manage to be timely rescued and transferred by members of the Intelligence Team? In fact, this operation had been planned for some time. During Xin Yi's period of injury and unconsciousness, Han Yuhe dispatched intelligence personnel to investigate his whereabouts. Such a task was not difficult for these veteran agents; thus they discovered Xin Yi's location by the next day. Based on their descriptions, Han Yuhe deduced that the young Heavenly Pride Nation woman guarding unconscious Xin Yi was his fiancée whom he had been searching for. Consequently, Han Yuhe sent intelligence personnel to contact Lijie. After learning about everything that had happened, Lijie finally agreed to meet with Han Yuhe. After their meeting, Han Yuhe thoroughly understood Xin Yi's injuries and reported to Elder Dong from Heavenly Pride Nation's higher-ups. Upon hearing this news, Elder Dong ordered Han Yuhe to do whatever it takes to bring Xin Yi back home—even if it meant returning his body.
However, at that time Xin Yi was still unconscious; if they attempted a hasty transfer it might endanger his life. Therefore, Han Yuhe waited—waiting for either Xin Yi to die or wake up. Ultimately, after twenty days in a coma, Xin Yi woke up. Originally planning for a transfer after his awakening, upon learning about the situation Xin Yi disagreed; he wanted to secure Topology—the best swordsman from Arab Nation—who was indeed a rare talent. Xin Yi thought that if his team could have him join they would definitely gain an advantage; moreover from his interactions with Topology he saw him as a loyal person who valued relationships deeply—missing out on bringing him into his fold would be regrettable.
Finally waiting for Kobe Bryant's visit opportunity arose; Xin Yi figured that as long as he provoked him enough Kobe would want to kill him—and given Topology's character he would certainly stop Kobe from doing so. This moment would create an opportunity for Topology’s inner turmoil and wavering feelings; only by shaking Topology’s current state could future persuasion efforts become easier. Thus during his conversation with Kobe Bryant, Xin Yi deliberately looked down on him and treated his grand aspirations as a joke—sure enough this attitude infuriated Kobe Bryant.
After being provoked, Kobe Bryant not only wanted to kill Xin Yi but also urged Topology to take action. Xin Yi was most satisfied with this outcome; he originally expected Topology to plead for him with Kobe Bryant, which Kobe would obviously refuse. This led to a disagreement between the Boss and the hired hands, and Lijie seized the opportunity to act, knocking everyone out before taking Topology away. As for Kobe Bryant, Lijie's intention was to kill him to complete the mission, but Xin Yi stopped her from doing so. Given the current power of the Black K Party, if Kobe Bryant were killed, the entire Black K Party would be left leaderless, causing chaos within. The repercussions would affect people all over the world where the Black K Party had influence. Therefore, Kobe Bryant could not be killed for the time being. Although he and his Black K Party were factors that could lead to global instability, as long as Kobe Bryant was alive, that instability remained relatively orderly.
However, Topology's decision surprised Xin Yi. Topology chose to exchange his life for loyalty and righteousness, willing to die rather than betray either side. What a broad-minded spirit that must be! Xin Yi had no choice but to let Lijie act at this moment, knocking Topology out first and then bringing him back to their country.
This transfer plan had been carefully planned in advance. For this matter, Han Yuhe specifically consulted her superior Elder Dong. Elder Dong was very excited upon learning that Xin Yi had woken up and instructed Han Yuhe to wait for his notification. Later, Elder Dong somehow managed to arrange a special aircraft from the International Rescue Organization and remotely devised a transfer plan with Han Yuhe. This transfer plan required the complete evacuation of all members of the Intelligence Team because Elder Dong informed Han Yuhe that the Intelligence Team had been compromised; their historical mission had come to an end, and naturally, others would take over their work.
Thus began a series of interconnected transfer actions involving the hospital's hearse transfer and escort by the International Rescue Organization's special vehicle on Airport Avenue. Meanwhile, members of the Intelligence Team had already quietly retreated from their posts and dispersed to wait at the airport for evacuation back home.
The special aircraft soared through Azure skies. Although members of the Intelligence Team felt a sense of loss about leaving their positions, as the aircraft drew closer to Heavenly Pride Nation's territory, anticipation filled their hearts—anticipation for their Motherland and loved ones. Many of these heroic agents fighting in distant lands had not returned home or seen their families for many years. The closer they got to home, the stronger their homesickness became. When the aircraft finally crossed the vast Pacific Ocean and Heavenly Pride Nation appeared in everyone's view, there was suddenly silence on board. Everyone eagerly pressed against their small windows, greedily gazing at the beautiful landscapes of their Motherland below.
At that moment, a deep male voice began to sing: "Yangtze River Great Wall, Yellow Mountain Yellow River, heavy as a thousand pounds in my heart..." It was Dong Jin, the middle-aged man impersonating H Country's Vice Consul. To be honest, his singing was not melodious; it could even be described as off-key. Yet this song resonated with everyone present. They began singing along with him: "No matter when or where, my heart is always close... The blood flowing in my heart surges..." The song soared high above Heavenly Pride Nation's territory.
The special aircraft landed at the capital airport. Unlike others, no one came to greet them; compared to the bustling reception area for commercial flights arriving at the same time, their treatment felt more like that of refugees fleeing here. Although no one spoke about it openly, there was a hint of bitterness in their hearts—these were national warriors and heroes of their people but were less welcomed than a nouveau riche. Fortunately, they used a special passageway and did not have to squeeze through the same exit as those wealthy individuals.
The group silently walked toward the exit of the special passageway. Tong Zhan and Dong Jin pushed Xin Yi and Topology ahead when suddenly they both stopped in their tracks. Everyone looked up and immediately felt a strange light in their eyes while also feeling a lump in their throats. At the exit of the special passage stood three people—two standing beside an elderly man sitting in a wheelchair—each dressed in sharp military uniforms with shining buttons and stars on their epaulets!
Upon seeing them emerge, all three gazed at them with the fierce light inherent in iron-blooded soldiers, scrutinizing their team intently. The elderly man in the wheelchair suddenly raised his right hand solemnly; both men beside him raised their hands simultaneously as well—“smack”—they saluted the group. However, it was noted that the elderly man on the left raised his left hand.
"Salute!" Han Yuhe suddenly called out from within the ranks. There was a sound of luggage hitting the ground followed by everyone straightening up—chest out, legs together—and raising their right hands in unison with a crisp salute. "All present! Form ranks!" Han Yuhe's voice followed with no trace of her usual sweetness; it was powerful and resonant enough to shake everyone's eardrums as they quickly formed into neat rows.
Han Yuhe ran forward with clenched fists and saluted again before reporting loudly: "Phantom Banner Hurricane Team reporting for duty! All assembled! Please instruct us, Chief!"
The elderly man in the wheelchair returned a salute and scanned the ranks with piercing eyes before speaking loudly: "Comrades have worked hard! You have completed your mission excellently; this time we are strategically withdrawing because even more arduous tasks await you..."
