"I can help you," Zhang Yang said with a smile. "My dad was a police officer too; he was my idol when I was a kid."
I have to say, Zhang Yang's words touched Wang Siyuan. Being the child of a police officer was a key factor that brought them closer together.

As soon as he stepped out of the Criminal Police Team's door, Zhang Yang took out his phone and called Black Wolf. They arranged to meet for lunch at a small restaurant in the South District. Once they met, they chose a very secluded corner table.
"Have a smoke, Soft Zhonghua." After sitting down, Black Wolf smiled and pulled out a Soft Zhonghua cigarette.
"Do you want to be the boss?" Zhang Yang lit his cigarette and asked Black Wolf directly.
"Huh?" Black Wolf looked at Zhang Yang with a puzzled expression.
"Wu Liangdong and Black Ghost want me dead, but I ended up breaking Heimu Kai's leg. I guess you didn't know about this." Zhang Yang recounted the events that had transpired.
"I know he was hospitalized." Black Wolf was taken aback; he knew Wu Liangdong wouldn't let it go, but he didn't expect that Black Ghost would get involved without telling him. In fact, Black Wolf was aware that he wasn't one of Black Ghost's trusted subordinates; he was never involved in drug dealings or secret missions and only oversaw a few Red Velvet Clubs and KTVs.
"Black Ghost wants to expand into the South District but hasn't told you, right? The boss of the South District has been taken out, and he wants to take it over with Wu Liangdong's support," Zhang Yang continued.
"The South District has a complex power structure. Although the most powerful boss is dead, it's not easy to break in; there will likely be a storm," Black Wolf replied.
"So, the police are already keeping an eye on Black Ghost and may very well take action against him," Zhang Yang lowered his voice.
"Black Ghost's backing is the deputy director in charge of public security at the West District Police Station. If he manages to get on board with Wu Liangdong this time, it would be worth taking a shot at the South District. If the police go after Black Ghost, I wonder if his two backers will help him out?" Black Wolf analyzed.
"That depends on how things unfold. If it turns into a tricky case, those two backers will only look out for themselves and won't want to get involved in this mess. You've yet to answer my question: if Black Ghost falls, do you want to be the boss?" Zhang Yang stared intently into Black Wolf's eyes and asked seriously once more.
"Heimu Kai is finished. If the police can take down Black Ghost and Black Whirlwind together this time, I can unite with the Black Bear and becoming the boss shouldn't be too difficult," Black Wolf said after thinking seriously.
"Is Black Whirlwind in charge of drugs on your side?"
"Yes."
"Good, keep an eye on those two. If there are any transactions, I'll help you."
"You? The police..."
"I am now a Special Operative in the Criminal Police Team. Keep it confidential." Originally, Zhang Yang was reluctant to reveal his special status, but in order to gain Black Wolf's trust, he had no choice but to disclose it. It would be difficult to deal with Black Ghost without Black Wolf as an insider. And without taking down Black Ghost, the resentment from the ambush couldn't be quelled.

"However, Black Ghost has never let me touch the drug business; it's all handled by Black Whirlwind," Black Wolf said.
"Black Whirlwind? Li Kui?" Zhang Yang nearly spat out the tea he had in his mouth. One Heimu Kai was already ridiculous enough, and now another Black Whirlwind popped up.
"His name is indeed Li Kui, but he's a different kind of Kui—he's not reckless at all; in fact, he's very shrewd. His nickname comes from his name, not his personality," Black Wolf explained.
"Nickname and Great Victory are loyal followers of yours, right?" Zhang Yang suddenly changed the subject. Black Wolf nodded. "Does Black Whirlwind have any loyal followers?" Zhang Yang continued to ask.
"Are you implying..." Black Wolf's eyes lit up.
"Black Ghost doesn't trust you, and Black Whirlwind is very shrewd. We can only find breakthroughs from other angles. With so much drug dealing going on, it can't just be the two of them," Zhang Yang sighed pretentiously.
"There’s a little brother named Tiger Head, who is Black Whirlwind's most trusted. This guy doesn’t talk much, is simple-minded, but very loyal. He has brute strength but lacks skill and always wants to learn a few tricks from me, but I’ve never paid him much attention," Black Wolf said. "It seems I should teach him a thing or two."
"Brother, you are definitely a competent teacher." Zhang Yang raised his glass. "Come on, let's drink to that."
Then, Black Wolf detailed various businesses run by Black Ghost.
Black Ghost indeed has quite a few enterprises under his name, such as the Red Velvet Club, KTVs, bathhouses, and even a registered trading company primarily used for money laundering. There are also dozens of barbecue stalls and restaurants that have to pay protection fees regularly. As for the drug trade, it mainly involves methamphetamine and marijuana, with occasional small amounts of heroin.
Black Ghost is very cautious; he does not distribute meth on his own turf but acts as a primary supplier selling to some direct distributors downstream. As for the source of Black Ghost's drugs, Black Wolf is not clear; among all of them, only Black Ghost and Black Whirlwind know.
During transactions, the little brothers involved are all from Black Whirlwind's side.
Additionally, Black Wolf shared a valuable piece of information with Zhang Yang: although many people have shotguns, there are only two proper handguns among this group—both Type 54 pistols—one in the hands of their leader Black Ghost and the other with Black Whirlwind.
Black Ghost does not participate in every drug deal, but whenever he does, he will be with Black Whirlwind, and both will carry guns.
