Upon hearing this, Zhang Yang was taken aback, and thoughts began to swirl in his mind. Ding Weiwei was clever and beautiful, while Shi Qing had a classical charm; both were stunning women but of different types. To be honest, when Zhang Yang first met Shi Qing, he did feel a stir in his heart. However, Shi Qing was not very talkative, so there was no spark during their interactions. 0

"I believe in Qing Gege's foresight ability, Zhang Yang. Just give up," Qi Shen said, noticing the awkward atmosphere and trying to lighten the mood. He gave Shi Qing the nickname "Qing Gege," thinking that she indeed seemed somewhat out of place compared to ordinary people. 0

Shi Qing maintained a calm expression and smiled slightly as she looked up. "You men, aside from this topic, don't know how to talk about anything else." 0

"I think we should head to the rest area to grab something to eat and take a nap. Let's go!" Liang Ming said, leading the way. 0

In the rest area, it was already crowded with many injured people chatting. When they saw Zhang Yang and the others arrive, they were somewhat surprised. "Oh, look at that! The Shan Hai Squad is all here!" someone remarked while mimicking a gesture reminiscent of Jay Chou. 0

"Did you guys get shot?" Qin Wen approached them with concern. 0

"We got points deducted voluntarily; is it not okay to come visit you?" Liang Ming said as he swayed around the rest area, seemingly counting heads. "I mean, I see there aren't many people outside anymore. If we eat well and take a nap, we can wash our faces and leave in high spirits as the first place winners." 0

Liang Ming was indeed correct; the Shan Hai Squad's score remained at the top, nearly a hundred points ahead of second place. Moreover, none of their members had been eliminated; although Qin Wen had been shot, it only restricted his movement and did not lead to direct elimination. 0

After the outdoor combat training ended, another 21 people were eliminated, leaving 39 remaining participants. Following this, Blade Training Camp surprisingly divided the training subjects into various options such as firearms sniping, climbing and traversing, swimming combat, ambush tactics, and more—each with numerous dazzling choices for the trainees to select from. Under each subject, there might only be three or five trainees, but the instructors were all top-notch experts tested by fire. 0

Arrow was naturally the instructor for firearms sniping, while Kuro Sijin served as both the chief instructor for this short-term training class and the instructor for ambush tactics. However, these training subjects were not merely for learning; if trainees failed the final assessment, they would also face elimination. Therefore, a considerable number of trainees chose subjects they were more skilled in; for example, Qi Shen followed Arrow to learn firearms sniping. 0

Zhang Yang chose a training subject that no one else signed up for: emergency medical care. 0

To his surprise, it was a female instructor. The female instructor was in her forties and named Time Rush—a name that conveyed a sense of urgency. Nevertheless, she appeared capable and upright with well-defined features and sported energetic short hair. Her voice was gentle and pleasant to hear but carried an undeniable tone of authority that left no room for doubt. 0

"Xiao Zhang, why did you choose this training subject?" Time Rush asked Zhang Yang, who was sitting in a chair in a treatment room filled with the strong smell of disinfectant. "If you think this subject is easy to pass, it's not too late to change now." 0

"Instructor Shi, I was exempted from some training subjects earlier. Do you think I should choose a subject I don't like just to pass?" Zhang Yang replied calmly. 0

"Alright. Medicine and pharmacology are vast and profound. In such a short time, I can only teach you some common injury treatments and basic drug knowledge," Time Rush smiled. "Actually, we should have started with a few anatomy classes, but there are no specimens in the training camp right now. Let me first explain the human skeleton, organs, and muscle structure." 0

As Time Rush spoke, Zhang Yang listened and took notes, unknowingly spending the entire morning on this. "That's enough for today; you can digest this information in the afternoon," Time Rush said as she handed Zhang Yang a copy of "Introduction to Normal Human Anatomy" and "Medicinal Plants." "Get a good rest tonight; tomorrow we'll go out to collect herbs." 0

Zhang Yang nodded. Having been separated from his mother since childhood, he felt an inexplicable sense of closeness to Time Rush's maternal aura. 0

The next morning, a military off-road vehicle came to pick up Zhang Yang. Time Rush was already inside the vehicle, dressed warmly, which made Zhang Yang, who was only wearing a light jacket, regretful: it seemed they were going to climb snowy mountains and cross grasslands. 0

The off-road vehicle drove straight out of the training camp's gate and onto the road across the vast Gobi Desert, heading west. After an hour and a half, they arrived at the foot of a large snow-capped mountain. There was a winding path leading up from the base of the mountain; the vehicle climbed steadily until it reached a clearing halfway up where there were no more roads. 0

"Commander, I'll wait for you here! Just let me know if you need anything," said the soldier driving as he shook the satellite phone in his hand. 0

"There are cold-resistant climbing suits, snow boots, and goggles in the trunk; please take them out," Time Rush said as she put on her goggles. Dressed in professional climbing gear against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountains, she looked impressive—far from resembling a woman in her forties. 0

Zhang Yang quickly put on the climbing suit and pants over his original clothes and tucked his previously carried dagger into his boot before following Time Rush up the mountain. Although it was summer, the summit was still covered in white snow. The higher they climbed, the more difficult it became. Time Rush moved swiftly like a professional mountaineer using tools for assistance, while Zhang Yang couldn't help but admire her silently. 0

"Young man, you're quite capable! Have you climbed snowy mountains before?" Time Rush asked when she noticed Zhang Yang's steady pace and agile movements. 0

A scene flashed through Zhang Yang's mind: on the snowy mountains of Southwestern Border, Zhang Xunqiu wore a short white fox fur coat, wielding a serrated short knife in one hand and claw-like gloves in the other as he skillfully scaled the cliff like a great bird. "No, but I've watched some TV programs about it; I have a general idea," Zhang Yang replied. 0

As they spoke, the two climbed up a ridge. At the top of the mountain, Zhang Yang noticed that one side they had climbed was relatively gentle, while the other side was steep and perilous. The summit was quite narrow, with only about twenty to thirty centimeters of space to stand on. 0

"This way is not passable. Let's walk along the ridge; there's a gentle slope over there," Time Rush pointed ahead and walked forward. Zhang Yang closely followed behind. 0

After walking for a while, the summit gradually opened up, and Time Rush quickened her pace. 0

"Ah!" Time Rush's right foot stepped onto a small sloped area covered in white snow, which looked solid at first glance. Unexpectedly, beneath it was a pit; as she stepped down, her foot slipped, and her body tilted toward the sheer cliff! 0

Zhang Yang reacted quickly, pushing off the ground and leaping toward the direction where Time Rush was falling. In mid-air, he extended his right arm and managed to catch her back just as her body was nearly parallel to the mountaintop. He then forcefully pushed upward. Time Rush felt a powerful force supporting her back, and as her body flipped back up, she instinctively adjusted her angle just before she would have fallen over, finally managing to lie down along the ridge with both hands gripping tightly on either side. 0

However, since Zhang Yang was already in mid-air and due to the reaction force from lifting her, his body uncontrollably fell toward the cliff! In mid-air, he hurriedly extended his toes toward the mountaintop but only managed to catch a large mass of ice and snow. 0

The ice shattered and fell away, causing Zhang Yang's toes to lose their grip, and he plummeted down the cliff! 0

"Zhang Yang!!!" Time Rush turned around and saw this scene, letting out a shocked scream. 0
