Director Li's expression changed from red to green and then to white. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Friend, where do you work?" 0

Zhang Yang sneered, "Those without shoes are not afraid of those with shoes. I truly understand this saying now. I already said, less nonsense." 0

"We're leaving!" Director Li swung his arm and turned to leave; Dollhead sighed and followed him out. 0

"Alright, can you sell it to us now?" Zhang Yang said to the manager. The manager still wore a professional smile, "I'm sorry, I just received a notice from the head office that we need to re-evaluate and authenticate this necklace, so it can't be sold for now. You can leave your phone number, and I'll contact you once the authentication is complete!" 0

"You're quick on your feet; it's a shame you’re not a manager," Zhang Yang stood up. "We're leaving; you'll secretly contact Director Li to deliver it, right?" 0

"Sir, I'm just telling the truth. Since that customer earlier—oh, the so-called Director Li you mentioned—doesn't want it anymore, I can sell it to anyone. It’s true that I just received a text notification from the head office," the manager lied smoothly while still maintaining his professional smile. 0

"You were the one who called Director Li first. Did you think I was just trying to scare him? In Haizhou, based on appearance, finding a department head named Li isn't difficult at all," Zhang Yang said as he took out his phone. The phone displayed a photo of Treasure Pavilion with the coral necklace clearly visible, evidently taken casually during their visit to the counter. 0

"Do you know why I'm showing you this photo? For the processing and sale of Red Coral, businesses must obtain an Aquatic Wildlife Management and Utilization Permit. Of course, if you're daring enough to sell publicly, you must have that permit. However, permits are reviewed every two years. If I report you now, it might not go well for you," Zhang Yang smiled. 0

Ding Weiwei widened her eyes in surprise, thinking about how much Zhang Yang had learned. Little did she know that after merging with Strange Soul and consuming Tianshan Snow Lotus, Zhang Yang's memory had greatly improved; reading was no longer a challenge for him. 0

However, Zhang Yang learned about the laws regarding Red Coral from Godmother's Time Rush book titled Medicinal Plants. Although coral is not considered a plant since it is secreted by coral polyps, it has medicinal value and is included in the book along with legal annotations about operating coral businesses. 0

Upon hearing this, the manager of Treasure Pavilion was startled; he knew very well that their permit had not been reviewed in over two years but still forced a smile. "Our permits are reviewed every two years; there's absolutely no problem." 0

"Regardless of whether you've been reviewed or not, I'm going to report it. Moreover, there are legal regulations regarding the accounts related to operating Red Coral that will be monitored by relevant departments. So if I report you after selling to Director Li, there might be trouble for you. It would be better to sell it to me; I'm giving you good advice," Zhang Yang said as he stood up, making it seem like if the manager didn't sell it now, he would leave and report them. 0

"Well then, sir, you're being too harsh. How about this? I'll call the head office again and see if there's any way to make an exception?" The manager was already shaken by Zhang Yang's words and could only say this to cover up his earlier lie. 0

"Alright, I'll wait for you at the counter," Zhang Yang replied before leaving the office area with Ding Weiwei. 0

In the end, Zhang Yang bought the coral necklace at a discounted price of 880,000. 0

"Pretty Boy, you're amazing!" Ding Weiwei exclaimed joyfully as she directly put on the necklace around her neck over her shirt. The white of her shirt paired beautifully with the coral's pink color and Old Amber's reddish-yellow hue. 0

"Of course! Did I study law for nothing?" Zhang Yang tilted his head playfully. "How about a reward?" 0

Ding Weiwei hugged Zhang Yang's neck and kissed him on the cheek. "But you should save some money even if you have it," Ding Weiwei advised after thinking for a moment. 0

"I'll look for some jade stones when I have time; money can be earned back once it's spent," Zhang Yang replied calmly. After absorbing the Spiritual Energy from the Yellow Jade Dragon Vein, Zhang Yang's sensitivity to jade had reached a high level, making it a sure win if he went gambling for stones at this point. 0

Seeing Ding Weiwei's charming face, Zhang Yang's thoughts stirred again, and he said with a mischievous smile, "You must be tired. Let's go eat first, then find a hotel to rest." 0

Ding Weiwei shot him a glare. "I want to eat at Pizza Hut." 0

"What’s so good about that? Let me treat you to a feast instead," Zhang Yang suggested. "How about steak?" 0

"No, I just want Pizza Hut," Ding Weiwei insisted, pulling Zhang Yang toward the nearby restaurant. 0

"Ah, you student girls," Zhang Yang followed her with a sigh. 0

The two were engrossed in each other and did not notice that two pairs of eyes were watching them from a distance. 0

"Qiang, let's just go up and beat him up; why bother with all this?" said a red-haired guy with earrings. The one called Qiang wore a black shirt and shiny leather shoes, sporting a neat short haircut, with a bright golden chain glimmering around his neck. 0

"Red Hair, there are too many people here. Call Xiao Liang and get more people," Qiang said in a low voice. 0

"Is that necessary? Can’t we handle that kid ourselves?" Red Hair replied but still took out his phone. 0

"Beating him up would just make it easy for him! My uncle said if we're going to play, we should cripple him," Qiang said, signaling Red Hair to walk into a milk tea shop across from Pizza Hut. About fifteen minutes later, Xiao Liang entered the milk tea shop with a muscular man. The four of them sat together, sipping tea and snacking while occasionally glancing at the entrance of Pizza Hut. 0

After finishing their meal, Zhang Yang and Ding Weiwei headed toward a nearby star-rated hotel. Qiang and the others followed them from a distance. 0

Room 909. "This room number is quite lucky," Zhang Yang said as he and Ding Weiwei entered the room and closed the door. Zhang Yang's hands began to wander. Ding Weiwei suddenly blushed and exclaimed, "Not that!" 0

Zhang Yang was taken aback but quickly understood that Ding Weiwei was referring to the transparent raincoat. He pointed at the table in the room and said, "Isn't there one right here?" 0

"This one costs extra; when we check out, they'll know we used it." 0

"Does it really matter? Maybe we shouldn't?" 0

"No, it didn't work last time. I was anxious until my period came, so please go buy it, okay?" Ding Weiwei said as she stepped forward and gently tugged at Zhang Yang's ear. 0

"Alright, fine. You rest for a bit," Zhang Yang replied before heading out. 0

At that moment, Qiang was at the front desk. "Hello, my friend just checked in. He's tall and thin; which room did he take?" 0

"I'm sorry, sir, but we cannot disclose which room a guest is in. You can call your friend's mobile phone." 0

"But my phone is dead! How about this: you call his room and just say a friend is looking for him. That should be fine, right?" 0

"That can be done, sir." The receptionist said as she dialed the number 8909 on the landline. Qiang glanced over and suddenly said, "Forget it, another friend has arrived. I'll have him call." 0

Upon hearing this, the receptionist hung up the phone. "Rooms starting with 8 are universal; that means his room number is 909." Qiang then waved to the three of them and they all headed towards the elevator. 0

"Ding!" Zhang Yang stepped out of one elevator just as the doors of another elevator closed behind Qiang and the others. 0
