"Handcuff them!" Huang Lingshan shouted, pointing his gun at the three police officers holding handcuffs.
At that moment, a sudden screech of brakes was heard from outside as a truck came to a stop. The truck's windows were shattered, and its canvas had several slashes. It was the same vehicle that the person had climbed into earlier. This truck looked similar to those in the Seeking Logistics fleet, but upon closer inspection, it was different. Somehow, it had blended into the convoy and now emerged.
"What are you doing?" Huang Lingshan aimed his gun at the driver's seat. He never believed that Zhang Yang and the other two could take down a large group, and now with this truck arriving, he was certain there were people inside.
In the passenger seat, a pair of eyes glinted coldly, fixated on Huang Lingshan's gun without moving an inch. The driver turned his head to glance at him and then gently shook his head at Huang Lingshan, sighing, "You actually dare to play with a gun in front of him..."
The person in the passenger seat opened the door and stepped out. He was a young man dressed in what appeared to be military training attire but without any shoulder insignia. His hair was very short, about six millimeters long, closely cropped to his scalp. His face was angular, with dark skin and sharp eyes.
"Don't come any closer; if you do, I'll shoot!" Huang Lingshan truly disengaged the safety and pressed his index finger tightly against the trigger.
"Go ahead," the young man continued to move forward steadily, taking one step at a time until he was about five meters away from Huang Lingshan.
Huang Lingshan was used to being domineering. Seeing a young man in military attire without insignia stepping out from the logistics convoy, he naturally assumed he was just security personnel from the logistics company. As he watched the young man continue to approach despite his warning, he became furious and shouted as he aimed to shoot at the young man's legs.
Unexpectedly, just as Huang Lingshan shouted, the young man drew a gun from his waist and fired immediately. The bullet whizzed through the air and struck Huang Lingshan's gun barrel directly!
Huang Lingshan felt a sharp pain in his hand as his handgun flew out of his grip and shot backward.
"Rebellion!" Huang Lingshan's right hand throbbed painfully as he shouted angrily, "Someone is attacking an officer; retaliate immediately!"
The police officers nearby quickly drew their guns and aimed at the young man.
"I dare anyone to move!" the Young Man said, blowing smoke from the muzzle of his gun. With a whoosh, about ten people jumped down from the Truck, all dressed in training uniforms and armed with 85 submachine guns. The sound of bullets being chambered echoed as they surrounded the Young Man.
"Military Supplies, how dare anyone attempt a hijacking? I have every reason to believe you are a fake cop!" the Young Man declared loudly.
"This is our transport vehicle, concealed among the logistics convoy. However, none of the logistics vehicles were damaged, while our vehicle had its windows smashed and canvas cut by two individuals. They were unsuccessful and we drove them off, but they left behind a knife and a steel pipe, both of which definitely have fingerprints. It should be easy to find out if any of you are involved."
"Special Forces?" a young police officer with an interest in military affairs exclaimed quietly as he observed the group’s professional grip on their 85 submachine guns.
"Damn it!" Huang Lingshan thought to himself, realizing the gravity of the situation. Initially, he believed no one would be foolish enough to confront a hundred people with just three individuals, especially before any attempts were made to intercept or vandalize logistics vehicles.
It was a trap; Tie Chenggang and Xu Runhu had clearly fallen into it.
"Put down your guns! It's a misunderstanding! Let me explain!" Huang Lingshan quickly commanded the officers beside him to lower their weapons and continued, "We don’t know what happened earlier; we simply received a report and came to the scene. May I ask which unit you belong to?"
"You are correct in responding," the Young Man said as he lit a cigarette and introduced himself. "Shanhai Military Region, X Team, Special Operations Group Leader Qi Shen."
"X Team?!" gasps arose among the police officers. The reputation of X Team extended far beyond Shanhai Province; as a well-known special forces unit in the military, they had collaborated with law enforcement on numerous major cases involving highly equipped criminal organizations. When working alongside X Team, law enforcement's basic requirement was simply three words: follow orders.
Huang Lingshan felt dizzy and was at a loss for words. Qi Shen pointed at Han Shenghui and Azheng, stating, "These two are from the logistics convoy. They witnessed someone hijacking Military Supplies and assisted us in pursuing the two fleeing individuals." He then pointed at Zhang Yang, "This person is from the relevant department cooperating with us. The three of them chased them here but ended up being surrounded by this group!"
Tie Chenggang and Xu Runhu were left dumbfounded. It turned out that Seeking Logistics had staged an elaborate act today to thoroughly deal with Kangbao Logistics and Tiger Gang.
Tie Chenggang clenched his fists tightly, thinking that there was still one last card left—Liang Dao—to prove that this was all just an act. At least he and Xu Runhu would be fine; he just didn't know which two subordinates had lost their knife and steel pipe. Identifying fingerprints would reveal who was who, leading to someone’s downfall.
Han Shenghui and Azheng felt a surge of joy; they truly did not expect Zhang Yang to be so well-prepared, managing to bring in members of the X Team and deploying such a thorough plan.
At that moment, there was a commotion outside as a minibus drove up. After it stopped, there was no movement for a while until Tie Chenggang shouted at the minibus, "Liang Dao!" A chubby man wearing glasses stepped out of the vehicle, his calves trembling as he surveyed the situation.
"Given today's circumstances, we can't film. Let's admit defeat. Whatever the police need from us for cooperation, we will comply with the investigation," Tie Chenggang said before Liang Dao could speak.
Qi Shen sneered, "We still have a mission. I have three points to make. First, we need to take these three individuals with us to assist in our investigation; second, there are too many people here today to investigate everyone individually. We'll take the knife and steel pipe with us, check for fingerprints, and then find the suspects. I believe that if the X Team wants to find someone, they won't be able to escape. Third, since there's been a misunderstanding, I won't pursue the matter of this officer shooting at me and my retaliatory response. Please continue with whatever you intend to do." He then pointed at Huang Lingshan.
Afterward, Qi Shen waved his hand, and the Special Forces holding 85 submachine guns immediately regrouped. Zhang Yang, Han Shenghui, and Azheng also moved toward the truck, and surprisingly, the crowd parted to create a path. Han Shenghui and Azheng were overjoyed, thinking that Kangbao Logistics would no longer block their vehicle.
"Wait!" As Zhang Yang reached the truck, he suddenly turned around, pulled out his phone, and pointed it at Tie Chenggang. "This man from Kangbao Logistics, Tie Chenggang, said that today he is not intercepting Seeking Logistics' convoy but filming instead. Is that correct?"
"That's right; it's all a misunderstanding!" Tie Chenggang thought about tearing Zhang Yang apart but replied smoothly.
"Alright then, let's listen to that segment," Zhang Yang said as he raised his phone and activated the speaker.
