At that moment, Chu Ruoxi was startled. "It's nothing, it's Weiwei's parents," Zhang Yang gently reassured.
Ding Zhaotang had a grim expression, and Ding Weiwei's Mother looked somewhat awkward. "I told you long ago that this kid is no good. "You..." Ding Zhaotang was so furious that he couldn't speak and plopped down onto a chair. Meanwhile, Ding Weiwei's Mother sighed and grabbed a broom to clean up the breakfast scattered on the floor.
"Let's go out for breakfast and let the uncle and aunt calm down," Chu Ruoxi said, pulling Zhang Yang out the door.
Zhang Yang hesitated for a moment, thinking that staying here wasn't a solution. He decided to wait for 48 hours to know the results before making any plans. He nodded to Ding Zhaotang and his wife before following Chu Ruoxi outside.
In response to Zhang Yang's greeting, Ding Zhaotang merely snorted coldly.
The morning in Yanjing was filled with haze and cold air. After leaving the hospital, Chu Ruoxi suddenly asked, "Did you tell them about your breakup with Weiwei?"
"No, what's the point of saying that? The situation arose because of it," Zhang Yang replied with a bitter smile. "I'm feeling very confused right now."
"Let's eat first and talk after 48 hours," Chu Ruoxi said, her expression turning blank before she fell silent.
Throughout the day, Zhang Yang spoke little. Chu Ruoxi wouldn't let him sleep in the hospital and rented a suite nearby instead. It wasn't until 10 PM that she managed to persuade him to go into the suite to sleep while she stayed in the outer room.
The next morning, Zhang Yang arrived outside the Observation Room. By noon, it would be 48 hours since Ding Weiwei had been under observation, and he was eager to know the results.
At 8 AM, Time Rush entered the Observation Room, only coming out at 11 AM with several sheets of Data Sheet. The expressions of Ding Zhaotang, his wife, Zhang Yang, and Chu Ruoxi were filled with anticipation as they waited for Time Rush to speak.
“Neuron has obviously undergone degenerative changes, and these changes are accelerating. The patient has entered PVS Status, and conservatively speaking, there will be no improvement within three months,” Time Rush said lightly.
Zhang Yang had heard Time Rush mention PVS Status before, and his head buzzed, feeling a bit dizzy. Chu Ruoxi immediately supported him from the side.
Ding Zhaotang clearly did not understand and immediately asked, “Doctor, what is PVS Status?”
“It means a vegetative state.”

Zhang Yang and Ding Zhaotang rushed forward to support her. “Get lost! I never want to see you again!” Ding Zhaotang shouted angrily.

Zhang Yang did not know where Ding Zhaotang and his wife had gone and how to get Godmother to go busy herself first. He sat on a plastic chair at the door of the Observation Room.

Behind a large tree in the hospital, Zhang Yang waited until Chu Ruoxi walked away before heading back to the Observation Room.
Although he was determined to take revenge on Xiao Hansheng, he could no longer delay concerning Chu Ruoxi. Ding Weiwei's incident had already filled him with regret; if something happened to Chu Ruoxi as well, he would be unable to face it.
Ding Weiwei's mother had already woken up. When Zhang Yang returned, the nurse and Ding Zhaotang arrived together; they were going to take Ding Weiwei to her hospital room.
Upon seeing Zhang Yang, Ding Weiwei's mother went into a frenzy, refusing to let him get near Ding Weiwei at all.
Zhang Yang took out a bank card that contained the ten million Xiao Hansheng had given him, with more than half still remaining. He handed the card to Ding Zhaotang, saying, "There are still several million in here; Weiwei needs money for her treatment..."

Yu Qingwei's heart sank; this outcome was actually the worst possible scenario, even worse than Ding Weiwei completely leaving them. "What are you planning to do now?"
"I need to kill Xiao Hansheng first and avenge Weiwei!" Zhang Yang said coldly.
"I don't oppose you killing him, but it's not worth sacrificing yourself for him. You'd better find a very reasonable way," Yu Qingwei advised.
"I will. I'm just here to say goodbye; I don't know when we'll meet again," Zhang Yang replied.
"Don't do anything foolish. Weiwei still has a chance to wake up." Yu Qingwei was taken aback; it seemed that Zhang Yang had some thoughts of mutual destruction.
"Am I really that fragile? And it's not just Xiao Hansheng; there's also Toothless. However, Xiao Hansheng is the real culprit, and I must deal with him first," Zhang Yang replied.
"That's good. No matter the outcome, make sure to contact me afterward!" Yu Qingwei extended his hand.
"Okay!" Zhang Yang shook Yu Qingwei's hand and quietly left.
Zhang Yang did not buy a plane ticket but instead purchased a soft sleeper train ticket; he needed to take advantage of every moment to rest. In fact, he didn't know much about Xiao Hansheng. At this moment, he didn't want to contact Shen Zhiyu for help. If Shen Zhiyu knew he intended to confront Xiao Hansheng alone to kill him, he would definitely not agree. Before getting on the train, Zhang Yang removed the battery from his phone, took out the SIM card, and disposed of it in three different places.
After arriving in Shanzhou, Zhang Yang first went to a small clothing store by the roadside and changed into a new outfit, especially donning a black cotton hat that covered most of his head.
He hired a black car and waited at the entrance of Kangbao Logistics until he saw Tie Chenggang in the evening.
As Xiao Hansheng's capable henchman, Tie Chenggang had not been living peacefully lately. Since Xiao Hansheng returned in the past few days, all he had been doing was raising funds. At 10 PM, he was supposed to fly to Hong Kong with his wife Yang Shuman and then transfer to Canada.
Tie Chenggang knew that once Xiao Hansheng left, he might not come back. He had already prepared to send Xiao Hansheng off and then leave immediately himself. Therefore, when processing fake passports for Xiao Hansheng and his wife, he took the opportunity to arrange one for himself as well and booked a flight to leave Shanzhou the next day.
Now, he was going to deliver the passports and tickets to Xiao Hansheng. The reason he was so eager to serve was not because of his loyalty to Xiao Hansheng but because Xiao Hansheng had left him a sum of money that he would receive when delivering the tickets tonight.
A cunning rabbit has three burrows. After returning to Shanzhou, Xiao Hansheng had been living in an ordinary residential building in an Open Community, hiding during the day and coming out at night.
Zhang Yang clearly did not expect that he would efficiently identify the most crucial lead. Finding Tie Chenggang was merely his intuition.
Tie Chenggang did not use his own car or hail a taxi at Kangbao Logistics but walked to a nearby roadside before signaling for a taxi. "Follow them," Zhang Yang tossed a red bill to the black car driver.
The taxi drove into an Open Community. An Open Community is characterized by the absence of walls and property management, with a cluster of residential buildings surrounded by a bustling market and small shops. The roads within the community crisscross, providing multiple exits.
Xiao Hansheng lived on the second floor of a building by the roadside. Tie Chenggang did not get off at this building but instead alighted near another residential building across the street. The kidnapping of Ding Weiwei was chaotic, led by Toothless, so the police had not yet obtained evidence that Xiao Hansheng was the mastermind behind it, and naturally, no arrests had been made.
Zhang Yang got out of the car, only seven or eight meters away from Tie Chenggang. It was just past 7 PM, and many residents who had finished dinner were out enjoying the evening breeze, creating a lively atmosphere. From a nearby small square, the music of "Ouba Kang Nan Si Da" could be heard.
Tie Chenggang was very alert, occasionally glancing back. Fortunately, there were many people on the street, and Zhang Yang kept his head down, walking straight ahead without deliberately looking at Tie Chenggang.
Tie Chenggang went up to the second floor and knocked on the door in front of Room 202 while Zhang Yang had already reached the first floor, listening intently. The knocking sounded rhythmic—three knocks followed by two, suggesting it was a prearranged signal.
Zhang Yang quietly moved up the stairs, gritting his teeth and preparing to spring into action.
With a creak, the door opened.
Before Tie Chenggang could step inside, Zhang Yang dashed forward and swiftly grabbed him by the back of his neck, pulling him into the room. In that instant, Zhang Yang saw that it was Xiao Hansheng who had opened the door for him. A surge of excitement filled him as he used his other hand to close the door behind them.
