Old Monk left with the wolf, and I looked up to see that it was almost dawn, so I decided to head down the mountain directly. 0

At the Taoist temple. 0

I stood beside the large tree pit in the original courtyard, formed a Mao Shi Seal with my hands, recited the Tao Te Ching once, and then stood up to practice a set of Wuqinxi. 0

For over ten years, I had spent every morning this way. After finishing my practice, I would usually go make breakfast and then wake my master. But today, looking at the empty room of my master, I didn't know what to do. I suddenly felt like a fledgling bird that had been pushed out of its nest, and there was no longer that protective figure on the tree. 0

In the end, I still had breakfast at Landlady's. Since we had to catch a bus, we left early in the morning. 0

Before leaving, I bowed three times to the Taoist temple. 0

Lin Miaomiao seemed to be visiting a village like this for the first time; she was full of curiosity about everything, chasing after butterflies along the roadside in the morning sun. She turned back with a bright smile and said, "Yin Zheng'an, let's go!" 0

"Okay." I shook off my previous gloom and hurried after her. 0

Back at JZ Normal University, Lin Miaomiao went straight home while I planned to visit Uncle Xing. Uncle Xing should know why my master disappeared, right? 0

At the Sports Office, the old man on duty today was absent, and even Qing at the front desk was nowhere to be seen. Jin was basically always around; as soon as I entered, I heard the sound of her high heels clicking on the floor. 0

Jin frowned as soon as she saw me, looking quite displeased. 0

Am I that annoying? 0

"Um, Sister Jin, I'm looking for Uncle Xing. Is he around?" Since I couldn't overpower her, I decided to be polite; after all, one shouldn't strike a smiling face. 0

"Not here." Jin squeezed out two words from between her teeth and turned to leave. 0

"Then there's nothing I can do. I shouted, 'Let Uncle Xing know to inform me when he returns.'" Jin didn't look back, so I didn't know if she heard me. 0

Since Uncle Xing wasn't around, I decided to check on Old Black. 0

Behind the cafeteria, a person sat under the "Meal Card Recharge" sign, idly browsing on the computer, resting his chin on his hand, looking perpetually sleepy. 0

"Good morning!" I walked over and patted Old Black's shoulder. 0

Old Black glanced at me and then lowered his head again. 0

"What's wrong? You look drained." 0

"Yawn~" Old Black stretched lazily. "What's up?" 0

"Well, I wanted to ask if I could register for an identity with the Execution Office?" 0

"What do you want to do?" Old Black stared at me as if I were trying to take his job. 0

"I'm broke, just trying to do some side work to make ends meet." 0

"Good morning, just wait a moment." Old Black handed me a meal card. 0

"What the heck is this?" 0

"From now on, use this thing to prove your identity, then go to the next app to take on missions. Complete the missions and come back here to collect your rewards." 0

Damn, could you be any less creative? Here, you can only get a meal card... and I have to download an app. Looks like I need to change my phone. 0

After finishing my business, I don't know what got into me, but I really wanted to check out the Military Training scene. 0

On the playground, neat formations were lined up. Men and women were all dressed in camouflage, standing at attention, marching in place, or crawling forward under the guidance of an instructor in Uniform. I bought half a watermelon from a nearby stall and sat in the shade, eating while harboring resentment... 0

Amidst the intense gazes of all the new students, I comfortably let out a burp. Suddenly, I spotted a familiar face— that lively character named Zhang Lei. 0

Everyone in our class was sitting cross-legged resting, except for him who was practicing his marching. He looked like he had been frozen in place, lifting one foot while balancing on the other, his body slightly trembling. 0

I slowly approached and asked the nearby Sister: "What's going on?" 0

Sister first greedily eyed the watermelon in my hand before replying with glee: "This kid is practicing marching with a limp." 0

Just as Sister finished speaking, a whistle blew and everyone stood up from the ground. An instructor dressed in combat camouflage walked up to me. 0

"Who are you?" 0

Crap, I've gotten myself into trouble... 0

"Yin Zheng'an, I'm in the same class as them but I'm not participating in Military Training due to special reasons." I deliberately answered as loudly as possible. 0

"Health reasons?" 0

"Not at all!" 0

"Then get in line! I don't care what special reasons you have; if you're a man, don't be such a coward. Not even participating in Military Training? What do you want to do?" 0

"Instructor, don't I just need to prove I'm not a coward to skip Military Training?" 0

"Prove it first." 0

"Alright." I assumed the starting position of Wuqinxi and said, "Instructor, please!" 0

The instructor shouted, "You've got guts!" and then delivered a straightforward side kick aimed at my waist. 0

I caught the incoming leg with my hand, embraced it, and used my shoulder to push, toppling the instructor onto the grass. 0

"Good!" The classmates behind me cheered loudly, and even some Sisters started clapping. 0

In truth, the instructor had gone easy on me; he didn't use his full strength, probably afraid of hurting me. 0

"Good job!" The instructor got up from the ground, wiped his mouth, and brushed off the grass from his clothes. "Come on! Let's continue!" 0

Our actions had drawn the attention of students and instructors from other classes, many of whom shifted their gaze toward us. 0

The instructor was skilled; his simple and efficient movements were honed to perfection. If it weren't for my solid stance, I would have lost long ago. However, all those years of practice weren't in vain. Thanks to my Spiritual Sight, I could see every move the instructor made. Even if I couldn't take the hits directly, I could dodge perfectly. Unfortunately, my combat experience was still too limited. 0

Seeing that he couldn't gain an advantage with techniques, the instructor grabbed me tightly with both hands, squeezing hard as he challenged me to a test of strength. 0

I activated Wind Walk on my feet, gliding through the air as I wrapped my legs around the instructor's waist. With a forceful motion, I tossed him up. 0

The instructor was no pushover; he stabilized himself mid-air and, upon landing, rolled to pin me down on the ground. 0

The other instructors nearby watched and cheered. 0

"Stop!" A commanding voice came from behind, authoritative and undeniable. "What are you doing?" 0

A neatly dressed middle-aged man approached. 0

"What kind of behavior is this?" 0

The nearby instructors referred to this man as the Company Commander, indicating that a superior had arrived. 0

"Lin Zhao!" The middle-aged man shouted angrily. 0

The instructor I had been sparring with quickly scrambled to his feet. "Present!" 0

"Run thirty laps around the field!" The middle-aged man ordered with an undeniable tone. 0

"Yes!" The instructor stood at attention, acknowledged, and expressionlessly ran toward the track. 0

"What is your name?" The middle-aged man asked me. 0

"Yin Zheng'an!" 0

"Alright! Great job! I apologize on behalf of your instructor, I'm sorry." The middle-aged man actually bowed to me. 0

"Don't, that's unnecessary." I quickly supported the middle-aged man. "I also have some responsibility in this matter, so please don't let the instructor keep running." 0

"That's not acceptable. He has already violated discipline by sparring with you, and if he doesn't win, how can I set an example for you all?" 0

"Okay." I gave a thumbs up. "I accept the punishment!" 0

I turned around and dashed towards the track, chasing after the instructor who had started first. 0

The middle-aged man's eyes showed a hint of admiration for me. 0

One lap, two laps, three laps—when we reached the eighth lap, I finally caught up with the instructor. (I didn't use Wind Walking Technique.) The other classes had also stopped training and gathered by the track to cheer for me and the instructor, even second and third-year students curiously came over to see what was happening. 0

By the time we reached the twentieth lap, we were both like we had just been pulled out of water—completely exhausted. 0

The instructor still maintained a steady pace but was already starting to struggle for breath. I had practiced Wind Walking Technique, and my master often made me squat in horse stance, so although it was tough, I was barely able to keep up. 0

"Keep going! Only ten more laps!" As we passed our class, the sisters cheered us on. 0

Come on, we're not machines; does cheering really help? Who even knows if it works? Cheering for someone who's struggling is like pushing them to their limits! Why do I still have the energy to complain at this moment... 0

In the last three laps, both the instructor and I were nearly unable to run anymore. I was certain that if we stopped even for a moment, we wouldn't be able to run again. But we were both stubbornly pushing ourselves, determined to finish no matter what. 0

As we passed our class again, my classmates surprisingly rushed onto the track, running alongside me and the instructor at a steady pace while encouraging us. 0

Gradually, it wasn't just our class; other classes joined in as well. By the end, the track was filled with students from Military Training, who accompanied us for the last two laps. 0

After reaching the destination, both the instructor and I collapsed almost simultaneously. 0

On the ground, the instructor extended a hand, and I took it. 0

"Well done! You're not a coward!" the instructor said. 0

"Does that mean I can skip Military Training now?" 0

"What are you afraid of with this level of training?" 0

"I'm afraid of the heat." 0

"……" 0
