Looking up at the brilliant flames, I gently exhaled a breath of pent-up frustration. The Taiji Diagram in my Dantian had been completely depleted; I couldn't tell if this was a blessing or a curse. My feet were barely able to maintain the Wind Walk, swaying as I began to fall. 0

The Exorcism Talismans on the ground gradually dimmed, and the Banner, having lost its magical support, transformed into tattered pieces that fluttered away with the wind. The Infected also began to return to normal. Since I had sealed off the playground from the start, it now prevented any outside Infected from entering. This was a good thing, and those infected students were lying on the ground, slowly regaining their senses. 0

Perhaps I had been too tense before; unlike when I used up my magic in the past, I felt no fatigue now despite being physically drained. Instead, there was a long-lost sense of clarity reminiscent of when I first cultivated my magical energy. 0

Suddenly, my foot slipped, and my body fell like a kite with broken wings from mid-air. 0

A flash of red light appeared as Wang Ni arrived, reaching out to catch me and preventing me from making more intimate contact with the ground. 0

After landing, my first task was to inform Wenquxing at the school gate that the playground could now serve as a base and accommodate many students. Wait, that teaching building wasn't far from the playground; why not have them relocate here first? 0

I asked Wang Ni to notify Red Boy since I simply couldn't run anymore. 0

Having completed these tasks, I finally had time to sit down and check my own condition. The Taiji Diagram in my Dantian was completely exhausted. I let out a bitter laugh; during these years of training with my master, aside from the Eight Treasures Mystique, this Taiji Diagram was what I had cultivated the most. The Taiji Diagram not only allowed me to control my magical energy perfectly but also generated new energy continuously through its rotation. More importantly, it actively healed me when I was injured. This was why I could recover quickly despite being hurt and why my magical energy replenished rapidly. 0

I hadn't expected that by pushing myself so hard, I would completely deplete my Taiji Diagram. How long would it take to cultivate it again? It should be much faster than when I first developed it. 0

Taking a deep breath, I began to regulate my breathing; I still needed to absorb some magical energy. Although there was no Taiji Diagram to operate, I could still use magic—it just felt very laborious without its rotation. 0

As the essence of the earth entered my body, it felt somewhat obscure without the Taiji Diagram; there was an uncomfortable itch inside me. Oddly enough, even when I first started cultivating, I never experienced this sensation. 0

I wrapped the refined magical energy around me three times; in the past, I wouldn't have needed to worry about it because the Taiji Diagram would automatically absorb this refined energy. But times had changed; now I had to carefully organize my magical energy. 0

Just as I was troubled about how to organize it, three points suddenly lit up in my Dantian. 0

The three points formed an equilateral triangle with equal spacing between each side. The points flickered in and out within my Dantian, but as soon as the refined magical energy entered, it was evenly divided among these three points. After absorbing my energy, they suddenly flashed brightly before sinking back into silence. 0

What is happening? With tears in my eyes, I looked at the points; even if my Taiji Diagram had failed me, it shouldn't be like this! Did they just absorb all the hard-earned magical energy? Are you Huang Shiren? 0

Seeing this scene nearly drove me to despair; after years of hard work in cultivation, who would have thought I'd end up in such a predicament? 0

Not willing to give up, I continued to channel refined magical energy into my Dantian. However, once any energy entered, it was immediately absorbed by those three points without a trace remaining. The only option left was to stop letting energy flow into my Dantian. But soon after, due to blockages in my meridians from accumulating energy, it felt like being burned alive. Reluctantly, I had no choice but to let the energy flow back into my Dantian again. Sure enough, it disappeared like a cow sinking into the sea. 0

Sighing deeply, I stood up and looked up; Wenquxing's people had already arrived. 0

The one leading the group was the middle-aged man who had stopped me from fighting with Lin Zhao back then. He was dressed in a combat uniform and surprisingly carried a sniper rifle on his back. Seriously, does it have to be this intense? Do you think we're fighting zombies? I thought to myself. 0

After landing, the middle-aged man first saluted me, and without any small talk, he immediately asked about the situation. 0

"The situation on the playground is under control; there should be another group of students arriving shortly," I replied. "As for the other teaching buildings, I don't know." 0

"The principal and others have already started moving towards the teaching buildings. We can basically ensure that we can handle the students' situation, so you don't need to worry about that. The main issue now is where the culprit is." 0

"It should have started with a few Invaders spreading the infection." I honestly didn't know where those Invaders had come from; it all happened in an instant, and the playground was already overrun. 0

"Brother Yin, could you help us open a breach at the library?" Finally, the middle-aged man made his request. 0

I was at a loss here; my magical power was nearly depleted. If I used Ip Man as a standard, I had enough magical power to use Wind Walking Technique and Spiritual Sight, which would allow me to hold my own against him. But without those factors, I could barely exchange a few moves with Ip Man. In a martial arts movie setting, I'd be taken down in one hit—like claiming to be Ximen Chuiqiu only to be defeated by the real Ximen Chui Xue. 0

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "I can't help you with that." 0

"What's wrong?" The middle-aged man looked at me, lively as ever. "Are you injured?" 0

"Not really; it's just that I've run out of magical power for now." 0

The middle-aged man showed a look of regret but didn't press further. He turned around and instructed his team to take action. 0

I walked up to the podium. I wasn't completely powerless; it was just that my Dantian could no longer store magical power, so I could only use what little I had just refined. Even then, the amount of usable magical power was pitifully small—barely enough to cast an Exorcism or open a Seed Bag. 0

I found an empty spot and sat down heavily, opening my Seed Bag. To prepare for emergencies, I had stored quite a bit of dry food and water inside. After several intense battles, I felt like I could stick my front to my back; I needed to replenish my strength quickly. 0

With so little magical power left, I hurriedly pulled my hand out after feeling around for dry food. If I accidentally lost my magical power while my hand was still inside, it would be disastrous. However, in my haste to pull my hand back, it seemed like I brought something else out with me. Something fell to the ground with a clatter; whatever it was, it didn't matter now—I had no magical power left anyway; I'd put it back later. 0

What came out was a pack of biscuits. Whatever; what does it matter at this point? Am I still picky about food? At this moment, instead of feeling sad about losing my magical power, all I could think about was whether not being able to continue cultivating meant I could eat meat again. 0

Well, this is as far as I've fallen; I'm hopeless. 0

Next to me were the Infected whom I had just exorcised; they had returned to normal but were still weak. That's why I found myself lying on the podium with them for a while. Turning my head, I saw someone familiar beside me. 0

"Hey hey hey." I patted that person's shoulder vigorously. "What's wrong with you?" 0

The person in uniform, clearly a soldier, was lying on the ground with his head tilted. Wasn't that Lin Zhao? He was one of the first to be infected when the Invaders began their assault. 0

"My head hurts," Lin Zhao's first words were surprisingly about pain. 0

"Aren't soldiers supposed to bleed without shedding tears?" I mumbled through a mouthful of crackers. 0

"I didn't shed any tears." 0

"That's true, why eat crackers then?" I offered him the crackers in my hand. 0

"Thanks, but no need." He pushed the crackers away. "What on earth is going on?" 0

"How would I know?" I chewed on the crackers, speaking indistinctly. "We were suddenly attacked and got infected. I ruined my future because of this." 0

"What happened to you?" 0

"Sigh." I shrugged. "I can't fight you anymore; my powers have been completely drained." 0

"Too much indulgence?" 0

"Get lost." 0
