At the cost of an arm, I and Black Wuchang finally confirmed the identity of that black monster; it turned out to be a Witch living in Three Rivers Water! Why is there a Witch near JZ Normal University? 0

Three Rivers Water, a river said to cleanse everything, runs through the entire Underworld and connects the realms of the living and the dead—Yellow Springs Road was built along Three Rivers Water! 0

In the past, Three Rivers Water was the only passage into the Underworld, so there were living beings within it whose purpose was to prevent anyone from attempting to escape from the Underworld through Three Rivers Water. However, later on, Yellow Springs Road was constructed along Three Rivers Water, and eventually, the Underworld came under the jurisdiction of the Ten Kings of Hell, each governing different areas. Two figures appeared on Yellow Springs Road—Ox-Head and Horse-Face. No one could escape the watchful eyes of these two Demon Gods anymore, and at the same time, the creatures in Three Rivers Water lost their purpose for existence. (Ghosts escaped because there were traitors, allowing them to flee from hell.) 0

The Witch has a human upper body and a lower body resembling that of a crocodile. Her legs are short and weak, but she has a strong tail that helps her move agilely in water. Thus, the Witch is extremely nimble in water but can hardly move on land. 0

With a flick of her tail, the Witch disappeared into the river. 0

"Yin Zheng'an, you go lure her out while I use chains to catch her from the shore," Black Wuchang said as his arm quickly recovered. He grabbed a chain and we devised a battle plan. 0

"Black Sir, if I could swim, I wouldn't need you," I said to Old Black with an unfriendly tone. "Why don't you go instead? I'll catch her from the shore." 0

"If I could swim, I wouldn't need you either," Old Black shot back at me. 0

"How about this: we throw a brick into the water to see what happens?" Didn't Ma Han do something similar before? 0

"That method wouldn't fool even an average Idiot," Old Black looked at me as if I were just that—an average Idiot. 0

"What should we do then? Do you have any friends who are good swimmers?" 0

"I don't befriend those who can swim." 0

"Why not?" 0

"I'm afraid they'll invite me to swim with them." 0

There really is no way around this. Old Black and I are just two clumsy ducks; once we hit the water, all we can do is flounder. Let's not try to catch Witch; going down there would be about the same as feeding fish. 0

"What do we do now?" Black Wuchang and I stared at each other on the shore, completely at a loss. 0

"It's too late to sign up for a swimming class now," Black Wuchang shrugged, adopting a helpless demeanor. 0

"How about this: you can fly, right? You could fly above River Surface and use a chain from your back to drive it. As soon as it surfaces, you can hand it over to me." 0

I hadn't used Octagonal Taiji yet, but as long as I could bind Witch, it would be simple. Old Black's chain can extend infinitely, so we don't need to go into the water to chase Witch. The moment Witch surfaces, I can immediately control it with the Taiji Diagram. 0

"Looks like that's our only option." Black Wuchang began to slowly float up, half suspended in the air as he threw out the chain. 0

The chain seemed to have eyes of its own as it locked onto Witch beneath the water. There was a subtle aura surrounding Witch that most people wouldn't notice, but what is Black Wuchang? He is an outstanding representative of the Underworld, so this little detail was nothing for him. 0

The stick I had flown out earlier was still floating on the River Surface. I stood up and lightened my body to its most agile state, firmly stepping onto the stick. 0

I kept my eyes fixed on the water's surface. Witch was incredibly agile in the water; I really couldn't understand how Ma Han managed to hit it with a brick. 0

I took out my Peach Wood Sword, unsure if it would work against Witch. I wrapped it in the Golden Light Spell, formed a hand seal, and let the wooden sword hover behind me. 0

Finally, Witch was forced out of the water by Black Wuchang's chain. Although only its tail was visible, I focused my thoughts and shot the wooden sword straight at the exposed part of Witch's tail. 0

The wooden sword, enveloped in the Golden Light Spell, struck directly into Witch's tail with great force. After piercing through, the sword maintained its momentum, but I played a trick and intentionally lodged it in Witch's tail. 0

The Peach Wood Sword has buoyancy and can hinder Witch's agility in the water, making it much easier to catch it. 0

In pain, Witch thrashed on the water's surface, splashing everywhere. 0

The chains of Black Wuchang were not idle either; they twisted in the water and then contracted, intending to bind the Witch. Unfortunately, the Witch flicked her tail and swam away. 0

"Ah, just a step too slow. Now it's going to be trouble if she comes out," Black Wuchang muttered in the air. 0

"It's fine, take your time, no rush. At worst, I'll treat you to breakfast after this," I attempted to continue controlling the wooden sword, but my focus was obstructed by the river water, making it impossible to control. 0

"Good morning! Then I really have to put in some effort," Black Wuchang perked up at the mention of a meal. With a shake of his arms, another iron chain emerged from the water, surrounding the Witch from both sides. 0

"Damn, still hiding some tricks," I murmured under my breath; Black Wuchang truly believed that having power meant everything. 0

"Add some fire!" Black Wuchang shouted, and suddenly two iron chains ignited with a ghostly green flame. I recognized this fire; it was Ghost Fire from hell! 0

How could ordinary river water extinguish Ghost Fire? Thus, even the chains underwater were engulfed in fierce flames. 0

Black Wuchang was not afraid of Ghost Fire, but the Witch did not possess such resilience; just a touch of Ghost Fire would be disastrous for her! 0

Black Wuchang deliberately avoided the River Surface around me, weaving the chains beneath it. Before long, the entire river was shrouded in eerie green flames. 0

The Witch could only remain on the River Surface beneath me and soon found herself forced above it again. Suddenly, I sensed the presence of the Peach Wood Sword; with a thought, I lifted the wooden sword and grabbed the Witch by her tail as it flew up. 0

Controlling this wooden sword was already quite easy for me, but carrying a Witch with it proved to be quite strenuous. 0

The Witch weighed about the same as an ordinary person, and merely lifting her out of the water nearly exhausted me. I quickly urged Octagonal Taiji. 0

The Yin Yang Fish swirled around and approached the Witch. I extended my left palm and suddenly swung it down into a fist. 0

The Yin fish represented night while the Yang fish represented day; as they spun, they tightly bound the Witch. Following that, Black Wuchang's chains came in succession, wrapping around the Witch several times before pulling her forcefully to the shore. 0

"Is that it?" I was somewhat surprised because the plot had progressed too smoothly. 0

"Of course," Black Wuchang replied irritably. "The magic I just used is enough to reap a whole group of souls. If you were to switch to another Wuchang, they might not even be able to do it." 0

It was clear that Old Black had really put in the effort; the iron chains in his hands were slightly trembling, his eyes were bloodshot, and he was panting heavily, indicating he was exhausted. 0

"What should we do about this? Can the Wuchang passage send it to the Underworld?" 0

Wuchang is a special Ghost Messenger responsible for Soul Reaping in hell. Ordinary Wuchang also falls under the category of ghosts, but Black and White Impermanence are exceptions. The two of them are the heads of Wuchang Ghosts, holding a status in the Underworld comparable to that of Thousand-Mile Eye and Listening Ear, functioning as deities with specific roles. Wuchang's Soul Reaping enters the human realm through a special passage, but this passage has a peculiarity: it only allows souls to enter and exit. 0

Witches are living beings that cannot pass through the Wuchang passage into the Underworld. 0

"Let's clarify the situation first; I'll figure out a way later," Black Wuchang said, crossing his arms over his chest, appearing calm and collected. 0

"Can this thing talk?" I kicked at the Witch, who turned around and bit at me, prompting me to quickly retract my foot. 0

"I don't know; I've never dealt with one before. Why don't you give it a try?" Black Wuchang said irresponsibly. 0

As Black Wuchang and I were squatting next to the Witch examining her, we noticed that the Ghost Fire that Black Wuchang had extinguished had reignited. 0

The Ghost Fire was small, only about the size of a palm, drifting lightly across the River Surface. By the time Black Wuchang and I noticed it, it had already landed on the Witch, and in an instant, the Ghost Fire scorched her entire tail. 0

Black Wuchang reacted quickly; he opened his mouth and sucked the Ghost Fire into his stomach. When I turned back to look at the River Surface, a Daoist figure shot up from the water into mid-air, seemingly trying to escape! 0

"Not good!" I exclaimed, activating Wind Walk under my feet and rising to chase after the figure. 0

The figure moved extremely fast, flying several miles away in an instant. 0

"Damn, I can't catch up." I cursed quietly as the Wind Walk technique began to fade away beneath my feet. 0

Just when I was about to give up, something unexpected happened! 0

A red light streaked across, colliding with a figure. The figure was enveloped in red light and wielded a weapon. After the collision, it swung its weapon, engaging in a fierce battle with the other figure in mid-air. 0

The red light's offensive was strong, forcefully knocking the figure down from the air. The figure, unwilling to get entangled, fell for about a hundred meters before maintaining its altitude, attempting to escape like an arrow released from a bow. However, the red light had no intention of letting the figure go and immediately pursued it. Realizing escape was impossible, the figure could only engage in combat with the red light in mid-air. 0

In the air, the two Daoist figures began exchanging blows. Seeing that someone had arrived, I decided to stay and quickly activated Wind Walk to chase after them. 0

Having used the Wind Walking Technique frequently lately, my skills had improved significantly. I could now run atop the treetops thanks to Wind Walk. 0

As they say, "A mountain looks closer than it is." Although the red light and the figure appeared to be fighting not far away, getting close was still quite challenging. 0

In the distance, the figure had given up on fleeing and was now entangled with the red light. However, it seemed that the red light was clearly no match for the figure. Before long, the figure began to gain the upper hand. The red light was forced back by the figure's attacks, and soon enough, the figure seized an opening and delivered a powerful kick to the red light, transforming into a Black Light and fleeing. 0

The red light chased after Black Light for a while but soon realized that their speeds were not even comparable. In no time at all, Black Light vanished into the distance. 0

With no choice left, the red light turned back and flew toward me. It moved quickly and soon appeared before me. 0

I looked at the red light and exclaimed, "Red Boy?" 0
