Slowly turning my head, I wanted to see who the Sixth Person was. We hadn't even entered the tomb yet, and ominous things were already approaching; this was not a good sign.
With a flick of my wrist, the Wakizashi appeared in my hand. "Who is it? Show yourself."
It was then that others finally noticed; there was unexpectedly another person in the group. Zhang Fan had already gripped his Brass Sword tightly.
The person stood at the very end of the group, head lowered, making it hard to see their face. However, judging by their figure, they didn't seem like a man.
"It's me." The person lifted their head, revealing a delicate face.
"Xia Liyi?" I recognized her; it was indeed Xia Liyi. How did she get here?
"How did you follow us?" I asked sternly.
"Are you going into the tomb?" Xia Liyi showed no signs of retreating and instead fixed her gaze on me and my team.
"No." I quickly denied it. We were planning to go down to the Tomb with the Archaeologist's team; wasn't that courting death?
"Stop making excuses. I've already heard everything. You are going down to the tomb, and you've made arrangements with the military," Xia Liyi said. "If you're going down, take me with you."
Take you with us? It would be difficult enough for us to return; how could we bring her along? Was she crazy or were we?
"Stop messing around," I said. "We're not going down for fun; you should go back. It's too dangerous down there."
"If you don't take me, I'll scream and call those professors over. Let's see if you can still go down then," Xia Liyi threatened.

I tossed a bell to Xia Liyi. "Tie this around your ankle."
There's no helping it; one more person is one more person. With our current team, we can just rescue whoever we find and leave. As for Blood Cultivation, we'll see how it goes.
We entered the entrance of the Tomb along the corridor, and now it was time for Earthwalker to show his skills.
At the side of the entrance, there was a hole blown open by a shell. Lin Zhao and the others had entered through this hole; now it was our turn.

The inside of the Tomb was very dark and had an unpleasant smell. The damp soil underfoot made it difficult to walk, but I could see footprints on the ground thanks to the weak light from my flashlight.
These should be Lin Zhao's footprints, meaning Lin Zhao and the others had come this way too.
Holding a compass and a Spring Knife in my hand, I had already given Xia Liyi the Wakizashi. Although it wouldn't be much use in her hands, at least having something would give her some peace of mind.

The Demon Tomb is different from an ordinary Tomb; strange occurrences inside are not surprising. Moreover, the troubles from the Blood Cultivation incident have yet to be resolved.
After stepping over three flights of stairs, we officially entered the first burial chamber. Typically, the first burial chamber would not contain a coffin; if there is one, it would either be empty or suspicious.

When we descended earlier, we had walked down three flights of stairs. Now that I retraced my steps, the stairs had vanished, replaced by a statue.
The statue was of Azure-Faced Fang, with flared nostrils and two long fangs protruding upward from its lower jaw. It glared fiercely ahead, its upper body exposed, holding a trident in its hand.
The statue was only half a person tall but emanated an extremely sinister aura.
"I've never seen this statue before," I murmured. Such statues are indeed rare in Huaxia; typical statues have benevolent expressions. Azure-Faced Fang resembles only those ghost generals from the Underworld.
However, this statue was definitely not a ghost general.
I turned around and took a glance at the road ahead.
Damn it, in that brief moment, something strange happened. It seems that this is where Lin Zhao and the others got lost, but when exactly did I get separated from the others? I had been paying attention to the sound of the bells on our ankles.
Right, the only time our bell sounds stopped was when I raised my hand to signal a stop. Could it have been then?
After thinking for a moment, I turned around.
The statue had vanished.
Behind me was another long path.

I had almost reached the end of the long path when I turned around.

I saw the statue.
It was still that Azure-Faced Fang statue, and there were only my footprints on the ground.

At that moment, a figure suddenly flashed in front of me, and a person appeared out of thin air.
The person was holding an umbrella and walked towards me.
"Li Su?" I exclaimed in surprise as I looked at the figure. Wasn't this the same Li Su I had lost contact with earlier? It seemed he had been randomly sent here just like me.
But Li Su walked right past me as if he didn't see me at all.
He didn't see me? How could that be possible?
"Li Su." I reached out and grabbed his arm, but my hand passed right through him.
Was this Li Su a person or a ghost???
