Looking at the Skeleton wrapped up like a Zongzi, I let out a sigh of relief. I reached out and pulled off several bones from the Skeleton that had markings on them. 0

After removing all the marked bones, a glowing green flame suddenly ignited on the Skeleton, completely incinerating it. 0

"What’s going on? Why is it burning like this?" I asked. 0

"It should be a protective mechanism. This skeleton must have some kind of Restriction placed on it to prevent other unmarked bones from being exploited," Shaoming explained. "We have similar secret techniques in our Fox Demon Clan." 0

The methods of the demon clan are indeed ruthless, but it's understandable; after all, for demons, their bodies hold the greatest secrets. Other demon clans can even analyze lost secret techniques and bloodlines from a single corpse, and in more extreme cases, they might turn lost demons directly into weapons. So, it's not surprising that demons have such precautionary measures. 0

The glowing green flames quickly reduced the massive Skeleton to a pile of white ash, and in the center of the ash was a bone resembling a finger bone. 0

Shaoming picked up the finger bone and handed it to me. 0

"Hold onto this; it might come in handy later." 0

"What use is this?" I looked at the finger bone in my hand. "Isn't this from the Skeleton we just saw?" 0

"I don't know," replied Shaoming. 0

After leaving the room, Shaoming and I intended to return the way we came. However, we discovered that what was once a wall had now transformed into a tomb passage. 0

"Did it get shifted?" Shaoming muttered to himself. 0

"Seems like it. But which way should we go?" There were tomb passages on both sides. 0

"This way," Shaoming pointed to the newly appeared passage. "I feel like there's a huge demonic aura inside." 0

"Alright, I'll listen to you." I squatted down, and Shaoming obediently climbed onto my back, wrapping her arms around my neck. 0

The newly appeared tomb passage was much wider than any I had encountered before, and along both sides of the passage were torch-like objects. As I slowly walked into the passage, the torches automatically ignited one by one. 0

The flames atop the torches were a glowing green, similar to the flames that had burned the Skeleton before. This eerie color illuminated the passage in a chilling manner. 0

"Is this Ghost Fire?" I looked at the green flames and said, "No, although it has the same color as Ghost Fire, it feels colder and more sinister." 0

"It should be Demon Fire," Shaoming replied. "Some demons are born with the ability to control fire; this is likely a type of Demon Fire." 0

"What about your flames?" The Fox Demon Clan also possesses the innate ability to control fire. 0

"The Fox Spirit's flames are hidden in the tail. I was close to cultivating a second tail before, so I could use fire then. But now I've reverted back to having just one tail, so I can't use it." Although Shaoming said this, it was clear she held no ill feelings about it. After all, before her transformation, she had lost all her tails, but now she had been reborn and had grown her first tail again. 0

"You're still a bit better off," I said as I adjusted Shaoming, who was slipping down slightly. "At least it's lighter carrying you." 0

"I used to be light too!" Shaoming retorted angrily. "If a girl can't be carried, what kind of man are you?" 0

"Sorry, I'm still a baby." 0

"Do you have no shame?" Shaoming gritted her teeth. 0

"Nope, I'm tomb raiding; what do I need shame for? Life is more important." 0

The atmosphere suddenly fell into an icy silence. 0

"Hey, my master, do you prefer how I look now or how I looked before?" Shaoming suddenly asked. 0

"What do you want to do?" I replied lazily, "It's all the same." 0

"What do you mean it's all the same?" Shaoming said, "I used to look so good. Don't you miss how I used to be?" 0

"Good-looking? I don't think so," I said deliberately. "But didn't you say you didn't want to call me master? Why are you saying it so easily now?" 0

"Master," Shaoming's voice suddenly turned teary, and then she tightened her grip around my neck. "Why did you have to consume the Essence of Blood from Pixiu for me?" 0

I was taken aback. Why? Had I ever thought about why? It seemed not. I just felt that I had to save this girl named Shaoming. As for why? 0

"Because you called me master," I thought for a moment and replied. 0

"Is that the only reason?" 0

"Do I need any other reason? I promised Fox Fairy Grandmother that I would take good care of you, even though you might not really need my care." 0

In Drunken Hero, it was the first time I risked my life for someone. I didn't know why; clearly, I could have waited for Uncle Xing to send reinforcements before charging in. But just thinking about Shaoming being in those people's hands made me feel like I couldn't wait. 0

"I also have a master," I began to think about Pervert. "I was an orphan and never met my parents. From the time I could remember, I only had one master." 0

"My master is very lazy, so usually all the chores fall on me. However, despite his laziness, when I first drew the Taiji Diagram in my Dantian, he stayed by my side for three nights. To teach me how to draw talismans, he used his own blood to create guiding characters for me." 0

"I lived with my master for almost a year, and when I was consuming Pixiu Blood and felt like I couldn't hold on any longer, I heard my master's voice." 0

"When I was about to die, my master saved me," I said. "Isn't it only right for a master to save their disciple? My abilities are low; I can't do things as effortlessly as my master does. But I still have a life to fight for; I can fight with all my might. Even if it doesn't help, at least I won't let my disciple die in front of me." 0

For me, I had no feelings towards my parents. As a disciple of the earth and teacher, I wouldn't kneel down; there were no rulers or parents. The only one who could make me willingly kneel was my master. 0

"Master," Shaoming said. 0

"Yes, is there anything else?" 0

"Watch where you're going, stop being so sentimental, can't you see you're about to hit a wall?" Shaoming pointed to a turn ahead. 0

"Damn it, I was just feeling emotional, and now you've thrown a bucket of cold water on me." 0

After turning the corner and walking a few steps, we were blocked by a large door. 0

The door was made from a solid piece of stone, likely lowered directly from above, sealing off the tomb passage and impossible to push open. 0

"Does this mean we need to blast the door open?" I asked as I looked at the door. 0

"The finger bone from before, that's the key," Shaoming looked at me as if I were foolish. "Haven't you ever seen Tomb Raiding?" 0

"Oh," I said, taking out the finger bone and finding a hole in the stone door that matched it perfectly. 0

I pressed the finger bone into the hole, and like a rolling shutter, the stone door rose up. 0

Once the door opened, we found ourselves in a very spacious room, resembling a conference room, at least the size of a basketball court. In the center of the room was something like a sand table; aside from that, there was nothing else. 0

"Who?" A familiar voice came from the other side. 0

Zhang Fan? I wondered. It sounded like his voice, but how could Zhang Fan be here? 0

“Zhang Fan?” I asked uncertainly, “Is that you?” 0

“Boss?” Zhang Fan also questioned. 0

It was only when I fully entered the room that I realized it really was Zhang Fan. Besides him, Xia Liyi was also there. 0

“Xia Liyi? How did you guys end up here?” 0

“We came straight here after walking down the tomb path. But Boss, you all suddenly disappeared!” 0

“You didn’t stop when I signaled?” 0

“It was too dark; we couldn’t see.” 0

“” 0

It seems that Zhang Fan and the others accidentally took the right path. This means that as long as they didn’t stop on the first tomb path and turned back, they would directly arrive at this meeting room. 0

“You guys are really lucky.” I sighed, feeling helpless. 0

Is this what they mean by ‘fools have good fortune’? The two least coordinated people in the team ended up doing the best. 0

“Yin Zheng'an, where did you all go?” Xia Liyi stood up and asked, “Were you trying to ditch me?” 0

“Ditch her? Master, is she your girlfriend?” Shaoming jumped down from my back. 0

“Kid, don’t talk nonsense.” I gave Shaoming a light smack on the head. “Here’s the thing: this tomb path is strange. If you stop moving and then turn back, you’ll be transported away.” 0

"Transfer? Yin Zheng'an, do you think I'm three years old?" Xia Liyi looked at me. 0

"Sigh, I knew it. This method is just too hard to believe." I had no choice but to tell Xia Liyi the truth: "Xia Liyi, do you believe there are Demon Gods in this world?" 0

"I don't believe it. If I believed in ghosts, I wouldn't be an Archaeologist." 0

"Then you're mistaken, Shaoming, show her." 0

Among us, Shaoming was the most convincing. 0

Although Shaoming was very reluctant, she still complied. With a sharp shout, a tail extended from her skirt, and at the same time, pointed fox ears sprouted from her head. Her canine teeth elongated along her lips, and her eyes turned into an eerie pink. 0

"Shaoming is a demon, a Fox Spirit," I explained. "And the Tomb we are currently in is very likely the grave of a great demon, which means this is a Demon Tomb!" 0

Xia Liyi stared in astonishment at the transformed Shaoming, momentarily speechless. 0

"A demon?" she whispered in disbelief. 0

"See? You've never seen such a cute spirit before, have you?" Shaoming said proudly, her fox tail swaying behind her. 0

Typically, a Fox Spirit's tail would be either red or yellow, but Shaoming's tail was Azure, mixed with quite a bit of golden fur. The transformation of Shaoming was actually a good thing; previously, due to certain reasons, her first tail had been severed, cutting off her path as a fox spirit. However, after this rebirth, although she could never cultivate the secret arts of Tushan, she could embark on another path to immortality. 0
