In the room of Azure Vine, Lingfeng lay on the bed. A damp towel on his forehead emitted wisps of white mist.
Azure Vine sat on a green wooden chair, quietly listening to Water Demon recount the events. The Immortal Peach was originally given to Lingfeng by Water Demon, who had not thought much of it at the time, believing that Lingfeng had the ability to absorb the Immortal Peach. However, this led to unforeseen consequences.
Azure Vine stood up and paced back and forth in the room. After a moment, he tentatively said, "Water Demon, since the peach has a water attribute, do you think Fire Peak has the ability to resolve the issue with the Immortal Peach?"
Water Demon shook his head and pondered, "Over all these years, the Demon Suppression Sect has never encountered a situation like Lingfeng's, so there is no known way to rescue him. However, as you mentioned, perhaps we should give it a try!" Water Demon was not entirely confident; it was indeed true that water and fire were opposing forces. Yet, resolving the Immortal Peach within Lingfeng would likely require someone of considerable cultivation.
The Peak Master of Fire Peak, Fire Serpent, was also a fellow disciple of Azure Vine. He was known for his fiery temper and practiced fire-based spells. Despite his volatile nature, he was helpful and harbored a deep hatred for those who oppressed the innocent, wishing to eradicate them completely.
Azure Vine disregarded any guests and stepped onto his Flying Sword, transforming into a beam of light as he descended onto the altar.
Without much conversation, Azure Vine grabbed Fire Serpent and began to leave.
Fire Serpent was bewildered; having just consumed a century-old fine wine, his previously dark face now glowed red, and even his thick neck appeared darker. Being inexplicably pulled away by Azure Vine left him quite displeased as he complained, "Second Senior Brother, what are you doing? I haven't finished drinking or eating yet!"
Azure Vine casually tucked a bottle of century-old wine into Fire Serpent's arms and took an Immortal Peach, urging him hastily, "There's no time for explanations; I'll explain later!"
Still confused and somewhat tipsy, Fire Serpent had already forgotten what had just happened and did not think further about it. Reluctantly, he followed Azure Vine onto the Flying Sword.
They arrived at Azure Vine's residence in less than half a minute.
Fire Serpent had not yet used his sword control skills; this was his first time flying quickly on a Flying Sword, nearly causing him to regurgitate everything in his stomach.
Azure Vine paid him no mind and dragged Fire Serpent into the house.
Water Demon was changing Lingfeng's towel when he heard Fire Serpent's mumbling and hurried out to greet them. With sweat covering his face and an anxious expression, he said urgently, "Second Senior Brother, Seventh Junior Disciple, hurry! If we don't digest the peach inside Lingfeng within an hour, Lingfeng will..." In the end, Water Demon could not finish his sentence.
Fire Serpent did not know what Water Demon was saying, but upon seeing Water Demon at Azure Vine's residence, his previously hazy eyes became clouded again, and he loudly muttered, "Senior Sister, what are you doing here? Speak honestly!" After that, he started laughing to himself.
Azure Vine stamped her foot and said anxiously, "There's no time for jokes; saving someone is the priority!"
After Azure Vine's hurried explanation, Fire Serpent understood only half of it, knowing that he needed to save someone.
Arriving at Lingfeng's bedside, Fire Serpent furrowed his brow tightly. After hearing from Azure Vine about how Lingfeng was injured, his frown deepened even more, and even the effects of the alcohol faded somewhat.
"I don't know if my Fire Serpent technique can dispel the aura of the Immortal Peach," Fire Serpent said uncertainly. Although his technique was a nemesis to water-based methods, he was unsure if it could resolve the issue with the Immortal Peach.
"We can only try," Azure Vine replied with a trembling voice.
Fire Serpent nodded and took out a red pill from his Treasure Bag, which was the secret medicine from Fire Peak, the Fire Spirit Pill. He placed the pill in Lingfeng's mouth and used his True Qi to help Lingfeng swallow it. Then he sat cross-legged behind Lingfeng, employing his Fire Serpent technique.
Azure Vine and Water Demon exchanged glances, uncertain in their hearts.
As Fire Serpent began to channel his energy, his entire body gradually emitted a fiery red glow that intensified until both Lingfeng and Fire Serpent were enveloped in a red aura.
Fire Serpent continuously changed the position of his hands; sometimes they formed fists, other times they opened into palms. With each change in movement, bursts of clear water-colored gas erupted from within Lingfeng's body.
After a while, Fire Serpent was drenched in sweat, but the sweat instantly turned into steam. Before long, Lingfeng’s body was completely soaked as if it had been rained on. As Lingfeng became wetter, the redness on his face gradually faded.
Azure Vine let out a sigh of relief; Lingfeng’s complexion indicated that Fire Serpent’s technique was gradually dispelling the aura of the Immortal Peach within him.
Suddenly, between Fire Serpent's palms and Lingfeng's back, a fist-sized transparent water sphere appeared.
Water Snake was taken aback and murmured, "It's actually a water-based technique, Water Blade!"
Water Blade is a low-level water spell that collects surrounding moisture to form a water sphere, which then shoots out transparent blades of water until the sphere disappears. The deeper one's magical power, the larger the water sphere becomes, resulting in more blades.
Azure Vine shook his head and denied, "No, this should be the essence of Immortal Peach."
Sure enough, after a while, the water sphere returned to Lingfeng's body without any unusual occurrences.
As the water sphere changed, Fire Serpent pressed both palms against Lingfeng's back again. His whole body trembled uncontrollably as the surrounding red flames gradually intensified, eventually forming a red arched shell that obscured the situation inside from outsiders.
Azure Vine was anxious and didn't know what would happen, but at that moment, he couldn't rashly intervene; otherwise, not only would Lingfeng die from shattered meridians, but even Fire Serpent might suffer severe damage.
In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed. Lingfeng's bed had deformed and shrunk as if it had been burned by fire.
Just as Azure Vine and Water Demon were growing increasingly anxious, suddenly, cracks appeared on the red shell. From within came Fire Serpent's shout, "Heart!"
Then there was a loud explosion as the red shell burst apart, releasing a large amount of True Qi.
Azure Vine and Water Demon had already set up protective shields, but with the explosion of the red shell, their shields instantly vanished without a trace, countering the shockwave created by the explosion.
Fire Serpent slumped behind Lingfeng, feeling weak all over. His face was as pale as wax, and his lips were white. Looking at Lingfeng, his complexion had returned to normal; he sat with his head down on the bed, unconscious.
Azure Vine and Water Demon hurried to support Fire Serpent. Azure Vine asked, "How are you, Fire Serpent?"
Fire Serpent weakly waved his hand and said softly, "This child is fine now; it consumed a lot of my essence. It seems I need to rest for a while!"
Azure Vine turned and placed Lingfeng on the bed, then said to Fire Serpent, "Junior Brother, thank you so much. However, the Immortal Peach I just grabbed should help you recover your energy."
Fire Serpent was taken aback and chuckled shyly, "My Senior Brother, you haven't called me Junior Brother in all these years." It seemed like a hint of jealousy, but it was actually a recognition of this Senior Brother.
Water Demon handed the Immortal Peach and a century-old fine wine to Fire Serpent, smiling, "Seventh Junior Disciple, don't nitpick with the Senior Brother. After all these years, I haven't heard him call me Junior Sister either!"
Azure Vine smiled apologetically. With Lingfeng's injury improving, his own worries naturally eased.
After sending off Fire Serpent and Water Demon, Azure Vine sat by Lingfeng's bedside, looking at him with concern. Lingfeng's injuries were just starting to heal, and he was feeling a bit fatigued as he slept soundly.
Azure Vine picked up a towel and wiped the sweat from Lingfeng's forehead. Although Lingfeng had always called him Brother, at that moment, Azure Vine clearly resembled a loving father.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew in, accompanied by hurried footsteps approaching.
Azure Vine instinctively looked outside and saw it was Master Qing.
"How is Lingfeng?" Qing asked anxiously before even entering the room.
Azure Vine was not surprised; he knew Qing had a good impression of Lingfeng. Otherwise, he wouldn't have passed the Cultivation Notes to him. So he replied coolly, "He's fine now; the Immortal Peach inside has been resolved."
Qing let out a sigh of relief as if released from prison. He adjusted the crooked sword on his back and took out a white Porcelain Bottle from his Treasure Bag, handing it to Azure Vine.
Azure Vine was momentarily stunned and stammered, "This... what is this?"

Azure Vine was momentarily at a loss for words, unsure of what to say. Qing and Azure Vine had entered this sect one after the other and had grown up together like brothers. Back in his youth, Azure Vine, driven by competitiveness, had ventured alone into the Demon Cave. Unfortunately, his magical abilities were insufficient, and he was trapped by a Spider Spirit.
At that time, Azure Vine's life hung by a thread. The Spider Spirit decided to absorb Azure Vine's lifespan to enhance its own power. Although the Spider Spirit's lifespan would remain unaffected, absorbing the vitality of a young man would turn him into an old man with white hair.
To save Azure Vine and fearing reprimand from their master, Qing also ventured into the Demon Cave. However, despite having attained a certain level of magical prowess, the young Qing was still unable to subdue the Spider Spirit.
After rescuing Azure Vine, Qing was unexpectedly dragged into the cave by the Spider Spirit. The Spider Spirit frantically drained Qing's lifespan but was ultimately driven away by their arriving master. Although Qing was saved, he had already aged prematurely and his cultivation had significantly weakened.
"Junior Brother?" Seeing Azure Vine staring at him in a daze, Qing gently called out.
Snapping back to reality, Azure Vine looked at Qing and felt ashamed as he thought, "Brother should be as young as I am. If it weren't for me, he would have long since broken through to the Nascent Soul realm!" With that thought, Azure Vine couldn't help but shed a tear.

Azure Vine felt touched again and burst into laughter as he gently embraced Qing and called out, "Brother!"
