He had never been provoked and ignored like this before, and the figures of Freya and Baron kept swirling in his angry mind. 0

"That woman... and her father... I want to torment them over and over again... torment!!!" Unknowingly, Olyssis shouted out his thoughts loudly. 0

If Olyssis were on Earth, perhaps he could find out that his current mental state is medically referred to as 'mania.' 0

"Young Master... we are currently in Green Castle..." Seeing Olyssis's extremely abnormal behavior, the guard behind him quickly spoke up to calm him down. 0

"What does it matter even if we are in Green Castle?!!!" Perhaps the attempt to soothe him had the opposite effect, as Olyssis suddenly turned around, his red eyes glaring at his guard, the fury in his gaze nearly erupting. 0

"Even if Baron stands in front of me! Does he dare to kill me!???" He stretched out his arm forcefully, pointing into the distance. 0

His finger happened to land on a girl dressed in hunting attire who had just entered the corridor. 0

"...?" Freya, lost in thought, suddenly looked up, stunned by Olyssis's fierce expression and pointed finger. 0

Olyssis, still filled with anger, was also taken aback for a moment. 0

However, when he saw that familiar face, his anger instantly transformed into something tangible. 0

"Kill!" 0

With a fierce determination, he abruptly drew the long sword from his waist and lunged forward, seemingly intending to pierce the girl before him on the spot. 0

The cold gleam of the sword rushed toward her. 0

This sudden turn of events sent a jolt of fear through Freya; a strong sense of crisis surged within her. It felt as if something sharp had pierced her brow, cold and painful. 0

With no time to think further, she swiftly sidestepped with all her strength. 0

Clang! 0

The sound of metal clashing against stone echoed through the corridor. 0

“Bailey, come in.” A deep voice came from behind the door. 0

Howard Bailey responded and pushed open the door. 0

Baron was still seated, taking a light sip of his drink. The coolness of the mint invigorated him, and he looked up at the imposing man standing by the door, gesturing for him to take a seat beside him. 0

“You probably shouldn’t have outright rejected Berta’s acquisition. After all, they have some influence beyond just money,” Howard Bailey said as he sat down, frowning. 0

“Hmm… I know that doing so could lead to unnecessary risks, but it’s something I must refuse… Recently, I received news from an old friend in Candia. It seems Berta has purchased a large quantity of armor and heavy crossbows,” Baron did not directly respond to Howard Bailey’s words but stood up, narrowing his eyes as he thought about another matter. 0

“Hmm?” Howard Bailey’s eyes narrowed. “You mean, Berta thinks he has the strength to challenge Green Castle?” 0

“No, he doesn’t have that qualification yet… Those armors and weapons are likely for other purposes… Moreover, if Berta intends to do something against my Green Family, acquiring iron ore at this time…” Baron’s voice turned cold. “I wouldn’t mind letting him taste the pain of losing a child again.” 0

“Since you feel that way, I’ve been feeling restless lately too.” Hearing the hint of menace in Baron’s words, Howard Bailey smiled slightly, revealing his white teeth. 0

“By the way, I heard this afternoon that Olyssis was humiliated by Freya, apparently because of Eric…” 0

“…I know about that. Freya is almost fifteen now; it seems she’s reaching the age where she starts to grow up.” Mentioning Freya, a warm smile appeared on Baron’s cold face. “She really resembles her mother…” 0

“Do you still remember Winry? It’s been so many years. I still remember you two back then…” Howard Bailey chuckled, as if recalling something, but then his smile faded and both fell silent for a moment. 0

“Alright, enough of this. I’ll go check on Freya.” Baron clapped his hands and turned to leave the study. 0

“……” Howard Bailey silently watched Baron’s departing figure, sighed lightly, and downed the drink on the table. The cool bitterness of mint filled his taste buds, and the intense stimulation made his mind stop thinking about anything else. 0

…… 0

The heavy breathing could be clearly heard even by the four guards walking behind. 0

Olyssis walked silently with his head down, his red eyes reflecting hatred in the candlelight of the corridor. His face, which was not unattractive, now appeared exceptionally fierce due to the anger within him. The bulging veins on his forehead made the guards behind him worry that their young master might burst out in blood at any moment. 0

“Die…” A low and hoarse voice like a whisper erupted from his throat. Olyssis clenched his fists tightly; even when his nails pierced into his palms, he felt nothing. 0

“You all will die; you’re all going to die…” The voice gradually grew louder as Olyssis, unable to withstand one or two more provocations due to his poor mental state, was finally on the verge of exploding. 0

The longsword pierced the stone wall, and the strong recoil nearly caused Olyssis to lose grip on his weapon. However, seeing the girl dodging in a panic, a hint of ferocity flashed in his angry eyes, and without a second thought, he swung the sword at her again. 0

The four guards behind him suddenly snapped awake. Terrified by Olyssis's frightening provocation, they rushed forward, attempting to disarm him. 0

'Is this guy insane???' 0

Freya, pale-faced, watched as Olyssis swung at her once more. She quickly retreated to create distance and turned to flee. 0

'Even if I was humiliated before, it doesn't mean he would attack me here at Green Castle. Doesn't he fear that the Baron will kill him on the spot?' 0

Though she speculated about Olyssis's erratic behavior, when she sensed that the man in front of her genuinely wanted to kill her, the experience of facing death for the second time filled her with immense fear. This was a primal instinct rooted in human nature. 0

Freya realized that even though she could kill prey without emotion and had honed her swordsmanship to perfection, all she could do now was run... 0

After all, before her journey here, she was just an ordinary person. The fear that surged within her when faced with life-threatening danger compelled her to flee instinctively. 0

"Hahaha, run! Go ahead and run! Damn it! I'll make you understand the consequences of provoking me!!!" Olyssis, now completely deranged, paid no mind to the guards trying to stop him and focused solely on tearing apart the girl who had humiliated him. 0
