After leaving the study, Freya did not linger and directly took two Guard Members to the resting area designated for the maids, emphasizing the confidentiality of the matter to Eli. 0

Under slight intimidation, Eli was indeed scared enough to only nod in agreement. He was well aware of the terror that Baron instilled in the servants of the castle; even a simple act of theft could result in a death sentence, let alone such a significant military secret. 0

It was only after Eli was taken away and disappeared from sight that Freya returned to her bedroom. 0

She removed the tattered dress used for disguise, quickly washed up, and changed into casual clothes. Feeling refreshed, Freya sat down at her desk. 0

Although her Cross Sword had not yet reached the point of being discarded, she had high standards for her weapons and decided to exchange it for a new one from the armory. 0

As she touched her chest, she felt a warm current that had not faded after the battle; instead, it seemed to be on the verge of breaking through. A faint energy flowed through her chest and spread throughout her limbs and body. 0

Freya vaguely sensed that her body was undergoing a marvelous transformation. It seemed that the warm current was gradually awakening her physical attributes, with Agility being particularly prominent. Even simple movements now created a rush of wind, a natural reaction as she had yet to adapt to her own changes. 0

"Did this battle actually force my potential out?" Freya thought with delight as she felt the changes within herself. 0

However, upon reflection, this was an inevitable outcome. She had been on the verge of a breakthrough; even without this battle, she would have likely achieved it in the coming days. This encounter merely accelerated the process. 0

Once she broke through to Knight Level, her physical attributes would significantly increase, transcending the ordinary and reaching a new level. 0

If Freya were to face those soldiers now, merely suppressing their physical abilities would allow her to easily defeat them all. This is the difference between Knight Level and ordinary warriors; sheer numbers hold little power against such strong individuals. Only those with comparable strength could stand a chance against her. 0

She lightly swung her new Cross Sword, and the silver blade flashed in her hand. An instant later, a corner of a nearby chair vanished. With another quick motion, a bug fluttering by the window fell to the ground—she had just severed one of its wings. 0

Looking at her effortless strike, Freya nodded in satisfaction. 0

At this moment, the sky had completely darkened, and the black castle was illuminated by torches along the main road. 0

Just as Freya was immersed in her recent breakthrough, a large group of cavalry guards swiftly exited the castle gates, indicating that something urgent had occurred. 0

From a window below Freya's bedroom, a large black bird suddenly flew out, moving at great speed. 0

She vaguely saw that there was a rolled-up parchment tied to the bird's leg and a circular object wrapped in cloth. 0

"It seems the message has already been sent," Freya said, narrowing her eyes until the bird blended into the night and she withdrew her gaze. "Now, it all depends on my father's decision..." 0

After all, if war were to break out, Green Territory would undoubtedly become a battlefield for both armies, which would be the greatest blow to the Green Family that had been cultivated over many years. 0

If Freya were to sit in the Baron's position and consider the situation, it would be best to strike first while the enemy was still hidden. 0

Due to the forest's obstruction, Saladin's forces would likely be few; even with Berta's support, they wouldn't make much of an impact. At most, they could be considered an advance party, serving as cannon fodder. 0

However, such decisions were not within the Baron's purview; what mattered next was the response from the empire's envoy. 0

Freya's disappearance and Eli's house arrest in the castle had not caused much of a stir. Only Mary and her brother Eric had inquired once, but Freya managed to brush them off with a fabricated excuse. 0

After this incident, the Baron did not mention going to Kent City again. Upon returning to the castle, Freya spent over ten days refining her swordsmanship and adapting to her current body while stimulating her senses. 0

Her goal was to quickly adapt to her Knight Level strength. 0

That night in the Iron Mine Area, soldiers led by Howard Bailey launched a raid against Berta, but they only encountered symbolic resistance. Berta and his family seemed to have shrunk back into their territory, afraid to venture out, and everything was quiet, as if something was brewing beneath the surface. 0

Fifteen days later... 0

Freya, dressed in a pale yellow gown, sat quietly on a high platform inside the castle, holding a thick book and reading it carefully. 0

This book appeared to be a popular work of this world, written by an unnamed Bard. The content was quite mixed but felt very real. Most of it detailed the author's travels and observations, with the most captivating stories revolving around the legends of wizards, which intrigued Freya greatly. 0

She knew that besides humans, there were many intelligent races in this world, but she was completely ignorant about extraordinary powers. Those other beings were merely creatures like humans. 0

No one had truly seen a wizard; at least not in the places she knew of. Any mention of them was merely rumor. 0

The backwardness of civilization greatly limited the sources and transmission of information. She could only seek clues through some books. It was said that in the northern countries, there often appeared humans called Mystics, most of whom possessed inhuman powers. However, descriptions of these special individuals were vague, making it impossible for her to form a judgment based solely on words. 0

Moreover, this world was much larger than Earth. The living space and origins of humans were just a part of it. In some unknown places—whether high mountains or vast seas—strange things would always appear, some of which were mentioned in human literature while others were commonly seen. 0

Freya remained curious and interested in wizards. 0

Gently closing the book, Freya stood up from the platform. The distant wind brushed through her hair, creating a pleasant sensation. 0

In the distance, she could faintly hear a rumbling sound. 0

Narrowing her eyes slightly, she noticed that since entering Knight Level, her vision seemed to have improved. In her line of sight, a thick cloud of dust rose along the road leading to the castle. Vaguely, she could see rows of cavalry approaching majestically. 0

Looking at the length of the line, there were no fewer than two thousand people. 0

At the forefront was a black-haired man in his thirties, not particularly handsome but quite imposing. His hair was wildly tousled by the wind, and his well-proportioned body looked extraordinary in golden armor, indicating that he was the leader of this troop. 0

At the entrance of the castle, Baron and the already returned Howard Bailey stood in a row, greeting the army from the Empire with solemn ceremony. 0

In front of the army were two large flags, one depicting an axe and the other a Cross Sword crossed over each other, beneath which was a cluster of blood-red thorn flowers. Freya knew that this was the symbol of the Byron Empire. 0

"The Imperial troops have finally arrived!" 0

Freya squinted slightly; the arrival of the army signified the beginning of certain events, which was a matter of uncertain consequence. 0

The people within the territory must have also seen the army's arrival, and military secrets would surely be leaked once announced. As for how they would think and decide, it was no longer something Baron could control. 0

Soon, the army reached the castle entrance. The black-haired man skillfully dismounted and walked forward, smiling as he embraced both Baron and Howard Bailey, indicating that they seemed to be familiar with each other. 0

After exchanging a few words at the castle gate, Baron pointed towards her standing on a high platform inside the castle. 0

The black-haired man smiled and looked in the direction Baron indicated. Upon seeing Freya holding a book on the high platform, he paused for a moment before smiling widely and waving his hand as a greeting. 0

The distance was too far for clarity; it sounded like he said something similar to "hello." However, Freya responded with a smile and nodded in acknowledgment. 0

"It seems to be an old acquaintance of my father," she speculated internally as she jumped down from the high platform and walked towards Baron and the others. 0

The two-thousand-strong army did not all head directly into the castle; they would have a designated campsite, likely not too far from the castle. After all, once the battle began, Green Castle would become the base and logistics point for the imperial forces. 0

Soon, Freya arrived at the castle gate and stood alongside Baron. The troops in front of them had already begun to depart, leaving only a black-haired man and two seemingly formidable soldiers. 0

"This is Count Philip," Baron said with a smile, holding her hand to introduce the man. "This is my third daughter, Freya." 0

"Count?" Freya glanced at the obviously under-forty black-haired man, surprised to find he was a count. 0

"I greet you, Count Philip," she said, lifting her long skirt and slightly curtsying without further thought. 0

"What count? You are too polite, my lady," Philip said as he stepped forward to assist Freya in her greeting. He smiled and continued, "If it weren't for you saving me back then, I might have long been buried in the wilderness. If you and Brother Bailey had followed me back to the capital at that time, how could I possibly be limited to such a rural place?" 0

"Haha, I didn't expect that so many years have passed and you still remember this matter," Baron chuckled. "Back then, I was tired of the intrigues within the military and didn't want to go to the capital with you. Besides, this is the root of my Green Family; how could I abandon it?" 0

"I share the same sentiment as Andrei; I also don't want to live a life filled with scheming," Howard Bailey interjected. 0

"Sigh..." Philip sighed. 0
