On the other side, Freya also collapsed after exhausting her strength.
She lay there as if pulled out of water.
The fierce battle had been deliberately chosen to take place far from the ballroom, so no one noticed anything unusual.
"Cough, cough!"
After a long while, Freya, regaining some strength, propped herself up with her sword.
She looked down at Philip, whose face was disfigured and eyes wide open, and there was no victorious smile on her face, only a hint of determination in her eyes.
She walked around the body and slowly approached Eric, checking his breath. Freya let out a slight sigh of relief.
"Fortunately... he just fainted."
She pinched his philtrum and gently patted his face. With a soft sound, Eric woke up.
He looked around in confusion, but when he saw the figure in front of him, his hazy eyes instantly cleared.
"Sister... how did I end up here? Wasn't I supposed to go to Father..."
"You were kidnapped by Olyssis!" Supporting Eric, Freya said in a low voice, "But it's all over now!"
"Huh?" Eric looked at his sister in confusion, not understanding what she meant.
Without further explanation, she touched Eric's forehead and said seriously, "Now you quickly go to Father and tell him that the ball is a conspiracy. Saladin's people will attack tonight. Hurry and prepare to escape!"
Feeling the cold hand on his forehead, Eric gradually understood the seriousness of the situation. Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly turned around and asked Freya.
"Then sister, why are you still here?"
"I still have some things to do! I will catch up with you soon!" Freya said earnestly to her only brother with a smile.
"...Alright! Then hurry up." After a slight hesitation, Eric understood Freya's determination and left as quickly as possible.
"Mm!" Nodding her head, Freya watched Eric disappear before she pressed her hand against her abdomen, her face slightly pale.
"It seems I need to rest for a while." Frowning, she felt the cramping pain inside her; she understood that something inside must have ruptured. Injuries of this extent were manageable in battle, but encountering a strong opponent would definitely be problematic.
However, leaving behind a Knight-Level Expert at this level was quite a gain!
After pausing for a moment and feeling the pain in her abdomen ease slightly, she walked over to the distant Damsdin.
This strong man was currently smiling weakly at the girl in front of him, his face pale. His injuries were heavier than Freya's; surviving with Squire-level strength against a Knight-level opponent was already remarkable.
However, it was hard to believe that the sister who always appeared cheerful and carefree was actually a hidden knight-level powerhouse, which filled him with a sense of pride.
"Can you still get up?" Freya asked softly.
"Yes!" Damsdin moved his body slightly, and suddenly a sharp pain surged from within him. The intense agony made his already pale face even whiter, but through gritted teeth, he managed to stand up.
Seeing Damsdin rise, Freya immediately went to support him.
The man, who seemed quite heavy, was surprisingly easy for her to assist, creating a strong sense of incongruity.
"Let's go, sister," Damsdin said apologetically to her.
"Okay!" Freya nodded slightly as she glanced at the three corpses lying at the end of the corridor.
It was important to note that she still remembered the words Damsdin had shouted in his final moments; his loyalty was evident.
The two moved at a staggered pace but were not slow. As they passed Philip's corpse, Freya's eyes lit up, and she suddenly stopped, bending down.
"As a count, he must have something valuable on him."
She carefully searched the body covered in sword marks and found a delicate coin pouch, though it was now tattered and full of cuts.
Ignoring the sticky blood on it, she opened it directly.
Inside were several coins with fine notches and two broken emeralds. At the very bottom of the pouch was a small box about the length of a finger, which was surprisingly intact.
"...?" Freya opened it with curiosity.
An Ice Blue Crystal Earring lay quietly on top, a faint cold light shimmering from the earrings.
Without examining the scene closely, she stuffed them all into her bosom. Just a few steps later, outside the corridor window, the originally dark sky suddenly lit up with a red flame shooting up, followed by a loud explosion.
It seemed to be the signal for the start, as hundreds of fireworks simultaneously soared into the air, painting the entire castle in shades of blue, red, and green.
"What is this..." Damsdin stared blankly at the dazzling fireworks outside.
Amidst it all, the sounds of swords being drawn and shouts of battle could be faintly heard.
"We need to go!"
Calmly observing the fireworks outside, Freya collected her thoughts and whispered.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the corridor where the two had just left, the once lively ball had turned into a battlefield. As the fireworks rose, a large number of imperial soldiers suddenly surged in, quickly overpowering all key members of Green Castle present.
Several officers clad in Gorgeous Armor slowly walked onto the high platform of the ball, satisfied with their results when suddenly the doors that had swung open slammed shut.
"Kill them!!"
A fierce voice rang out as rows of Guards Members wearing Half Armor adorned with the Green Family Crest appeared outside the imperial soldiers and silently charged into the ball.
In this group of guards, a burly man clad in black heavy armor charged into the battlefield with a fierce grin, wielding a massive sword that resembled a door plank, capable of taking down one enemy with each swing.
"Traitor! You must die!" The violent roar erupted from Howard Bailey's mouth.
His already tall frame seemed to grow even taller, nearly reaching three meters in height, and his exposed skin turned a dark shade. Several imperial soldiers attempted to ambush him, striking him with their longswords, only to find that they could not break through his defenses!
"Kill!!!" With a powerful swing of his giant sword, everything around him, including buildings, was shattered into pieces.
"Howard Bailey! I have come to challenge you!" Suddenly, a tall and slender figure appeared before the giant Howard Bailey, accompanied by an arrogant voice.
"...Kaidy? Why are you here?!" Upon seeing the figure, the imposing Howard Bailey suddenly froze, disbelief filling his eyes.
"My former brother, have you also become a traitor???"
"This is our destiny! No more words!" The tall man seemed unwilling to dwell on the past as he drew the longsword from his waist, a surge of energy erupting from him as his speed increased dramatically.
