The two were whispering and laughing at the door, and then Sophia blushed and gently kissed Thomas on the forehead. 0

Freya's lips twitched slightly, deciding not to watch the affectionate couple any longer. 0

She planned to walk past them directly. 0

Just as she was about to pass by, Thomas, who had been talking to Sophia, shifted his expression and frowned slightly as he watched Freya's departing figure. 0

"What are you looking at?" Sophia immediately shouted in displeasure at Thomas's gaze. 0

"Uh... it's nothing. What can I look at? You're the only one in my eyes," Thomas quickly snapped back with a smile upon hearing his girlfriend's shout. 0

"Hmph! That's more like it!" 0

Seeing Sophia calm down, Thomas thought for a moment and said seriously, "By the way, you're friends with Freya, right? When you see her next time, tell her to be careful lately..." 0

"Huh? Careful about what?" Sophia asked curiously, noticing Thomas's serious demeanor. "What's going on with Freya recently?" 0

"You don't need to worry about that. Just tell her, but don't make it my business..." Thomas waved his hand immediately, seeming unwilling to elaborate. 0

"...Alright, I'll tell her tomorrow in class." 0

Although she didn't understand the meaning behind Thomas's words, she trusted her boyfriend enough not to dig deeper into it. 0

... 0

After leaving the Swordsmanship Room, Freya did not return to the dormitory but went straight to the cafeteria. After having lunch, she headed directly to the library. 0

The aftereffects of the energy sensation had reached the final clearing stage; in just a couple of days, she would be able to eliminate that occasional restlessness. This made her mood increasingly better lately. 0

Moreover, based on her performance over the past six months, the teachers at the academy have recently given her subtle hints, suggesting that she has a chance to compete for a spot at Rudin Imperial Academy. 0

Things seem to be progressing in the direction she had anticipated. 0

"If I can successfully obtain the qualification, it might greatly help my father. But... I wonder how he is doing now?" she sighed as she walked toward the library. 0

Although she secretly yearned for the wizards of Transcendence, the only person she knew who understood these matters was Hegel. However, that old man had not mentioned anything about wizards in the past six months, aside from treating her; he seemed very devoted to his philosophy of Equivalent Exchange. 0

This forced her to place her hopes on Imperial Capital Academy. 0

After all, according to the historical records she had researched, there seemed to be some traces of wizards among the upper echelons of Rudin. 0

The black-themed Elgreen Library stood quietly there, with its door always slightly ajar. 0

At the back of the library was a brown wooden door. 0

Having grown familiar with the place over six months, she did not knock but walked straight in. 0

Inside the room, Hegel was sitting on a sofa, writing something on a round table with a white Feather Pen. Next to him lay a book with a red cover, face down, so she could not see its title. 0

Across from him was a white cup filled with Black Liquid that emitted faint steam, seemingly just poured not long ago. 0

Perhaps sensing someone had entered, Hegel glanced up slightly and then smiled. Without speaking, he pointed with his free hand to the empty sofa beside him before returning to his writing. 0

Freya gently pulled over the sofa and sat down quietly, knowing that the old man had a habit of writing and did not want to disturb him. 0

She skillfully picked up the cup in front of her and took a light sip. The slightly bitter taste made her tongue tingle, and it felt as though the sensation in her chest slowed down after drinking this liquid. After a while, it gradually returned to an active state. 0

Although this feeling had persisted for six months, she still found it hard to adapt. 0

She slightly furrowed her brows and finished the remaining drink in one gulp. Sitting upright on the sofa, she watched Hegel write while quietly waiting for this feeling within herself to dissipate. 0

After an unknown amount of time, the sensation in her chest that felt frozen slowly began to return to normal. Hegel, who had been writing, put away the Feather Pen, gently blew on the still wet ink stains, and then placed it on the shelf below. 0

"The aftereffects you have should be almost gone now. Our 'exchange' ends here," Hegel said, looking at the girl across from him with an appreciative gaze. 0

Although he had anticipated her abilities, he was still surprised that she had managed to read all the books in the library in just five months. Moreover, it was not mere rote memorization; her extraordinary intelligence left him in awe. 0

"Thanks to your help," she nodded lightly, casting a respectful glance at Hegel. 0

Half a year of interaction had made her realize that the elderly man before her was not only a librarian but also a true Erudite. Compared to all the books in the library, the knowledge in his mind reached an astonishing level, which indirectly broadened her horizons significantly. 0

Though unspoken, their current way of interacting had subtly taken on a teacher-student dynamic. 0

Without saying anything, Hegel gazed into the eyes of this girl who moved him deeply, seemingly lost in thought. 0

After a long while, he gently tapped the table and suddenly spoke. 0

"Freya, do you want to understand the truth of this world?" 0

"Yes!" 0

This seemingly abrupt question caught Freya off guard, and her response came out as if it hadn't been thought through at all. 0

Realizing her strange reaction, Freya lightly touched her mouth. It seemed that as soon as the old man asked his question, her inner thoughts had spilled out uncontrollably, causing her to frown slightly. 0

Ignoring Freya's confusion, Hegel smiled and narrowed his eyes slightly before continuing. 0

"Those who come to Dragon Academy can be divided into three types: one type seeks to gild themselves with gold coins; another genuinely strives to learn knowledge for their future; and the last type aims to gain admission to Rudin Imperial Academy. You belong to the third type, don't you?" 0

The old man's question did not provoke the unusual reaction she had shown earlier, but she still instinctively nodded. 0

Today, Hegel could vaguely see something different in Freya's eyes, something that seemed to relate to the path she would take in the future. 0

"Then, if... I mean, if I were to offer you a better opportunity at an academy, one that would allow you to gradually understand the truths of the world, which one would you choose?" 0

"The academy of world truths?" 0

She furrowed her brows as she looked at the old man before her, seemingly trying to discern a hint of jest in his aged face. However, when she saw the seriousness in his eyes, something stirred within her, and she revealed an expression of disbelief. 0

"You are... a wizard...?" 0

"Exactly!" Hegel nodded in satisfaction at Freya's reaction. 0

"But from what I understand, wizards in Transcendence seem to be associated with the Noble Academy?" 0

Though she was deeply shocked, she still rationally voiced her doubts. 0

"Noble... that was a long time ago. As far as I know, there are no more than ten wizards on this entire continent, and each one is in seclusion. Unless they reveal their identity directly, you would never know. The information you have might just be old news from hundreds of years ago." 0
