The enormous Hound's Maw swallowed Lani, who had just formed an energy shield.
Feeling the sudden dissipating aura behind her, Freya was drenched in cold sweat. Without turning around, she knew that Lani had met with misfortune.
"Lani! Lani! Benifen!" Rand's roar suddenly came from ahead as he ran.
At this moment, he actually gave up on escaping, turning around with bloodshot eyes and pulling out two black Test Tubes from his waist, running towards them.
'Puff' 'Puff'
The two Test Tubes exploded in his hands, and the jelly-like liquid was directly caught in his palms and hurled fiercely at the Two-Headed Hound.
A violent crackling sound mixed with hissing cold air followed.
The two blobs of liquid quickly inflated and transformed into two giant wolves with icy blue fur, fearlessly pouncing towards the Two-Headed Hound.
After summoning the two Ice Blue Giant Wolves, Rand's hair instantly turned pure white, and his body rapidly shrank. The hands that had held the liquid both shattered.
'Bang!'
His weakened body could no longer support his weight and collapsed to the ground, but his eyes remained fixed on the three beasts tearing at each other.
The giant wolves that Rand risked his life to summon were indeed powerful; although they could not defeat the Abyssal Cerberus, they managed to block its pursuit.
The intense sense of danger behind them gradually faded, but Freya still dared not linger.
Rand on the ground seemed to be on the verge of death, yet his eyes were frighteningly red, filled with deep hatred and despair. However, when he saw Freya rushing over, his eyes lit up and he shouted loudly at her.
"Freya! Hurry! Throw this thing into that monster's mouth! Please! I swear by my name as the eldest grandson of the Benifen Family! If you help me now, I will give you the best resources when we return to the academy!"
Rand's voice was filled with intense longing, and his revealed identity caused Freya, who was running, to pause slightly. In the distance, Rand's two friends had already vanished outside the Stone Forest by some unknown means.
If Freya chose to abandon him now, both Rand and Lani, who was unaware of her fate in the Hound's Maw, would surely die.
“…”
As Freya ran, she watched Rand pull a peculiar Sphere from his pocket, his face displaying a desperate plea that almost brought him to tears.
Although this man had been kept in the dark throughout, if it weren't for him, Freya wouldn't have been drawn into their family affairs or faced such perilous danger now.
Furrowing her brow slightly, Freya coldly observed everything about Rand. As she passed him, she suddenly reached out and took the Sphere from his hand, turning around to run toward the Two-Headed Hound!
In her line of sight, three giant beasts were already in a heated state. Despite the Two-Headed Hound facing two opponents, it remained ferociously aggressive. One head of the Hound's Maw seemed to be struggling to chew something, while the other spewed scorching flames and viciously clawed at the giant wolf.
The towering brown Stone Forest around them was being transformed into frost and magma due to their battle.
Freya's sprinting figure appeared as small as a baby beside them; one misstep could lead to serious injury.
Dodging the splattering frost and flames around her, Freya was drenched in cold sweat as she searched for an opportunity.
In this seemingly high-wire act of danger, her senses were heightened to the maximum, and her mind was more focused than ever before.
Had it not been for Rand's sibling identity being unexpected for her, she would never have chosen to take such a risk.
If both of them died here and were discovered by the Benifin Family, although it had nothing to do with Freya, she would certainly face interrogation from them. The secret involved a traitor among elite apprentices and an unknown Resource Point.
It should be noted that the Benifin Family was one of the main supporting families of Elgreen Academy. With her background being nothing significant, quietly dealing with an apprentice who knew secrets would not be difficult for them at all.
However, if she managed to save both of them against all odds, based on Freya's slight understanding of Rand, there might not only be no danger but also substantial rewards.
Fully aware of the pros and cons, Freya disregarded her own safety and fought desperately.
Moreover, and more importantly, the Ice Blue Giant Wolf summoned by Rand could indeed serve as a barrier; this was the only advantage she could leverage.

One of the heads of the Two-Headed Hound let out a roar similar to that of a Lion, seemingly provoked by the two opposing giant wolves. Its massive jaws opened wide, and a stream of bright yellow liquid flame suddenly erupted.
The magma-like flames spread out in a fan shape towards the two giant wolves.
Freya, who had been dodging all this time, felt a sudden darkness above her head as a wave of heat surged from above. The magical patterns on her Leather Armor, which had been radiating cold air, instantly collapsed under this heat wave.
A sense of deadly crisis emerged in her heart.
“Soraka!”
With no time to react, she shouted the activation incantation while unleashing all her energy.
A fresh scent surrounded her nostrils as Ice Blue Light rapidly enveloped Freya, centered around her Earrings. She felt as if she had returned to her peak condition, and this sensation continued to grow slowly.
Her energy condensed to its utmost, transforming into silver ribbons that danced around her.
Having been on the brink of becoming a Great Knight, she once again used the Ice Blue Earrings to amplify herself to this level. Compared to her past self, this amplification brought her a unique clarity.
It seemed that the Ice Blue Earrings were enhancing not only her physical strength but also her mental acuity.
Under the azure light resembling ocean water, Freya's previously panicked expression was now exceptionally calm, as if the rapidly descending magma was no longer something to fear.
“Wind…” she whispered softly.
At the call of Freya, the silver ribbons that surrounded her unconsciously twisted and transformed into two enormous Tassels attached to her back, resembling silver wings.
Boom!
The thick layer of magma finally crashed down, and an Ice Blue Giant Wolf was caught off guard, wrapped inside and quickly burned to ashes.
The other wolf had its front leg scorched and broken due to the impact, but since this giant wolf was an Elemental Creature, it had no emotions other than obeying its Summoner. After narrowly escaping disaster, it bravely lunged once more at the Two-Headed Hound.
Huff...
Like a gentle breeze, Freya appeared standing on a high rock, the two massive silver Tassels gently swaying behind her. She looked down at the two beasts tearing at each other; in her view, she could clearly see the ice shards and flames splashing as the Two-Headed Hound clawed at the giant wolf, along with the faint circular shield that flickered in one of its mouths.
Not far away, Rand had already lost consciousness.
Freya blinked; this was her second time using the Earrings, yet she hadn't expected such a transformation.
"Is this what it means for the body to be developed to its limits, the ultimate form of perception? It seems I need to investigate the origin of these Earrings." (To be continued)
