Azure Sky, with not a single white cloud, is clean and clear.
In the sky, a gigantic and strange Bird is flying alone, its wings occasionally flapping to maintain stability.
The Bird is covered in black feathers, with only its head and tail being bright white. Its orange-yellow eyes have a sharp quality to them. From its appearance, it resembles the Bald Sea Eagle from a past life, but it is many times larger.
The rushing wind whistles lightly as it passes through the giant bird's wings.
On the back of the giant bird lies a figure dressed in a Gray Robe, golden hair flowing out from beneath the hood that has been blown open by the wind above.
Freya grips the feathers of the giant bird with both hands, burying her head against its back to minimize the force of the wind. Although it is a sunny day, the strong winds still make her feel a biting cold.
Peeking out slightly, she watches as the small details below slowly move.
In the distance, there is Katia City with a somewhat grayish-white hue, yellow narrow roads, patches of green fields, and some black dots that are people moving slowly. All these things appear extremely delicate in Freya's eyes from her vantage point in the sky.
As the giant bird continues to fly, the area of Katia City gradually disappears from view, followed by vast stretches of dark green forests.
The strong wind stings her eyes, and after a moment of watching, she withdraws her gaze.
Quietly feeling the intense fluctuations of the wind, Freya suddenly leans forward and calls out loudly.
"Lys! How much longer until we arrive!?"
"Lady Freya, at our current speed, we will arrive in twelve minutes," replies the giant bird softly as it turns its head. The voice is sweet and feminine.
"Oh! I understand!" With this response, Freya silently lowers her head again.
The giant bird she was riding was a non-human intelligent creature known as the Quikto Sea Eagle, from a large Wizarding Organization called Swiftwind that specialized in transportation.
It was similar to a taxi company from her previous life.
The one sent by Frang Sith to pick her up was a female Sea Eagle named Lys.
Soon, after more than ten minutes, the Sea Eagle's rapid flight began to slow down.
Freya, lying on its back, could clearly feel that they were descending slowly.
"Lady Freya, hold on tight; we are about to land," Lys's voice prompted Freya to grip the feathers tightly and press herself against its back. She wanted to avoid any issues. Although she had flown on planes in her past life, this was her first time riding a bird in this life. Despite the smooth flight, she couldn't help but feel nervous deep down.
After all, throughout history, while humans have yearned for the sky, they have also harbored fears of it.
"Hoo…"
The sound of powerful wing flaps echoed in her ears. Even with her eyes closed, Freya could distinctly feel Lys using its wings to ease their descent.
After a while, with two dull thuds, Lys gracefully folded its wings back.
Freya opened her eyes and looked up, realizing that they were now in a vast circular clearing. In the clearing, Sea Eagles were taking off and landing intermittently. Not far from the clearing stood rows of signs as tall as a person's head, each engraved with different Sea Eagle portraits. Some portraits were red, while others were green.
Below the signs was a group of figures dressed in robes of various colors, seemingly selecting their own Sea Eagles.
After watching for a while, Freya got off the Sea Eagle and eased her somewhat stiff limbs.
"Lady Freya, Lord Sis has already prepaid your travel expenses. If you need to leave here, please notify me half an hour in advance, and I will be waiting for you," Lys gently reminded as Freya dismounted.
"Okay, I understand," Freya nodded and turned to walk toward the only exit of the open space.
Although it was not far from Katia City, this area was the most densely populated zone of the Wizard Organization.
Ordinary people could not reach this place unless they had the identity of a wizard. Even those who accidentally wandered in would be unable to see what was happening inside due to the illusion Magic Circle set up outside.
The Eye of Truth belonging to Lord Sith was located not far from this area.
As Freya stepped out of Swiftwind's open space, more people began to appear outside. Some oddly shaped low buildings towered among them, and the sounds of vendors calling out filled the air, resembling a bustling market.
Most of these individuals were dressed in robe-like attire, but there were also some in armor and skirts. However, regardless of their appearance, under Freya's perception, none of these people were ordinary; the lowest among them had at least the strength of a first-tier apprentice.
Freya curiously observed this scene that was different from the academy; it was her first encounter with a place related to wizards outside of Elgreen Academy, and everything seemed novel to her.
She even spotted a bunch of winged Lizards locked in a cage inside a pointed-roof building, tiny sparks shooting from their mouths like dragons from Western legends.
Next to that pointed-roof building was a wooden sign for Belinta Magical Pet Shop, where an old man wearing a pointed hat was energetically calling out to customers.
"Don't look too long; those dazzling Lizards are basically impossible to tame after they hatch from their eggs unless you destroy their brains and implant your own runes, using them as ordinary tools. By the way, Freya, it's been so long since we last met, yet you haven't changed at all!"
A sudden voice came from Freya's left. She turned around to see a middle-aged man with an unfamiliar face smiling at her.
The middle-aged man was dressed in a dark green robe, holding a long black magic circle in his hand, while a gray swift perched on his shoulder.
Freya frowned slightly as she looked at the middle-aged man, sensing a hint of familiarity in his appearance.
"Are you Franc Sith?" she asked, filled with curiosity.
"Hehe, of course it's me, who else would it be?" the middle-aged man opened his arms and smiled.
"But how come your appearance is..."
Although she still remembered Franc Sith's appearance from the ship, the man before her seemed completely different.
"This?" Franc Sith touched the sparse stubble at the corner of his mouth, looking somewhat awkward. "I was still looking like I was sixteen or seventeen half a month ago. Do you believe that? Anyway, this is also one of the reasons I came to find you. Let's talk about it on the way."
"Alright." Seeing Franc Sith's expression, Freya could only nod in agreement.
Not far from him, a white carriage was parked there, with a large black-and-white eye printed on its side. As the two approached, the eye suddenly turned towards them, which was quite eerie. (To be continued)
