Hearing about the characteristics of this creature from Freya, both Fran and Sith frowned slightly, clearly learning about this creature for the first time.
"Now that we've captured it, what should we do? Should we kill it? This is the first time I've seen such a subterranean creature; it's completely different from what I'm used to," Fran said, showing an interested expression, obviously wanting to study it.
"Heh heh, if you don't want your laboratory to be contaminated by Negative Energy, you could dissect it. Of course, the best option would be to find a remote place and release it," Freya replied with a smile.
"Oh, then forget it. What a pity." He then turned to the young man beside him and instructed, "Drew, you handle this matter."
"Yes, Professor. I will follow your wishes," the young man named Drew replied respectfully.
"Since we've overcome this major challenge, Freya, I will not go back on my promise. What do you need? As long as it's within my capability," Fran said with a slight smile.
"What do I want?" Freya raised an eyebrow at Fran's middle-aged face.
Regarding materials, she already knew that this area was resource-poor. The Eye of Truth had just been established and would certainly require a large amount of resources. As for knowledge, Fran and others had demonstrated that they might not be as knowledgeable as she was.
In fact, Fran didn't have much to offer her.
However, after thinking for a moment, Freya suddenly said to Fran, "Can I borrow some materials on advancing to a wizard from your family?"
"Advancement materials?" Fran frowned slightly. "Is that all? Haven't you seen any in your academy?"
"I was just promoted to Third-Rank Apprentice not long ago and was reassigned. My previous rank did not qualify me to read those materials," Freya replied.
"I see," Fran said in realization. "But most methods of wizard advancement are quite similar; it's not anything particularly confidential. So, besides this, do you need anything else?"
"Well... let's leave that for later," Freya said without being foolish enough to close off her options; after all, no one knew if there would be something useful later on.
"Alright then. Let's go to my family's library now. Besides the advancement materials you need, there are also some Spell Models and other resources that you might find interesting," Fran offered generously.
It seemed that resolving this issue had indeed helped out significantly for Freya.
"Then I won't hold back." Freya smiled.

After a while.
Inside the Eye of Truth.
In a narrow room formed by trees, Freya was standing next to a bookshelf, quietly flipping through a black-covered book.
The trees emitted a faint bitter scent that lingered at her nose, seemingly having a mildly refreshing effect.
After some time, Freya frowned slightly as she closed the book and placed it back on the shelf.
Through her reading, she had gained a general understanding of the pathway for a Third-Rank Apprentice to advance to an Official Wizard.
First: A certain level of mental strength is required. Second: Preparation of the Promotion Array. Third: A Spell that must be inscribed in one's mind, most compatible with oneself.
These are the three main requirements for advancing to an Official Wizard.
The mental strength part was manageable; as long as she returned to the academy, she could obtain resources to improve through the Energy Gathering Array. The Empowerment Spell could also be purchased in the academy's Trading Area. However, the Promotion Array was another matter entirely.
Each wizard's Promotion Array is unique, relating to their own method of casting Spells. If someone were to decipher a wizard's Promotion Array, that wizard would be defenseless in front of that person; any Spell they attempted to cast would have vulnerabilities that could be exploited instantly. The Promotion Array symbolizes a wizard's future fate.
"The Promotion Array... Florn Sith has an original version here for me to observe, but truly possessing my own unique array is not something that can be accomplished overnight. Moreover, there are precious resources needed for crafting the array. Just obtaining the Billco Core and Nightmare Sand required for drawing the array is beyond my current means."
Freya seemed to have guessed why there were so few Official Wizards.
In addition to the pitifully low advancement rate, part of it was due to the difficulty in drawing the Promotion Array, which kept most Third-Rank Apprentices at bay.
Although Freya had accumulated knowledge to a scholarly level compared to most people, she still felt it was insufficient. If she only wanted to be an ordinary wizard, using the most basic Promotion Array would suffice, but that would mean cutting off her future path—a fate no one, including Freya, desired.
'Forget it; it's too early to think about these things now. What I can do for now is to raise my mental strength or find resources for drawing the array before considering anything else.' Determined, Freya scanned the library of the Florn Sith family; aside from this advancement material being useful to her, everything else was not particularly important.
Several Spell Models among them were just low-level versions available at the academy, worth only five or six Magic Stones each.
This is the difference between a large organization and a family.
Shaking her head lightly, Freya walked out of the library.
The entrance to the library was also a large Banyan Tree. As soon as Freya approached, she felt a slight energy response from the Banyan Tree, indicating that it had directly closed the entrance.
While the contents inside were not particularly precious to her, they held significant meaning for ordinary people.
Franz Sith was lazily lying on a bench not far from the Banyan Tree, squinting his eyes as if he was about to fall asleep.
However, upon seeing Freya come out, he immediately perked up and sat up straight on the bench.
"You're out so soon? Did you find the information you needed?"
"I did, but it seems that advancing to Official Wizard is much more difficult than I imagined," Freya replied calmly.
"Of course! When I advanced, if it weren't for the precious resources my family left over from their former glory, I wouldn't even know where to start," Franz Sith nodded in agreement. "Moreover, I used the family heirloom Promotion Array, which has a much higher success rate than what I could research on my own." (To be continued)
