"Damn it!" 0

Hearing the sounds behind the stone, Freya felt a chill run down her spine. 0

Although these creatures were not very intelligent, their bodies had been developed into the most suitable forms for combat. It seemed they had their own methods of adapting to the environment, and combined with their terrifying growth abilities, once released, they would surely cause disaster in this area populated by ordinary people. 0

"Hiss..." 0

The sound of corrosion grew closer. Freya quickly turned and continued running toward the exit. 0

"No creature can be perfect; this group must have some serious flaws! I need to find a way!" 0

The dark passage was not very long, and with her full-speed sprinting, a small point of light appeared in her line of sight from the depths of darkness. 0

Seeing the light of the exit, Freya's expression relaxed slightly. 0

However, the chaotic footsteps of the creatures behind her continued to follow closely, crackling like raindrops. 0

Feeling the commotion behind her, Freya suddenly revealed a determined look as she ran. 0

"This is the only way!" 0

She quickly pulled out two purple seeds and a transparent test tube from a cleverly designed pouch at her waist. 0

These items were given to her by Sara the Wizard when she left. Although she didn't know exactly what they were, the strong energy emanating from them indicated they were definitely weapons of mass destruction. 0

Originally, she had planned to keep them as one of her trump cards for survival, but she never expected to use them so soon. 0

Moreover, if she used them, it was likely that this area would collapse or directly crumble, making further exploration impossible. 0

In fact, Freya had initially chosen to preserve the most intact area. There were certainly deeper places elsewhere that might hide even rarer treasures. 0

But now, under the pressure of those creatures, she had no choice but to make such a decision. 0

"What a pity!" 0

Glancing back, the dark passage and the increasingly close stench made Freya grip the Test Tube tightly. 0

'Crack!' 0

The glass of the Test Tube shattered in her hand, and the transparent liquid quickly dripped onto her body. 0

A faint scent reminiscent of fresh grass emerged. 0

She lightly inhaled the fragrance of the liquid. Freya suddenly shot the object in her hand down the passage behind her. 0

'Swoosh!' 0

Two purple seeds, propelled by her special force, whistled through the air and vanished into the darkness, only to be heard hitting the wall after a long moment. 0

Freya stood still, slightly frowning. Although she couldn't see what was there, she could still hear the rumbling footsteps; aside from that, there were no other unusual sounds. 0

"What's wrong? Did it fail?" 0

She recalled what Saradin had told her about the power of the Purple Seed. At this moment, doubt crept in. 0

However, as she sensed those creatures drawing closer, she wanted to turn and leave. 0

'Creak… Creak…' 0

A muffled sound resembling rapidly growing trees suddenly echoed in the passage, and at the same time, the once sturdy passage trembled violently. 0

'Whoosh…' 0

A fierce wind howled from that direction, lifting her golden hair. 0

"Is this an energy storm???" 0

Freya felt the strong wind that had just passed by with shock and gently raised one hand. 0

In a different perspective, she clearly saw countless green Energy Particles rushing toward her quickly. This was not the peaceful and serene green energy; instead, it carried a sense of frenzy. If it weren't for the color distinction, Freya would have thought these were Fire Element Energy Particles. 0

"Roar!!" 0

While she was stunned by this chaotic energy storm, a deep, muffled roar suddenly echoed from the depths of the passage, followed by even more intense shaking. 0

Freya looked up at the rocks above her, which were slowly developing cracks, and immediately turned to run! 0

Crash! Boom! 0

The sounds of rocks breaking and falling echoed behind her as large clouds of gray dust surged forward like giant waves. 0

Even without looking back, Freya knew that the passage behind her had collapsed. 0

A strong airflow erupted around her again, and Azure Light Wind transformed into a long ribbon that propelled her forward at high speed. 0

As she got closer, the distant White Light point rapidly grew larger. 0

Freya could even see the green forest behind it clearly. 0

Suddenly, the dark passage shook violently, and a figure shot out amidst the chaotic airflow, followed closely by large waves of gray mist. 0

"Huff... Huff... Huff..." 0

Heavy breathing, Freya leaned against a large tree, gasping for air. Behind her was a long gully, formed by the soil displaced during her sudden stop. 0

She turned to glance back. 0

There, the gray dust had not yet settled, but she could still see the obscured opening within it. 0

It seemed that the entrance, which had appeared out of nowhere, was completely blocked by large boulders. Although faint muffled sounds could still be heard, Freya felt a wave of relief wash over her. 0

Though she had not witnessed the power of the two Purple Seeds firsthand, the chaotic energy and its effects clearly indicated that it was a terrifying force. 0

"Is this the power exhibited by an Official Wizard?" she murmured unconsciously. 0

It was important to note that Saradin was merely a Plant Energy wizard and not particularly skilled in combat. If he possessed such power, then what about other wizards? 0

Freya fell into a brief contemplation. 0

During this outing, the only wizards she had encountered were Franc Sith and Saradin, both of whom felt like friends to her and had never shown off their abilities in front of her. 0

As for the wizards associated with Blue Eagle Nest due to her involvement, she only knew them through hearsay and had not seen them with her own eyes. 0

Now it seemed that her understanding of Official Wizards was still quite limited. This realization caused Freya to gradually temper her pride. Although being a Third-Rank Apprentice was nominally the closest level to that of a wizard, the gap between the two was far from negligible. 0

"It appears that I still know too little about true Official Wizards," she said softly as she lowered her head. 0

However, this only strengthened her resolve to advance to become an Official Wizard. 0

Just as she began to adjust her mindset, the opening not far away suddenly trembled violently after having collapsed earlier. 0

"Roar!!!!" 0

A deep roar erupted from within, and the massive sound waves caused the surrounding forest to rustle. A flock of birds took flight in panic. 0

Freya looked at the unusual opening and suddenly seemed to sense something. Her expression changed slightly, and the energy that had momentarily paused erupted again as she immediately ran in the opposite direction. 0

Suddenly, from the spot where she had just stood, a massive purple tentacle shot up from the ground, writhing around as if it were alive, searching for something. 0

Then, dozens of those thick purple tentacles appeared in other areas as well. 0

With a light step, Freya landed on the trunk of a large tree, watching the protruding appendages from a distance. 0

She could feel that the once dense energy in the surroundings was being drawn towards the tentacles. The trees and plants around her seemed to be drained by some force, slowly turning from green to yellow, with large patches of leaves falling from their branches. 0

"What on earth is this?" Freya exclaimed in shock. 0

Although this entity was absorbing the surrounding energy, it did not seem to affect her. However, what it displayed truly frightened her. 0

These tentacles, resembling living creatures, could likely kill her instantly with sheer brute force, not to mention the strange attraction they exerted. 0

"Could it be that the purple seed awakened some creature in that laboratory area?" 0

Immediately, she considered a possibility. 0

This laboratory area had already been confirmed through her investigation to be an abandoned biological synthesis lab left in chaos. There had been some speculation before, but now these dozens of tentacles further solidified her thoughts. 0

Narrowing her eyes slightly as she watched the continuously twisting purple tentacles, Freya quietly reached for her waist. 0

There were still four purple seeds remaining there. If this thing was going to attack her, escaping would be impossible. So she could only choose to fight back desperately! 0

However, just as she decided to take action, the tentacles suddenly began to retract slowly back into the ground. 0

"Hmm? It's gone?" With her eyes fixed on the large hole where the tentacles had retracted, Freya cautiously threw her dagger. 0

'Thud' 0

The dagger struck the edge of the hole, but nothing happened. 0

She waited a moment longer. 0

"It really has disappeared..." 0

After a long while, Freya finally let out a sigh of relief; it seemed this time it was truly over. 0

'Snap' 0

Descending from the tree, she stepped onto the forest floor and scanned her surroundings, taking in the withered environment. A sense of melancholy suddenly washed over her. 0

However, as she touched the books she carried and the Blue Crystal in her waist pouch, she realized that despite some unexpected situations during this journey, her gains far exceeded what she had initially anticipated. 0

"It seems I still have to rely on the academy for materials for the Promotion Array." 0

Gently approaching the hole, she pulled out the dagger embedded in the ground and glanced at the cave now filled with countless boulders before heading back in the direction she came from. 0

... 0

After passing through a vast expanse of forest. 0

She returned to Gerard Town. 0

At this point, her appearance was somewhat disheveled compared to when she left; her body was covered in gray dust, and her golden hair was tangled with a few strands of grass. 0

Yet, Freya did not care much about her outward appearance. 0

Although the creature returned there for unknown reasons, who knows when it will emerge again? That Laboratory Area has likely become a nest for various Synthetic Creatures. 0

Freya had not been disturbed before, which was probably her good fortune. 0

Now that she had what she needed, there was no reason to linger. 0

She went straight back to the inn. The Boss of the inn, that woman, seemed to be absent. After waiting at the door for a while with her packed luggage, Freya realized no one was coming and decided to take her carriage and leave the town. 0

... 0

Four hours later. 0

On the wide road, several carriages passed by in parallel. 0

Among these carriages, one Black Carriage hung at the back. A blonde girl in a brown long dress was lazily leaning against one side of the carriage, squinting her eyes as the gentle breeze from their movement tousled her hair. (To be continued) 0
