If that's the case, it's possible that the few people behind this wall might be discovered before their backup arrives. After all, although this alley is quite concealed, it cannot withstand the soldiers' thorough search, and the secret door in this wall is not very well-crafted. 0

After thinking for a moment, Freya jumped down from the wall. 0

She reached out and gently brushed her hand over the stone secret door, then drew a dagger from her waist. 0

With a 'shh,' a cross-shaped bright red mark appeared on the wall. 0

In the darkness, Freya kicked at the center of the red mark. 0

With a 'bang,' the heavy stone slab was violently kicked open, revealing a room and shadows inside amidst the rising dust. 0

"Rather than having it taken from me, I might as well take it myself!" The calm voice sent a chilling sensation through the two people in the room. 0

In the pitch-black night, most of Freya's figure was hidden in darkness, with only her azure blue eyes emitting a faint glow. 0

Two crimson daggers were casually held at her sides. 0

The oil lamp in the room flickered erratically as a wild-looking man quickly grabbed a giant sword beside him, cold sweat dripping down as he stared at the dark figure not far away. 0

"Is anyone following us on the road?" 0

"Of course not. Do you even know who I am? By the way, how serious is Reis's arrow wound?" 0

"He is still unconscious. If it weren't for that thing given by the adult, Reis would probably be left behind this time." 0

"Well, as long as he didn't die. This operation was too risky. Fortunately, we managed to steal the item. I don't think that adult will blame us. There are soldiers everywhere in the city now. I've already received notice that if we get through tonight, we'll completely abandon this place." 0

"So how do we leave? Are we waiting for the situation to calm down?" 0

"Don't worry about that. The adult will send someone to pick us up tonight." 0

"Alright, Ryan, I've made up my mind. After this job, I'm done. The money I've earned is enough for me to live on for a lifetime. I don't want to die without even a grave." 0

"Don't say such ominous things. Don't you still have us brothers?" 0

"Sigh, not that. Ever since we got our hands on that thing, we haven't seen it yet. Now I..." Hearing this, Freya lowered her hand from her ear, and her eyes flickered in the darkness. 0

From their conversation, she could confirm that the assassination of the city lord was indeed secondary; the main goal was to steal something precious. 0

This made Freya slightly curious. Combining it with the remnants of those Cursed Items, she had already deduced that the important figure they were talking about was likely a certain wizard. So what kind of item would a wizard need? 0

Suddenly, Freya straightened up and looked into the distance. In the dark city, flickering lights were moving quickly, and she could occasionally hear faint shouts. Some of those lights were slowly coming this way. 0

"Have the soldiers of Main City started a carpet search?" she murmured. 0

The oppressive feeling, almost tangible, sent shivers down his spine, as if he were an animal facing a predator. 0

"Who are you?" The deep voice was somewhat hoarse. 0

However, Freya had no intention of answering his question. Her gaze directly bypassed him and focused on a Black Box on the table. 0

Though separated by the box, she could still sense the unique energy emanating from it. 0

"Is that really a Tide Gem?!" she exclaimed, her mouth slightly agape, then her lips curled into a sudden smile. "I can't believe it's this! Looks like today is my lucky day!" 0

The Tide Gem is one of the best materials for crafting Cursed Items, known for its stable energy conductivity. Its value has always been something rare in the Trading Area. She never expected to encounter it simply out of curiosity. 0

Seemingly understanding Freya's intentions, the wild man suddenly lowered his stance, unleashing a surge of violent white energy that rushed toward her in an instant. 0

"Ah!!!" 0

He let out a tremendous roar, his eyes bloodshot. It seemed he was trying to break free from his fear of Freya through anger. 0

The oppressive wind scattered everything around them as Freya squinted at the man charging toward her with a raised sword. 0

Just as the massive sword was about to strike her face, the Crimson Dagger that had been hanging at her side suddenly vanished. 0

‘Clang!’ 0

A burst of red sparks suddenly exploded between the two, followed by the sound of metal shattering. 0

The man looked in shock at the giant sword in his hand, which was breaking apart inch by inch. A wave of despair surged within him. 0

'Bang!' 0

The immense force sent him flying backward. 0

Freya retracted her bare right foot and glanced at the three people huddled in the corner. 0

'Too weak.' 0

Aside from the Wild Man who had just managed to withstand her Mental Field attack and was of Medium Knight strength, the other two were insignificant. One was unconscious, and the other couldn't even break free from her mental corruption, making them hardly worth her attention. 0

She walked lightly to the table and opened the box. 0

In the light, a crystal stone split in red and blue was revealed before her eyes, and she could faintly smell a hint of brine from it. 0

“Just as I thought!” A look of joy spread across her face. 0

With this, she might be able to exchange it for a material in the Promotion Array at the academy. 0

After putting away the Tide Gem, Freya strode directly toward the three people in the corner. 0

The man who had just been kicked by her was sprawled on the ground, coughing up large clots of bruised blood. In the middle of his thick Leather Armor was a fist-sized circular crack, from which faint traces of blood were seeping out. 0

The other two were also sitting on the ground, dazed. 0

Freya walked over to the unconscious man and immediately noticed a ring on his right middle finger. 0

The ring was white and unremarkable, except for a carving of an owl in the center, from which a faint energy aura emanated. 0

"It's a low-level Guardian Ring." With just a glance, she analyzed the function of the ring. The owl symbol seemed to indicate that it not only provided protection but also had a locating function. 0

She could create such low-level Cursed Items as long as she had the materials, but aside from resisting attacks from ordinary people, it held little significance for someone of her level. 0

After scanning the three again and finding nothing particularly special, she turned away in disappointment. 0

As they watched the girl’s figure disappear completely, the two conscious men let out a sigh of relief simultaneously. 0

"What should we do about the item?" The man who had been silent until now asked with trembling lips, still shaken by fear. 0

"What can we do? Cough cough," replied the Wild Man, spitting out a large clot of blood. He weakly continued, "What else can we do? The item has been stolen; the most important thing now is to inform our master about that woman." 0

Before he could say anything further, a thin Purple Flame floated leisurely towards them, causing both men to pause in surprise. 0

Boom!! 0

The purple flames surged upward. 0

Standing not far away, Freya quietly retracted her fingers, the Purple Flame incinerating all traces completely, including the residual Spell messages. 0

As the fire gradually weakened, she finally departed. 0

Lightly stepping onto a rooftop, feeling the hardness beneath her feet, Freya frowned slightly while holding the Tide Gem. 0

She did not intend to return to the inn but instead walked slowly toward a less crowded area. 0

Feeling the coolness of the night breeze, she suddenly quickened her pace, her white silhouette darting like a ghost between the buildings. In no time, she arrived at the outskirts. 0

With a 'thud,' she landed abruptly on a vast lawn, beside a tranquil lake reflecting the stars above. 0

The grass beneath her feet felt somewhat prickly. 0

Freya scanned her surroundings, slightly turning as her gaze fixed on a large tree not far away, her expression showing caution. 0

"Come out; I noticed you back in the Urban Area." 0

"Oh? You noticed me long ago?" A slightly hoarse male voice suddenly emerged from behind the tree as he responded to Freya. 0

A burly man dressed in black Half Armor stepped out from the shadows. 0

He looked at Freya with a hint of curiosity. 0

"How did you find me, kid? Tell me, and I might consider sparing your life." His tone was calm, carrying an inquiry that left no room for refusal. 0

However, Freya drew a dagger from her waist, her eyes revealing a faint killing intent. 0

Although the man did not make any move, she felt an intense sense of threat. 0

The only people who could pose such a threat to her, aside from the Official Wizard, were the powerful figures of Knight's Pinnacle. 0

And since he emitted no energy aura, his identity became clear. 0

Sensing Freya's killing intent, the burly man frowned slightly, seemingly displeased. 0

"Is that so? You won't have a chance to regret it once you're knocked down! Although you Mystics have some tricks up your sleeves, you should consider who you're dealing with!" 0

With a clang, the Black Greatsword was drawn, and in an instant, his figure vanished from sight. 0

The once peaceful lawn suddenly seemed to be swept up in a fierce hurricane. Freya felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on her and without thinking, she immediately darted to the left. 0

"Boom!" 0

A tremendous impact sound echoed as a deep crater appeared where she had just been standing, black soil splattering everywhere. 0

The man was now in the crater, his gaze fixed on Freya like that of a crocodile, silent as he vanished once more. 0

"Such incredible speed and strength." With her eyes slightly narrowed, Freya could only catch a glimpse of the man's movement. If it were purely based on physical attributes or wizard levels, ten Freya would not be his match. However, she was not merely one-dimensional. 0

Her body quickly retreated, a faint current of air swirling around her. The power of Knight's Pinnacle forced her to take this seriously; any negligence could lead to grave consequences. 0

As Freya hurriedly backed away, she could even faintly smell the strong scent of blood emanating from the man, an overwhelming sense of danger suddenly rising within her. 0

Her azure eyes focused ahead. 0

Suddenly, her retreat came to an abrupt halt. A fierce white aura erupted without warning as she flipped the two daggers in her hands. 0
