Lisa is also a member of the academy, and as Freya's mentor, she has the obligation to recruit students who aspire to become Official Wizards.
However, if Freya were merely an ordinary Newly Advanced Wizard, she might have signed a Contract due to the various benefits offered by the academy. But this would not only limit her personal development but also lead to complacency within the academy, which is the last thing a truth-seeking wizard should allow.
Freya chose the path of a wizard partly for the wondrous and novel world it offers, and partly to pursue her own journey.
This world is vast; now that she has become an Official Wizard, she is gradually transcending the realm of mortals and should not be confined to any one place. Otherwise, given the superior environment of Dragon Coast, wouldn’t it be better to become an elegant noble again?
Listening quietly to Lisa's tempting offers, Freya remained silent.
After a long while, Lisa seemed to sense Freya's quietness and paused before continuing.
"What do you think, Freya?"
After a moment of silence, Freya slowly replied.
"I need to think it over; after all, this decision will affect my life and studies for a long time."
"Oh? That's true; this is an important matter. However, now that you have been promoted to Official Wizard, your previous Contract has automatically been dissolved. Therefore, you only have one week to consider this; otherwise, you will be treated as an outsider and expelled," Lisa kindly reminded her. "Of course, as my student, you still have various benefits while at the academy. You have just been promoted, and both your body and mind need some time to recuperate. If you have any requests during this time, feel free to come to me; I would be happy to help."
"I will, thank you, Master Lisa," Freya said respectfully, though her face still showed no emotion.
"Alright then, remember to give me your answer within a week. I have some other matters to attend to, so let's leave it at that." With that, Lisa actively severed her mental connection through the Communication Ring.
Looking at the Communication Ring in her hand for a while, she finally lowered her arm.
Walking over to her desk, she saw stacks of handwritten notes—these were her research findings and Spell optimization formulas from her recent advancement as a wizard.
Gently stroking these notes, she remembered all the content without even looking at them.
If these things were casually given to an apprentice, although it wouldn't instantly make them an Official Wizard, many detours could be completely avoided.
She randomly picked up a notebook, flipped through it, and then set it down.
After glancing at these items again, she lightly snapped her fingers.
With a snap, a wisp of purple flame appeared out of nowhere and then merged into the notes.
With a whoosh, the Purple Flame ignited instantly.
Freya quietly watched as the white paper slowly turned black and became ashes. The Purple Flame cast an unusual glow on her somewhat pale face.
Under her precise control, the Ashfire burned the notes into Black Ash without touching anything else.
After a long while, when only a pile of ashes remained on the desk, she waved her hand, and all the Black Ash vanished without a trace.
Having disposed of all the materials, she tapped the desk, felt the current state of her mental power, and softly murmured.
"Although my mental power isn't very stable right now, overall I am already an Official Wizard. Now, let's test the Empowerment Spell."
The Empowerment Spell engraved in her mind had similar capabilities to the original version of the Spell. However, due to the varying states of mental power during its engraving, there was a certain chance that the Empowerment Spell would change as well. This was unavoidable; the best approach was to test it first.
However, with Freya's precise control, it should be about as expected.
She slightly raised her hand, and suddenly a blue rune lit up at the bottom of Freya's right eye.
"Test begins!"
Without any gestures or incantations, a circle of Azure Wind appeared around Freya, like a translucent membrane.
Feeling the lightness on her body and the Silver Defense Shield in front of her, Freya suddenly frowned slightly.
Although it appeared that a layer of Wind Element Energy Particles had already enveloped Freya and she was passively experiencing the sensation of Light Wind, she could vaguely sense that this solid layer of Energy Particles could be manipulated with mental power and had a certain controllable range.
"Is this a Force Field type Empowerment Spell?"
To test her suspicion, she slowly extended her hands, and the originally solid energy shield wavered before disappearing completely.
Yet in Freya's perception, she understood that this was not an actual disappearance but rather a thin form spread around her.
"This method seems to enhance sensory perception."

This ability was a more advanced manifestation than the Mental Field she had condensed herself.
She lightly closed her eyes, feeling the Energy Particles around her.
In a sensory world composed of various colors of Energy Particles, she seemed to see everything in the room. As her consciousness extended, it surprisingly passed through the dormitory window, allowing her to vaguely see the academy path outside, where several apprentices were walking by, their details almost indistinguishable from what was in her line of sight.
After a long moment, she opened her eyes and revealed a faint smile.
"The range is twenty meters, not bad, but—"
Suddenly, she pointed to the weapon rack on her left, and a flash of Azure appeared.
With a 'crack,' a slender mark appeared there.
Although it wasn't very deep, it was undoubtedly created under Freya's control.
Freya looked at the fine Long Scar with satisfaction and nodded.
"Although it's not as strong as the passive effect of the Empowerment Spell, the Force Field type of Empowerment Spell excels in its various forms of transformation. The main ability effect remains unchanged, which is the biggest gain. If I can utilize this point, it can be very useful in battle. However, before that, I still need to brush up on my knowledge of Wind Element, as well as the new Meditation Method and the Basic Knowledge of an Official Wizard."
The Meditation Method she had during her apprenticeship was given to her by Hegel.

Once, Freya had mentioned similar things in the academy's library. Of course, in the style of Elgreen Academy, there were likely methods related to Plant Energy and Wind Element Meditation, but their levels would certainly not be very high.
Originally, she had the Blue Bracelet to slightly enhance her mental energy and keep her mind active, but now, while testing the Empowerment Spell, she discovered that the bracelet had no effect on her current mental energy at all. In her eyes, it was almost indistinguishable from an ordinary bracelet.

She opened a drawer of her desk and took out a pitch-black box, gently tapping it.
A flash of green light flickered and then vanished as the box opened.
Inside lay an ordinary White Mask and a slightly yellowed parchment scroll.
These were the two items that Hegel had given her.
Glancing at the seemingly ordinary mask, she decided to pick up the parchment scroll that represented the contract.
However, as she untied the red string on top, the scroll suddenly flew up with a puff, releasing a whiff of sulfur mixed with sparks.
"Is it a trigger-type Spell?"
Watching the scroll hover in the air, Freya pointed her hand, attempting to bind the scroll with her invisible mental force.
But the object twisted in an odd manner, transforming into a bizarre Big Mouth shape.
"Cough, cough, hello Freya." A hoarse voice filled with sparks emanated from that mouth. "I am the Abyss Contract; congratulations on becoming a new life form."
"Hmm? A message?" Staring blankly at the transformation of the scroll, Freya furrowed her brows and tried to grasp it again with her mental force.
"No, don't do that." To her surprise, the Big Mouth formed from the scroll dodged her mental force again and said impatiently. "I am not a message; I am Lord Hegel's Abyss Contract." (To be continued)
