The entire room occasionally emitted cracking sounds. 0

Standing outside the door, Hawk waited with mixed feelings. 0

Although he was Angelina's uncle, he was just an ordinary person. 0

He had left the family early for various reasons and only returned after Angelina's father passed away. 0

Regarding the mysterious existence of wizards, he knew a little, but not much, since he had left home at a young age. 0

As far as he knew, his niece Angelina had once studied at a Wizard Academy but seemed to have been advised to leave after failing an assessment. 0

Thus, in his impression, most wizards were likely to be Erudites, humans who possessed magical and powerful abilities, and were generally not seen. 0

Of course, Hawk's impression was also that of people who knew about wizards but did not understand them deeply. 0

However, while this imagination was essentially accurate, the depth of understanding was vastly different. 0

Time flew by quickly. 0

Soon, three hours had passed. 0

The tightly closed door creaked open. 0

A calm Freya walked out from inside. 0

Her appearance was unchanged from three hours ago; even the wrinkles in her clothes had not shifted. 0

Seeing Freya come out, Hawk immediately stepped forward. 0

However, before he could speak, Freya interrupted him. 0

"She is fine now, but it’s best not to move her, and her current... situation is a bit special, so it's better not to let anyone see her." 0

"You... you really cured Annie?" 0

Annie is Hawk's pet name for Angelina, but his words made Freya frown slightly. 0

"Are you questioning me, Mr. Hawk?" 0

Her eyes were fixed on Hawk, the deep blue color of her irises drawing him in like the depths of the ocean. 0

The ordinary old man suddenly turned pale, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead as if he had seen something terrifying, even instinctively holding his breath. 0

After merely glancing at him, Freya withdrew her gaze and walked back toward the previous room. 0

About two minutes after Freya left, Hawk finally exhaled heavily, nearly collapsing from the cold sweat covering his face. 0

He seemed to recall how Freya had abruptly visited him before. 0

That terrifying power had even sent Felix, who had just been promoted to Great Knight, flying with a single blow. 0

After a pause, as his heartbeat gradually steadied, he slowly walked to the door of the room. 0

However, when he saw the scene inside, he was shocked once again. 0

The room hadn't changed much. But lying on the bed was the Countess, wrapped in a giant green egg, with only her head sticking out. 0

Upon closer inspection, the giant egg was composed of layers of green leaves, and astonishingly, a white flower was growing on top of the Countess's head. 0

The healing Spell of Plant Energy, though it looks a bit strange, is quite effective. 0

This Spell was originally a useless item that Freya purchased when she left the academy. 0

Although it is also a First-Level Spell, its complicated casting process means that very few people actually learn it. 0

Freya learned this Spell with the intention of simplifying and optimizing it for future use. 0

However, she did not expect to use it before making those improvements. Moreover, she added some elements she had been researching to this Spell. 0

"If my theory is correct, after recovering, Angelina's strength may experience a significant breakthrough... although the potential extraction could lead to her never being able to progress further. But I believe she won't mind..." 0

In the eyes of ordinary people, a Great Knight is already the strongest combat force. However, for wizards, this level may be far from enough. 0

After promotion, the body fundamentally differs from that of an ordinary human, and the limits of the physical body do not stop at the Knight's Pinnacle. 0

This is simply because the path wizards take is closely related to the soul, and their development of the physical body is only a part of it. 0

The item that Freya placed in the Countess's body is a type of Flesh Seed that can allow for potential extraction once again. 0

Even if it fails, the Countess would at most return to her original state, but if successful, she might break through the Knight's Pinnacle or reach a new level altogether. 0

After returning to her previous room and reviewing some materials, she drove back to her rented estate. 0

The next phase of her life involved researching materials, experimenting, proving certain concepts, and optimizing new Spells. 0

This continued for a week. 0

A week later. 0

In the Laboratory set up at the estate, Freya held the Black Key in her right hand and a dagger emitting crimson mist in her left hand, her gaze solemnly fixed on the clock and recording eye on the wall. 0

Beneath her feet lay a massive Blood-red Array, with Tadpole-shaped Runes slowly moving about, resembling a slender blood-colored python lurking in a circular pond. 0

Taking a deep breath, she looked down at the array beneath her and softly said, "For the first time, entering the experiment, now it begins." 0

With that, she swiftly plunged the dagger into her Heart. 0

The sound of shattering glass echoed as expected. 0

Sharp horns began to grow slowly from her head, and her azure eyes turned a deep crimson. 0

Meanwhile, the world around her was rapidly changing. 0

Gray dust filled the air, accompanied by a pervasive stench of decay. 0

The once tidy Laboratory aged rapidly; the walls turned gray and cracked, with cobwebs clinging to them, emitting faint gray smoke. 0

Freya stood quietly in the center of the array, observing the changes around her, waiting until everything stabilized before taking her first step. 0

The array beneath her feet had transformed into a massive black clock, with only one hand moving and making a clattering sound as it shifted. 0

"The effect of this Spiritual Transformation Array can only last for twenty minutes. Now, let's test my hypothesis." 0

Freya glanced at the clock array before stepping out of the room. 0

The appearance of the manor had drastically changed; everything seemed to have decayed into a state of rot, with invisible gray smoke continuously emanating from the edges. 0

Moreover, the two waiting maids had also vanished without a trace. 0

Freya, already aware of the situation, did not hesitate and walked directly out of the manor. 0

Pushing open the large door of Black Iron, Freya calmly gazed at the seemingly unfamiliar street. 0

On the wide street, every so often, one or two massive shadows moved slowly. 0

These shadows were semi-transparent, mostly humanoid in shape, but there were also other forms. The only part that stood out were their eyes, which appeared as two fist-sized white circles. 0

After studying them many times, Freya seemed to have a clearer understanding of these shadows. They appeared to be similar to plants from the Main World or some kind of sculptures, belonging to the landscape and lacking any intelligence. 0

However, this time, Freya solemnly approached one of the shadows. 0

The slender key in her right hand had vanished and transformed into a strange black rod about half a meter long, which she held tightly. 0

Walking deliberately in front of a shadow, she looked at the enormous transparent figure before her and could vaguely see the scenery behind it. 0

Lowering her gaze to the black rod in her hand, she extended her left hand and gently pressed it against the shadow. 0

‘Snap...’ 0

Her palm touched the shadow. It was not the softness she had imagined; instead, it felt like marble—hard and cold with a rough texture. 0

However, this sensation startled Freya for a moment. She then touched other parts of the shadow, and an inexplicable smile spread across her face. 0

“Indeed! My guess was correct! I am absolutely in the Ruined World now, and not as an observer!” 0

This was an unexpected success from her discovery of the Mysterious Key combined with the Spiritual Transformation Array. 0

“Perhaps this is the true purpose of this key!” she murmured as she looked at the black rod in her hand. 0

The Spiritual Transformation Array was a Rune Array designed to attract Spirits. This was a scene she had simulated based on her own circumstances. 0

Although she didn't know why she happened to enter this world, there was no doubt that everything here piqued Freya's curiosity. 0

Retracting her hand and bypassing the shadow, she strolled through the ruin-like streets. 0

At first, she thought this world was just another reflection of the Main World, but after observing more, she realized that the planning of the two cities was slightly different; it was likely just a close resemblance that Freya had misunderstood. 0

In the dimly lit sky, tinged with red, some gray ribbons occasionally flew by. 0

Aside from these shadows, there wasn't anything particularly special on the streets. 0

Freya, however, took note of the estates along the way as she walked. 0

From her multiple experiences entering this world as an observer, she discovered that the Catwoman she had seen initially might very well be a native of this world. 0

And if she wanted to learn something, these beings would surely be willing to act as her guides. 0

However, this time Freya felt somewhat disappointed because after walking for a long while, she realized that she hadn't encountered a single intelligent being. 0

Time was short—only twenty minutes had passed. If she didn't meet anyone this time, she'd have to wait another two weeks. 0

The Spiritual Transformation Array required materials for its setup and also had a certain corrosive effect on the body, which even wizards couldn't avoid. 0

After walking for about five more minutes, Freya suddenly stopped in front of a White Manor. 0

Compared to other places, this manor was still emitting gray smoke but appeared much tidier. 0

What made Freya halt was that this 'tidy' white manor looked eerily like a giant cat's face lying on the ground from her perspective. 0

The two blue glass windows resembled the cat's eyes, and the door served as its mouth. 0

The cat-like door was ajar, and she could vaguely see the furniture inside. 0

After thinking for a moment, Freya cautiously pushed open the iron door and walked inside. 0

Creaking. 0

She reached out to push open the wooden door and entered the room. 0

Inside, the facilities were indeed exceptionally clean and tidy, forming a stark contrast to the ruins outside. 0

After a quick glance, Freya suddenly noticed a cat dressed in a tuxedo sitting curiously in front of a soft Red Sofa, on a Round Table. 0

The cat was half black and half white, and its tuxedo matched its colors, resembling something out of a cartoon. 0

However, what struck Freya as odd was that the cat's front paws were actually two small children's hands. (To be continued) 0
