Ten minutes later.
At the top level of the Crimson Eagle Library.
This is a gray-toned corridor, with a row of black torches lit on both sides, their flames glowing orange-yellow.
The entire corridor has no unnecessary decorations, giving it a somewhat eerie feeling, like an underground passageway.
The sound of 'clap, clap, clap' is particularly loud, as if in the silent corridor, only her footsteps can be heard.
Freya walks here with a calm expression.
However, although it seems that she is the only one here, Freya can clearly feel her defensive force field quietly tightening around her.
It seems there is a powerful danger coming from somewhere nearby.
From the moment she stepped into this top level, she noticed at least five different types of energy scans sweeping over her one by one.
Such a level of security measures indicates the importance of the top-level information to Crimson Eagle.
Freya estimates that if it weren't for personnel from Crimson Eagle entering, it wouldn't take more than a minute for Crimson Eagle's combat personnel to take action.
With a calm face but a slight sense of anticipation in her heart, Freya soon reaches the end of the corridor.
There stands a huge black wooden door.
The door is inlaid with various gems and patterns.
She raised her hand and swept it over a red gem in the center of the wooden door.
With a creak, the wooden door opened automatically, and the darkness inside brightened as the door swung open.
The room was not very large but was particularly tidy, with rows of individual bookshelves arranged neatly. The front of the bookshelves was separated by a type of crystal that resembled glass but was much harder than glass.
Each bookshelf had special nameplates marked on it.
However, for Freya, some of these nameplates were clear, while others were completely blank.
She understood that this was a restriction based on her permissions.
Freya had just entered Crimson Eagle and, according to the normal ranking system, was classified as the lowest level, Level One, which was the most common.
From there, it continued up to Level Five, which was the highest rank.
The ranking in Crimson Eagle was based on contributions to the organization, such as substituting for others, providing new research results, or completing tasks posted at the Crimson Eagle mission center.
Contributions were calculated based on points.
Accumulating from Level One to Level Two required one hundred points, from Level Two to Level Three required five hundred points, from Level Three to Level Four required two thousand points, and from Level Four to Level Five required five thousand points.
There were not many bookshelves in the room—only four rows.
Soon, Freya found information about the official Meditation Method in the third row.
Using her permissions, she opened the cabinet inside, which contained a thin layer of white paper.
"Is this all there is?"
Furrowing her brow, Freya took out the items inside and counted the documents in her hand, only to find there were just five sheets.
After a brief review, she understood that these five documents were merely part of the official Meditation Method.
However, more information remained sealed within these cabinets.
Unfortunately, due to Freya's level of authority, the remaining documents were too advanced for her access.
"This can be seen as a restriction or control over wizards."
Even though this was only a portion, it could still be considered complete; however, its specifics were limited to effective use by first-level wizards.
"Well, it's better than nothing!" she murmured softly as she quickly tucked away the five pages.
Understanding that this was also the management style of the Crimson Eagle, or rather the management style of most Wizard Organizations, Freya felt relieved.
After all, when she initially chose this organization, she had prepared herself mentally for such circumstances.
Now that she saw it was indeed the case.
Although there were restrictions on her authority, Freya knew that earning contribution points was still quite fast. If one worked diligently as a first-level ordinary wizard, they could reach the Second Level in about two years.
For most wizards, two years was merely a short journey; whether they could smoothly advance to the threshold of becoming a Second-Level Wizard remained uncertain.
Having obtained the desired Meditation Method, albeit only a part of it, she did not intend to linger here any longer.
After all, this place was a confidential area belonging to the Crimson Eagle. Staying too long might attract attention from some higher-ups in the organization.
Then any future attempts at engaging in clandestine activities would likely become much more difficult.
After scanning the plaques on the cabinets again and finding nothing she needed, Freya exited the room.
The territory of the Crimson Eagle was vast.
In addition to its headquarters in Crimson Plain, it also had branches in other locations, including the City of Illusions.
The influence of the headquarters extended to the most prosperous areas of Crimson Plain.
This included three large towns, two ancient ruins, and several villages.
One of the benefits for joining as an Official Wizard was the ability to establish a unique residence anywhere within this region.
Of course, if one did not wish to live alone outside, the headquarters of Crimson Eagle also provided free accommodation for Official Wizards, which facilitated access to knowledge.
However, wizards residing at the headquarters had an unspoken obligation.
If the organization had any needs, those living within the headquarters would be the first choice for assistance.
To make things convenient, Freya casually chose a house among them.
She joined Crimson Eagle through Runology and was assigned to the Rune Department in the personnel division. On a daily basis, aside from routine supervision of the nearby Rune Tower, there wasn't much she had to do, so she would have plenty of free time in the days to come.
Her research and experiments would not be significantly affected; however, if she wanted to quickly accumulate contribution points, she would have to take on tasks or substitute classes to earn them.
Three days later.
In the spacious room of the house Freya had chosen.
She was sitting on a chair with her eyes slightly closed.
In front of her was a dark red, solid wooden table, on which lay five pages of the Meditation Method she had previously taken from the top floor of the library, alongside some crumpled waste papers.
In the tranquility, time passed by second by second.
After an unknown amount of time, a wisp of Azure Wind slowly began to manifest around Freya, like slender azure ribbons swirling around her.
In Freya's meditative vision, two complex azure runes glimmered faintly in the darkness, suspended before her eyes.
As these two runes flickered, Freya felt her previously stagnant mental energy gradually begin to boil and return to an active state.
About an hour later, Freya opened her eyes, her gaze shimmering with an inexplicable light.
She looked down at the five pages of the Meditation Method on the table and sighed lightly in admiration.
"Truly worthy of being the Official Wizard's Meditation Method. The speed at which it enhances mental energy is far beyond that of a basic Meditation Method, and it seems to also possess the ability to enhance one's Spell resistance." (To be continued...)
