Chapter Two Hundred Thirty-Nine: 0

Wizards possessing unique abilities from other races wielded powers capable of shaking the very earth. 0

However, as this glorious moment continued, some unforeseen aftereffects emerged. 0

The temporary enhancement of the body did not match the soul. 0

Some powerful Archmages, who should have perished, found their bodies surviving while their souls dissipated, becoming mere beasts driven by instinct. 0

Thus, the Second War erupted, a conflict stemming from the Human Wizards themselves. 0

The war lasted for many years, plunging the world into Disarray. Even the Ancient Beasts that survived the First War struggled to endure, ultimately leading to their extinction. 0

The once stable world began to develop irreparable Otherworldly Rifts amidst this unprecedented war. 0

Fortunately, the wizards ultimately triumphed over these powerful beings devoid of intelligence. 0

Yet, the cost was exceedingly heavy. 0

The flourishing Wizarding Legacy began to experience significant fractures, and the number of wizards gradually dwindled. 0

The destruction of the surrounding environment made it increasingly difficult for wizards to advance. 0

Only a few powerful Wizard Organizations managed to survive, slowly forming sanctuaries for wizards, which are now major gathering places for wizards. 0

Of course, even today, remnants of the war can still be observed. 0

For example, there are currently non-human races with the Bloodline of the Elk Wizard Family, as well as various ancient ruins. 0

In a corner of this world, in places untouched by war, traces of Ancient Wizards still exist. 0

... 0

"Although this book mostly discusses the general history of Ancient Wizards, it does briefly mention how to break through physical limits." 0

Gently closing the book, Freya fell into deep thought. 0

As she has developed, her most powerful combat ability is her exquisite swordsmanship or close combat skills. 0

The combination with spells even allows her to defeat a Liquefaction-Level Wizard two levels above her. 0

But to this day, she increasingly feels the limits of her body. 0

"The Meditation Method has already been found, so does breaking through physical limits require seeking answers from the Bloodlines of other races?" 0

She had previously discussed the issue of Bloodlines with Rand while at Elgreen Academy. 0

So far, there are only two methods to obtain a Bloodline: one is through implantation, allowing the Bloodline of higher life forms to enter the body for transformation. 0

The second is through intermarriage with non-human races. By mating, one's descendants can inherit this Bloodline. 0

Freya definitely does not want the second option. As for the first, it requires a high level of Anatomy knowledge and strong practical skills to perform the implantation. 0

Otherwise, it would be fine if the implantation fails. Once it is implanted into the body and some other abnormal changes occur, it could become a terrifying situation. 0

"Even if the success rate is so low, how did ancient wizards successfully use implantation to perfectly integrate other Bloodlines into the body? According to biological distinctions, it is fundamentally impossible for two different species to completely merge their genes. It's like two different kinds of organisms; conception cannot occur between them. Yet, the glorious examples of Ancient Wizards are still very real and verifiable." 0

After some thought, Freya could only come to one conclusion: this method might have gradually disappeared after the end of ancient wars, buried intentionally by the wizards of that time. 0

Of course, it is possible that this method still exists in some Ancient Family, but such highly confidential information would certainly not be available for Freya to peruse. 0

"Then I can only wait for an opportunity to search for some ruins and explore. After all, no matter how much something is buried, there is still a possibility that remnants remain from that time." 0

She was determined not to give up on breaking through her physical limits. 0

The strength of Ancient Wizards was vastly different from that of modern wizards, but both ultimately aimed for the same path: the enhancement of their own life levels. 0

In these two aspects, Freya had a distinct advantage. 0

"However, although ancient ruins are very old, the various mechanisms and guardians within them are not something I can handle right now. My current goal is still to fill in my own gaps and improve my strength before tackling anything else." 0

The gradual accumulation of mental power had brought Freya close to Vaporization Level, which was a threshold. 0

If she were to attempt a breakthrough using conventional methods now, she would have about a sixty percent chance of success. 0

This success rate is quite high for wizards with mediocre talents. 0

However, Freya had her own thoughts in mind. 0

Three months later. 0

By a lake not far from Crimson Eagle. 0

A manor with red tiles and white walls is situated there. 0

Next to the manor, a path made of white pebbles extends to the lakeside. 0

A woman in a white dress is slowly walking along this path. 0

The woman has a beautiful face, and a standard Cross Sword is simply tied around her waist with a red ribbon. An ice blue earring hangs from one side of her ear, giving her an unusually cold appearance. 0

Freya slowly walks to the lakeside, looks around, and casually finds a bench to sit on, seemingly waiting for someone. 0

About twenty minutes later, a man dressed in black armor and carrying a similarly dark giant sword walks over from across the lake. 0

The man is tall and strong, standing over two meters tall. With his armor on, he could easily be mistaken for a black bear in the forest. 0

Upon noticing him, Freya also stands up from the bench. 0

Before long, the man arrives beside Freya and pulls out a palm-sized Black Box from his chest, respectfully saying, 0

"Lady Freya, this is what you requested." 0

Without saying a word, Freya nodded, took the box, opened it, and glanced inside before speaking lightly. 0

"Is it still the same quality as last time?" 0

"Of course, this batch was just prepared by the teacher yesterday," the man replied. 0

After a pause, he seemed to remember something and continued, "By the way, the teacher asked me to tell you that you have already used it twice. After this use, it will develop a serious resistance, and it may also cause difficult-to-heal side effects. I hope you consider this carefully." 0

"I understand. Please thank Lady Rowlin for me," Freya said, her eyes flickering. 0

"Well then, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave." 0

"Alright." 0

After their brief exchange, Freya watched the man leave before reopening the box. 0

Inside lay a blue potion contained in a test tube, quietly reflecting a faint golden glow under the sunlight. (To be continued...) 0
