The sky above was pitch black.
However, within this Cultivation Area, there were quite a few Magical Plants that emitted a fluorescent glow, making it relatively easy to see the surroundings.
Freya walked cautiously while observing her surroundings.
She noticed that in addition to these Magical Plants, she could occasionally spot some underground creatures.
This was likely due to the environment attracting them.
After walking for about ten minutes and passing through a large patch of Flame Phosphor Grass, Freya suddenly stopped in her tracks.
A faint hissing sound came from the distance.
Listening closely to the sound, Freya's eyes lit up.
"Is that the call of a Poison Lizard?"
Moreover, it seemed that the Poison Lizard was engaged in a battle.
Her main purpose for coming to this secret realm was for the Pistil of the Poison Lizard, so she certainly couldn't miss this opportunity.
Freya whispered an incantation, and soon her aura became faint and elusive.
Then she flew directly toward the direction of the Poison Lizard.
Before long, as Freya got closer, three massive figures appeared in her line of sight.
There were three Spotted Lizards with skin the color of Black Ash, their massive bodies crawling on the ground, their crimson eyes fixated on something, occasionally letting out hissing sounds filled with aggression.
Green, sticky slime dripped from the corners of these Lizards' mouths, falling to the ground with a hissing sound of corrosion.
Freya, lurking in the grass, squinted her eyes.
These Poison Lizards were about two meters tall and four meters long, looking much more ferocious than ordinary Lizards. The buds on their heads had already bloomed into white flowers, indicating that they were fully grown Lizards.
If it were just a single Venom Lizard, Freya believed she could handle it, but now with three, she felt somewhat troubled.
After all, each Venom Lizard was as powerful as an ordinary Liquid Wizard and specialized in poison magic.
Their natural scales provided defense that was no less than any defensive Empowerment Spell.
Moreover, when Venom Lizards entered hunting or combat mode, they would automatically secrete a toxic mist to paralyze their opponents. Without prior preparation, it would be difficult to deal with them.
However, it seemed that these Venom Lizards had not released their toxic mist yet and were guarding something instead.
Out of curiosity, Freya looked in the direction of the three Venom Lizards and suddenly noticed a thin, transparent Force Field glowing with yellow light surrounded by them.
Inside this Force Field, two young men dressed in Black Leather Armor were struggling to hold on.
"Hey, are those two Third-Rank Apprentices?"
Seeing the familiar figures, Freya showed a look of confusion.
Although she had not experienced the attack power of these Venom Lizards herself, it was unlikely that two Third-Rank Apprentices could withstand it.
However, Freya soon noticed a black card-like object in the hands of one of the apprentices, from which a strong energy aura was emanating.
"I see, it's a high-level Cursed Item for defense," Freya said with an understanding expression.
However, even with such a level of Cursed Item, it was clearly not enough to escape from the three Venom Lizards.
Moreover, looking at the yellow glowing transparent Force Field, it was evident that it had begun to fade slowly, suggesting it had been sustained for quite some time.

The two apprentices, who had been struggling, were gradually turning pale.

Just as one of the apprentices was about to deactivate the Cursed Item and make a final desperate attempt, a woman in a White Robe suddenly emerged from the bushes nearby.
"That's Lady Freya!!"
The apprentice who spotted Freya instinctively shouted out, but due to the Force Field, no sound reached outside.
The three Venom Lizards, however, seemed oblivious to Freya behind them and continued to focus their attention on the apprentices.
Freya looked at the two apprentices, raising her index finger to her lips to signal them to be quiet.
She then pointed to the leftmost Venom Lizard, which was larger than the other two, and made a discreet gesture.
After receiving nods from the two apprentices, she slowly raised her Cross Sword and drew a blue spike.
"Attack!"
At Freya's shout, the spike shot out instantly.
With a whoosh, the spike accurately pierced into the back of the Lizard, its sharpness allowing it to sink almost completely in.
A light blue flame ignited immediately.
"Roar!!"
The searing pain caused the Lizard to emit a mournful roar, but it showed no signs of collapsing; instead, it seemed to have awakened its ferocity.
The other two Lizards, hearing their companion's roar, also noticed Freya behind them.
The two Lizards lunged at her simultaneously, thick green smoke rapidly billowing from their bodies.
"No wonder they are underground creatures of Liquefaction Level; their body strength is impressive!"
As she quickly retreated, Freya glanced at the Venom Lizard she had attacked. Although the blue flames on its back were terrifying, it was still merely hanging back behind the other two Lizards, looking as if it wanted nothing more than to devour Freya whole.
Meanwhile, the two apprentices who had been supporting the Cursed Items saw that all three Lizards had been drawn away and immediately removed the surrounding Force Field.
One of the apprentices spotted the last and slowest Venom Lizard. Gritting his teeth, he pulled out a black Crossbow from behind him.
"What do you think you're doing??"
Another apprentice immediately shouted to stop him upon seeing his actions.
Although Freya had greeted them with the intention of leaving one Lizard behind, now that all three had been drawn away, it was a perfect opportunity for the two to escape.
Unexpectedly, this person seemed intent on actually following Freya's suggestion.
"Of course, I want to keep that injured Lizard! Didn't you understand what Lady Freya meant just now?!"
"Are you an idiot? She's an Official Wizard, with many ways to escape, but we are just apprentices. Surviving against three Lizards was already a stroke of luck. Now that we have a chance to run away, you still want to get involved again! Have you forgotten our purpose for coming here? Or do you want to die here?!"
His companion's words left the apprentice momentarily stunned. He looked at his originally kind-hearted companion as if the words just spoken hadn't come from him.
After a long pause, determination appeared in his eyes.
"Belram Academy! You can escape on your own! I've decided to help Lady Freya! After all, she just saved us from those three Venom Lizards!" (To be continued...)
