Chapter 250:
Looking at the Lizard mark on the back of her hand, Freya snorted coldly.
A swirl of Azure Wind quickly covered the pattern, and before long, strands of black smoke were slowly forced out by the Azure Wind.
Feeling the toxins gradually being cleared away, she flicked her arm dismissively.
"This level of mark is truly rudimentary."
Narrowing her eyes slightly, she glanced again in the direction where the two Venom Lizards had left. Freya discarded the Cross Sword in her hand and drew out a slightly longer Black Dagger.
"Since those two have completely left, dealing with the remaining Venom Lizard will be easy."
She twirled the Black Dagger in her hand and swiftly headed toward the direction sensed through her mental connection.
Amidst the dense underbrush, there were numerous pockmarked corrosion marks everywhere.
Suddenly, a red figure flashed by rapidly, stirring up the grass to form a green horizontal whirlwind.
The howling wind echoed in her ears.
Freya calmly fixed her gaze ahead.
She had fully unleashed her aura and had also cast a lightness Spell on herself; however, her current speed had already reached its maximum capacity.
Two Third-Rank Apprentices facing off against a creature at the Liquefaction Level, even if that creature had been injured previously, it was still no match for the Venom Lizard.
Once the two apprentices were killed, it was likely that with the intelligence of the Venom Lizard, it would immediately flee. Even if there was a Spiritual Message left behind by the Blue Thorn, finding it again would be quite difficult.
Therefore, Freya needed to reach the location before either of the two apprentices was injured or killed.
After running for about five minutes, she could faintly hear the roars of the Venom Lizard and the shouts of the two apprentices in the distance.
Hearing the sounds of battle, Freya secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Having high-level Cursed Items really makes a difference; they can hold out for so long."
Without any hesitation, she charged toward the direction of the fight.
In the distance, the Venom Lizard's attacks had become somewhat frenzied, spewing large amounts of venom from its mouth.
A strong smell of acidity filled the air as the two apprentices desperately used the Yellow Force Field to evade its attacks.
It seemed that their situation was already precarious.
Freya focused on the Venom Lizard that was relentlessly attacking the two, flicked her Black Dagger lightly, and then shot it directly.
At the same time, she shook her hands. Two more identical daggers appeared in her grasp as she rushed toward the Venom Lizard.
Clang!!!
The dagger struck fiercely at the previous thorny spot, and then with a loud explosion, a circle of black flames erupted.
The wound was severely damaged again, and black-red blood splattered out.
"Roar!!"
The intense pain caused the Lizard to let out a miserable roar once again.
Sensing the ambush from behind, the Venom Lizard suddenly turned around. Another spray of venom shot out.
'Splash!'
The green venom resembled a thick water column, faintly shimmering with blue light.
"Saucasnis!"
Seeing the venom approaching, Freya loudly recited an incantation while waving her right hand.
A mass of Azure hurricane suddenly appeared out of nowhere, sweeping toward the column of venom.
'Hissss'
The column of venom was blocked by the hurricane and flew off to the side, creating a pitch-black circular hole in its wake.
Freya did not even glance at the aftermath caused by the venom; she murmured another incantation, and a flash of green light flickered around her.
Then, a fierce look appeared in Freya's eyes as she leaped into the air.
"Final Chapter of the Stabbing Sword - Blade Waltz——Blade Waltz!"
Suddenly, Freya's figure vanished, and then large, blinding sparks erupted around the Venom Lizard.
“Zzzzz—!”
Like the sound of steel being cut, Freya transformed into a whirlwind of white, continuously slicing through the Lizard's tough scales.
The strong winds she generated even cleared away a large area of the surrounding green venom.
On the ground, two apprentices with slightly pale faces looked on in shock at the dazzling scene created by Freya.
“Is this the power of an Official Wizard? It's terrifying.”
Belram Academy murmured to himself.
He knew how fearsome the Venom Lizard was; it carried a deadly poison aura and had an incredibly strong physique. Its scales were practically a counter to all Spells.
Both its Physical Defense and Spell resistance were alarmingly high.
If it weren't for the fact that this Lizard was already severely injured, even advanced Cursed Items would likely be unable to save it from death.
Yet, this terrifying creature was now being utterly dominated by the witch.
It couldn't even touch her shadow.
“Indeed.”
Hearing Belram Academy's muttering, Skarn didn’t know what else to say and could only nod heavily in agreement.
The massive Spotted Lizard roared wildly, twisting its body as if trying to shake off Freya.
But with the cut of the dagger, its originally hard scales slowly began to ooze blood.
The area on its back that had been sliced open by the fine spikes was gushing blood in large amounts.
Finally, with a sudden sound, Freya's figure froze behind it, the dagger in her hand piercing deeply into the wound on its back like a miniature fiery phoenix.
"Roar!!!"
Suddenly, a piercing roar erupted from the mouth of the Venom Lizard.
The breath of life was rapidly fading away.
With a loud thud, the massive Lizard's body collapsed completely.
After a long while, Freya grimly pulled out the already chipped dagger from her hand, revealing a charred hole where she had stabbed.
Thin wisps of blue smoke rose from the hole.
Jumping down from the Venom Lizard's back, Freya discarded the dagger and slowly took out two Test Tubes from her waist pouch.
She threw one towards the two apprentices and quickly drank from the other after opening it.
Once the antidote took effect, she approached the head of the Lizard, which lay wide-eyed and unblinking.
The white flowers on top had not been harmed due to her careful avoidance.
However, because of the Lizard's death, they had begun to turn slightly yellow.
Watching the rapidly deteriorating white flowers, Freya quickly took out the Silver Knife, carefully cut them off, and placed them into a special container.
After finishing this, she turned to the two apprentices and nodded in satisfaction.
"You did well in holding off the Venom Lizard. You are both from Black Scythe Academy, right? Are you planning to stay in this secret realm?"
The two had drunk the antidote that Freya had thrown to them, and the pallor on their faces was gradually fading.
Hearing Freya's question, they exchanged glances, and one of them, named Skarn, nodded and said, "Yes, Lady Freya. Our main purpose for coming here is to find Demon Eye Grass. Encountering the Venom Lizard was just an accident, so..."
"Demon Eye Grass?" Freya suddenly interrupted him. After thinking for a moment, she said, "I can give you two portions as a reward for this incident. How does that sound?"
Demon Eye Grass is one of the main materials for advancing to Official Wizard. Freya had struggled with it during her apprenticeship, but for her now, this resource was merely an ordinary consumable. (To be continued...)
