Chapter 288: 0

With a fierce expression, Rand slowly extended his arm. 0

His once normal skin began to wither and deform, and in no time, his entire arm transformed into a pitch-black bird claw. 0

The sharp claw sliced through the air, leaving three silver streaks, as a putrid stench rushed toward them. 0

Sensing the strong odor in the air, Reilin's expression changed as he ran ahead. He quickly murmured the Segmenting Spell and threw a withered Lizard head behind him. 0

Bang!! 0

A muffled sound came from behind, but Reilin did not look back and increased his speed. 0

Behind him, in the vast expanse of purple-black mist, black crows flapped about chaotically, cawing loudly. 0

Suddenly, two pitch-black bird claws shot out from the mist and yanked fiercely. 0

With a crack, the mist shattered like glass and vanished into thin air. 0

Surrounded by numerous crows, Rand's face darkened as he crushed the Lizard head in his hand. 0

"Another one! I want to see how many more fearsome Lizard heads you have left to save your life!" 0

... 0

The rain continued to fall, and flashes of bright white lightning occasionally lit up the dim sky. 0

Freya walked slowly through the forest. 0

The black Leather Boots sank into the muddy ground, always giving a feeling of being stuck, which was quite uncomfortable. 0

She raised her head to look around at the seemingly similar forest and frowned before continuing forward. 0

After walking for a while, a faint energy aura mixed with the scent of blood washed away by the rain suddenly wafted nearby. 0

Freya stopped in her tracks, gazing in the direction from which the aura came. She extended her hand and suddenly unleashed a burst of green Thin Line. 0

"Swish!" 0

The Thin Line pierced through, and after sensing no unusual reaction, she approached. 0

Passing through a patch of low grass, she soon spotted a figure dressed in a gray Robe within her line of sight. 0

The person stood still, motionless, even as Freya approached without any movement. 0

Freya walked behind the figure and glanced at their feet. She noticed a large area of red stains quickly being diluted by the rainwater. 0

She gently tapped the person's shoulder. 0

With a loud thud, he fell straight down, and his entire body rapidly decayed, turning into a puddle of black water that quickly flowed away in just a few seconds. 0

"It’s a decay curse." 0

Seeing the state of the person's death, Freya covered her mouth and nose, murmuring to herself. 0

This was already the third corpse of a Benifin Family apprentice she had encountered since that battle. 0

Elgreen is different from Cloud City. Here, even the apprentices have extensive combat experience, and their skills and magic are not comparable to those of the White Wizard. 0

Although Rand is well-prepared, he still falls short in some aspects, as the pursuers are all at least of wizard level. 0

These apprentices, enhanced through special methods, are very difficult to defeat. 0

"It seems things have become a bit troublesome." 0

However, this is Rand's problem. For her, as long as she doesn't encounter a Crystallization Level wizard, she has ways to escape. 0

At her current level, ordinary Liquid Wizards pose little threat to her. 0

Even those who have undergone Element Assimilation are the same. 0

Just as she turned to leave, suddenly a figure jumped down from above. 0

'Bang!' 0

The figure landed on the ground, splashing black mud and decaying leaves. 0

As she lifted her gray hood, Tali revealed her somewhat pale face with silver short hair. 0

At that moment, she held a broken Scimitar in her hand. Her Longbow was nowhere to be found, and in her right hand, she was holding the head of a young man with black hair. 0

"Lady Freya, Rand's mark has been temporarily blocked. He sent me to inform you that things are almost done. The items are stored at Toy House with Uncle Sam, and the password is the date you left." 0

Freya glanced at the head in her hand and replied directly. 0

"Are you planning to leave here now?" 0

"Yes." Casually tossing aside the already broken Scimitar, she placed the severed head into the prepared black bag behind her. She continued, "I estimate that the teacher won't appear on the surface for at least five hundred years. You are one of his most important friends, and it will be difficult to meet again. If you want to develop underground in the future, he will definitely assist you greatly." 0

"This guy," she gently shook her head, as Freya looked down at the black crow's head between her fingers. 0

At this moment, the mark that had been emitting a faint glow was now slowly turning gray. 0

After thinking for a moment, she took a white ring off her finger and tossed it to Tali, speaking calmly. "Tell him that if he wants to come to Cloud City, he must inform me immediately." 0

Catching the ring, Tali replied respectfully, "Alright, then I will take my leave." 0

"Mm, go ahead." 0

Receiving permission, Tali walked over to a large tree and extended her hand to gently touch it. 0

Before long, her entire body slowly turned into wood, and with a crack, she transformed into a pile of sawdust. 0

Seeing Tali leave in this manner, Freya raised an eyebrow. "Huh, so she really is of the Wood Elf Bloodline? But this means I've lost a few more friends." 0

She stood in place for a moment, took a deep breath, and then turned to leave. 0

... 0

Three hours later. 0

In a regular town in the northern part of the Dis Mountain Range, Freya, dressed in a black robe and carrying a leather suitcase, slowly walked onto a bustling street. 0

Surrounding her were pedestrians and merchants calling out from their shops. 0

In her empty right hand, she held the head of a doll, occasionally glancing down at it. 0

After walking along this street for about half an hour, she suddenly turned into an empty alley. 0

The alley was a dead end, with a wall made of green bricks at the end. Behind the wall seemed to be someone else's yard, and faint voices could be heard. 0

Freya approached the wall, glanced at the toy head in her hand, and quickly found a simple drawing of a castle in the corner of the wall. 0

"It seems this is the place." 0

Gently touching the drawing with her hand, she then crushed the toy head and pulled out a small red bead from the fragments. She pressed it against the large door of the castle drawing. 0

Ding. 0

A faint sound echoed directly in her mind. 0

The Azure Stone Wall seemed to blur for a moment, slowly revealing a blue vortex in the center. 0

Freya took a few steps back, frowning as she stared at the emerging vortex. 0

"Is this really spatial teleportation technology? This Toy Room of Milly's seems to be more than just an ordinary trading market." 0

Upon reflection, she realized that none of the gathering areas for Dark Wizards she knew had such a strange name. 0

However, based on her understanding of Rand, this could very well be a secret area known only to the higher-ups of Benifen. 0

The blue vortex quickly stabilized, emitting a soft blue glow. Freya stood in place, and through the haze, she could see tall, colorful and whimsical buildings inside. 0

After contemplating for a moment, she decided to step into the vortex. 0

With a 'whoosh!' 0

In an instant, Freya felt as if she had entered a blue ocean. She floated in the water, and beneath her was a dark hole spinning rapidly with immense suction. 0

"Damn it!" 0

Feeling the suffocating pull, a flash of determination crossed her eyes. Just as she raised her hand to do something, she was sucked into the hole. 0

With a splash, 0

After spitting out some salty water, Freya opened her mouth wide and took several deep breaths of air. 0

Once her body had recovered somewhat, she turned to look around. 0

At this moment, she found herself in a massive stone "cave," surrounded by circular blue "pools." The pools were rippling with blue liquid. 0

From these pools, figures dressed in black robes occasionally emerged. Compared to her disheveled state, these individuals appeared completely normal, simply drying off the water on their bodies before walking out of the stone "cave." 0

As she turned her head, she was just about to step out of the pool. 0

Suddenly, a loud bang erupted from the nearest pool. 0

A large splash of blue water erupted, and Freya instinctively waved her hand, conjuring a gust of azure wind that blocked the spray. 0

"Cough cough cough, damn it!! I hate water the most!!" 0

In the splashing pool, a figure clad in a red robe was hunched over at the edge, coughing violently and occasionally spitting out mouthfuls of blue water. 0

His commotion drew the attention of a Black-Robed Wizard who had just stepped out of another pool nearby. The wizard frowned but paused slightly upon seeing the robe worn by the figure, as if recognizing something. He then turned and quickly left. 0

Freya's expression also changed slightly as the figure emerged, emanating a strong sense of danger and an unusually thick smell of blood, reminiscent of someone who had just committed murder. 0

Once the figure calmed down, she hurriedly stepped out of the pool, flicked her hand, and immediately released white steam from her body. In no time, the water stains evaporated. 0

After quickly exiting what seemed to be a Teleportation Portal cave, she was greeted by streets paved with green stone bricks. 0

On either side of the street were shops constructed from enormous multicolored blocks, resembling a toy world straight out of a Fairy Tale. 0

Inside the shops were customers coming and going. 0

Freya noticed that the inhabitants of this place included not only Human Wizards but also intelligent beings from other realms. 0

She had just seen a wise creature wearing a transparent helmet and a black robe that resembled a lizard walking out of a shop that looked like a shark. 0

As she walked down the street, she observed the surroundings. 0

The street was not very long, and after half an hour, she reached the end. 0

However, upon reaching the end, she was slightly taken aback because she discovered that at the end of this street was a vast blue ocean. 0

The deep blue water seemed to stretch to infinity, reflecting the empty white clouds. 0

The white waves gently lapped against the golden sandy beach at the end, where crabs and shells occasionally scuttled by. 0

The water here was exceptionally clear, allowing her to see various colorful fish swimming in the depths. 0

"Could this be an island? Or is this a trading area for the Sea Tribe?" she speculated in her mind. 0

After all, the Sea Tribe Sorcerers she had seen on that street made up a significant portion, while wizards from human and other intelligent races were comparatively fewer. 0

"Excuse me, do you need any assistance?" 0

Suddenly, a slightly hoarse female voice came from behind Freya, startling her as she turned around quickly. 0

Behind her stood a young girl dressed in a white maid outfit, with golden hair cascading down her back and black eyes meticulously observing Freya. 0

"Who are you?" Freya asked cautiously, frowning slightly. 0

The girl suddenly appeared behind her, and she couldn't sense any presence from her, as if she were an inanimate object. This made Freya take her seriously. 0

"I am Milly Number 348, pleased to serve you." Noticing Freya's attitude, she continued, "If you are not satisfied with this appearance, I can change it." 0

The girl lightly tapped her chest. 0

With a sound of 'pop', her body seemed to melt away and gradually transformed into a mass before slowly reassembling. 0

In less than two seconds, she became a handsome man with deep blue hair. 0

"Is this acceptable? Most female wizards are quite satisfied with this appearance." 0

He gently combed his deep blue hair. 0

Freya looked speechlessly at the Strange Creature before her, thought for a moment, and said, "Are you the receptionist for this Milly Toy Room?" 0

"That's correct. You can call me Milly or Number 348." He slightly bowed and said respectfully. "Any questions or requests regarding the Toy Room can be directed to me." 0

"Alright, Milly," Freya rubbed her temples. 0

After a while, she opened her eyes and said, "Then please introduce this island to me." 0

"Of course. This island is one of the trading markets of the Toy Room, featuring three main trading streets representing Slaves, Resources, and Special Items. In addition to these three streets, there are also areas such as the Residential Area, Recreational Area, and Auction House. If you wish to go to other trading markets, you can use the Teleportation Pool for free." Milly explained succinctly. 0

"Living?" Freya raised an eyebrow and asked. "Are you saying that one can stay here long-term? Is there a guarantee of safety?" 0

"Yes, as long as you can afford the price. And please rest assured about safety; private fights or attacks are prohibited in the Toy Room area. We have a solid reputation to uphold." 0

"Is that so?" 0

Listening to his explanation, Freya fell into deep thought. 0

Since she began studying Ancient Inheritance, her mental power had increased at a rate far beyond that of ordinary wizards. Based on her estimates, this speed was comparable to that of talented wizards from prominent families. 0

However, this situation was not entirely positive. At least, this strange rate of increase made her a special target in the eyes of those with ulterior motives. 0

Unpleasant events were bound to occur. 0

The solution to such problems was either to rapidly enhance her own strength to the point of disregarding potential threats or to hide away. 0
