Chapter 305: 0

Leaning against the cold stone wall, Freya slightly squinted her eyes. Under the dim blue light above her, she could make out the figure of a shadow. 0

It was a young man with short black hair and a pale face that bore a cold expression. A faint odor of decay wafted from the black robe he wore. 0

It was the Necromancer, Senterman. 0

“It’s you. How did you get here? What happened?” Senterman asked, frowning in confusion as he looked at Freya, who had been knocked away by him. 0

“I don’t know.” 0

Freya straightened up and flicked the fine dust off her robe, but her eyes remained fixed on Senterman in front of her. 0

“I suspect we’ve triggered some kind of trap in this ruin.” 0

He raised his head and glanced around at the unusually eerie corridor before turning back to Freya with a serious expression. 0

“There’s an unsettling aura here. My positioning device is still functional. Do you want to come with me?” 0

With that, he extended his hand towards Freya. 0

“Oh? Your positioning device is still working?” 0

Freya's tone became very relaxed, but her expression was unusually grim as she stared at the increasingly close Senterman, a faint green light slowly gathering in the depths of her pupils. 0

"Yes." He nodded, seemingly unaware of Freya's change in expression, and continued, "What we need to do now is find Klyent and join them; otherwise, we won't survive in this dangerous ruin." 0

"Is that so?" Freya tilted her head slightly, a hint of understanding appearing in her eyes. "Have they even stripped away Senterman's memories?" 0

"What—" 0

'Swish!' 0

Just as the distance between the two was about two meters, a sharp Azure thread suddenly shot towards Senterman. 0

'Bang!!' 0

A transparent wave instantly erupted from him, firmly blocking the cutting edge of the thread. 0

"Damn it! Freya! Are you crazy!? Just a mere Liquid Wizard!" 0

Looking at the sharp thread so close, Senterman's originally cold and handsome face twisted into an exceptionally fierce expression as he slowly pulled out a handful of black powder aimed at Freya. 0

"If you keep this up, don't blame me for being rude!!" 0

However, Freya appeared to be watching a show, her Azure Thread extending without the slightest relaxation. 0

"It seems this is all you've got." 0

As she spoke, her figure suddenly vanished from her original spot and reappeared behind Senterman in the next moment. 0

Freya's fingers slightly curled, and the ten Azure Thin Lines mixed with Black Marks slowly disappeared between her fingers. 0

"Poof!" 0

After a faint sound, the body of the Senterman she was facing split into ten segments and slowly moved apart. Suddenly, a strong smell of blood filled the entire corridor. 0

Feeling the life signs within rapidly dissipate, Freya turned around calmly to look at the ten segments of corpses on the ground. 0

"Indeed, it is a Flesh Puppet. However, to be able to search for a Second-Level Wizard's memories in such a short time... It seems things are not looking good over at Senterman either. And that Spirit..." 0

After pondering for a moment, she turned around and continued running in the direction where the Spirit had disappeared. 0

The seemingly endless corridor lost its purpose after she killed that fake Senterman puppet. 0

After running for twenty minutes, the continuously extending corridor suddenly opened up, transforming into a large hall. 0

In the hall, dozens of black stone doors abruptly appeared in her line of sight. 0

Each stone door was illuminated by a ghostly blue light, except for the leftmost door, which shone with a Crimson light. 0

As she looked at these stone doors, Freya suddenly noticed that beneath the door with the red light, fresh blood was flowing out. 0

The blood flowed quickly, and before long, it had gathered into a red puddle. Under the illumination of the red light from the stone door, it appeared somewhat sinister. 0

A faint chill lingered around her; even with Freya's temperament, she felt a shiver run down her spine. 0

"Is this also a Spirit?" 0

She frowned and reached into her waist pouch, pulling out a handful of golden powder and directly scattering it onto the stone door. Immediately, she began to chant the incantation in broken phrases. 0

"Bang!!" 0

The powder erupted with a loud bang in the air, quickly igniting into a blinding flame of Blazing White that could dazzle anyone's eyes. 0

In an instant, the entire hall was illuminated in white. 0

"Ah!!!!" 0

Amidst the white light, a piercing female voice suddenly echoed from behind the door. 0

Freya raised her hand to shield her eyes from the bright light emitted by the flames. In the shadow on her palm, she vaguely saw the red blood rapidly evaporating. 0

One of the twisted female faces within the evaporating blood glared at Freya with a look of resentment. 0

"You will not die a good death!!!" 0

The sharp voice was filled with anguish but quickly faded away completely. 0

As the white light slowly dissipated, the entire hall returned to its original state. 0

Freya felt a slight ache as she sensed the still thick presence of Positive Energy around her. 0

"Truly worthy of being 130,000 Magic Stones worth of Blazing Sun Dust; combined with Positive Energy magic, it is indeed powerful." 0

Feeling that the cold aura had already departed, she paused for a moment before walking towards the now charred bloodstained stone door. 0

She reached out her hand and placed it on the still warm stone door, applying gentle pressure. 0

"Crack!" 0

The seemingly solid stone door suddenly revealed a dense network of dark cracks, which quickly crumbled away. 0

A thick cloud of dust mixed with a faint odor of decay rushed towards her. 0

Covering her mouth and nose, Freya waved away the dust and peered inside the door. 0

It appeared to be a rectangular compartment, though its purpose was unclear. 0

However, when Freya's gaze fell to the ground of the compartment, her expression slightly froze. 0

There lay a tall man dressed in gray animal skin. His hair was brown, and the Bearded Man's mouth was smeared with blood. 0

His bloodshot eyes bulged slightly, wide open with an expression of unwillingness. 0

In his dimming pupils reflected Freya's figure. 0

All signs of life had completely vanished. Freya leaned down slightly and retrieved a silver medallion bearing a wolf's head from the corpse. The back of the medallion was inscribed with the name "Orf." 0

"This is Klyent's subordinate." 0

Gently stroking the wolf's head on the medallion, Freya straightened up and looked towards several stone doors nearby that still emitted a ghostly blue light. 0

"It seems I am in a special mechanism of this ruin. Since there are Senterman's puppets here, it’s likely that they have already arrived. First, I need to confirm my location and then find the others." 0

The stone doors were tightly pressed against the walls of the hall, devoid of any energy aura. 0

After a moment of thought, she walked towards the black stone door in the center and smashed it to pieces with a punch. 0

Inside was not a compartment, but a pitch-black passageway. A faint breeze flowed out from within. 0

Looking at the abyss-like passageway, Freya flicked her hand and conjured a yellow flame. 0

The light from the flame illuminated the passageway, revealing a tunnel that led downward, its floor covered with a layer of white ash. It seemed as if no one had entered for a long time. 0

She glanced back at the corridor she had come from. After pondering for a moment, Freya stepped directly into the tunnel. 0

The tunnel spiraled downward. Beneath her feet were stone steps covered in grayish-white ash, and in places where the flame's light did not reach, it remained perpetually dark, seemingly endless. 0

The information obtained from the Shadow Realm was too sparse. Even the map was barely better than a blank sheet of paper; Freya could not recall which direction this ruin was located. 0

This Hester Ruins seemed to be much larger than the Flame Ruins she had previously explored. 0

Fortunately, Freya had prepared many supplies for this expedition. 0

With her Second-Level Wizard's robust vitality, surviving in such an environment for ten months or so would not be a problem. 0

She did not know how long she had been walking in this passageway when her mental energy, concentrated on illuminating the flame, was reduced by half. Suddenly, while walking down these stone steps, Freya heard faint rustling sounds. 0

It sounded like someone was conversing, but it was vague enough that she could not discern which language it was. 0

As she continued to descend, the voices gradually became clearer. 0

"Father, we truly love each other. You cannot tear us apart like this. If you want her to die, then I will not live either!" 0

With that voice, there was a loud bang, as if something had collided. 0

This made Freya furrow her brows, and then she suddenly realized. 0

"Senterman's voice, what happened to him?" 0

As if recalling something, her expression changed slightly, and her previously steady pace turned into a sprint. 0

The spiral corridor rushed backward as she ran for five minutes, and soon a large black door appeared at the end of the passage. 0

Senterman's clear voice reached her ears. 0

"Since you insist on this, then I have no choice..." 0

Without thinking, she immediately extended her palm. A flash of azure light passed by, and the door was sliced into several pieces that fell to the ground. 0

Behind the door was a spacious room where Senterman stood in the center with a frenzied expression, holding a brown rope woven from an unknown material tightly around his neck. 0

The veins around his neck were bulging, and his eyes were slowly protruding and bloodshot, yet his expression carried a sense of ecstasy as if he were finding liberation. 0

Standing at the door, Freya could clearly see that directly opposite him was a transparent blue figure pressed tightly against him, its limbs resembling hands already inserted into his chest as if trying to push inside. 0

This bizarre scene made Freya's scalp tingle slightly, and an indescribable feeling of disgust arose in her heart. 0

She shook her head and reached for the ring on her fingertip. 0

'Buzz' 0

A faint vibration mixed with a transparent aura emanated from her. 0

The transparent figure seemed to sense some threat, and its featureless head slowly turned towards Freya, following the movement of the blue shadow's head. 0

Familiar eyes, neck, ears, and mouth began to appear, directly copying Senterman's face. 0

"Die!" 0

She pointed, and the ring on her fingertip unleashed a Force Field that surged towards the blue shadow. 0

Instantly, upon contact with the Force Field, the blue shadow began to shrink, and the hands that had already plunged into Senterman's chest twisted further as they burrowed deeper into his body. 0

"Hmph! Trying to escape?" 0

Freya snorted coldly, opening her palm and reaching out again towards the blue shadow. 0

With a 'bang', the head of the blue shadow exploded, scattering fragments of blue shadows that quickly dissipated. 0

In the moment the blue shadow vanished, Senterman, in a frenzied state, suddenly regained clarity in his eyes. He looked at Freya, who stood at the doorway with her hand still extended, opening his mouth as if wanting to say something. 0

But in the next moment, he collapsed unconscious. 0

Ignoring Senterman's fainting spell, Freya's gaze flickered as she scanned the room; a chilling scent still lingered in the air. 0

"It seems there are an unusually high number of Spirits in this ruin." 0

She murmured softly, walking over to Senterman's side. After sensing him slightly, she realized that he was only experiencing dizziness due to severe mental exhaustion and had no physical injuries. 0

After looking around the room, Freya sat quietly beside him, meditating and waiting. 0

About half an hour later, Senterman woke up from his unconscious state. 0

As soon as he opened his eyes, he suddenly stood up from the ground, casting a wary glance around. 0

However, upon realizing that only Freya was present, he let out a slight sigh of relief and asked with confusion, "Did you save me?" 0

Without speaking, Freya simply nodded. 0

"You weren't controlled by the Spirit?" 0

"My body is somewhat special; I have a certain resistance to things related to the Spirit," Freya replied briefly, not wanting to delve deeper into that topic. "Let's focus on how to get out of here. Do you remember how you ended up here?" 0

"Alright, I owe you one," Senterman paused for a moment, thinking before continuing. "I only remember standing behind you all when you unlocked the runes on that black stone door. Then I felt someone tugging at my hand, and suddenly I was here—wait, that arm!" 0

He seemed to recall something and raised his right hand. The back of his hand showed no abnormalities, but there was a triangular pattern of a black eye in the center of his palm. 0

Seeing that pattern made Freya's pupils slightly constrict. In her sense of smell, an extremely faint scent of Bloodline emanated from his palm. 0

"What is this? Do you know?" 0

Noticing Freya's reaction, Senterman opened his palm and asked. 0

After a moment of contemplation, Freya fixed her gaze on the black eyes and spoke slowly. 0

"I only know that this is an Elemental Rune, but I'm not sure which specific creature or plant it belongs to." 0

"Oh? Elemental Rune?" Senterman looked at the rune in the center of his palm, frowning. "So, this thing has some use. I remember some wizards who specialize in runes can strip the Elemental Rune and turn it into tools. Can you do that?" 0

"I can, but..." Freya continued, "there are no tools here, and I feel like this rune might have other functions." 0

"What functions?" Senterman asked, gripping the rune in his hand with confusion. 0

"For example, tracking. I suspect that our being pulled in here might not be a trap, but rather the work of a powerful Ancient Beast, and this Ancient Beast is currently using this rune to track us." (To be continued...) 0
