Chapter 308: 0

"It's just a simple technique for exerting force." 0

Calmly responding to Senterman's question, Freya exerted herself once more. 0

With a loud crash, a massive wall, nearly half a meter thick, collapsed, revealing a large hole. 0

Behind the hole was a spacious hall, but Freya's expression changed slightly as she retracted her fist. 0

On the ground of the hall, countless blue, fist-sized bizarre beetles were piled together, seemingly attacking something. 0

In the center of these beetles, the figures of Klyent and others could be seen struggling, surrounded by a faint silver halo that protected them from harm. 0

Now that Freya had just broken through the wall with her punch, everyone, including the blue beetles, turned their attention toward this direction. 0

"What’s going on? What happened?" 0

Senterman, standing behind Freya, frowned slightly upon seeing her expression and stepped forward. 0

Instantly, his face changed dramatically as he gasped in shock. 0

“Azure Black Beetle!! There are so many of them!?” 0

Before he could finish his sentence, the oddly shaped blue beetles immediately lunged toward them. 0

“Run!” 0

Without hesitation, Freya and Senterman turned and fled. 0

The energy emitted by these beetles was almost as strong as that of the golden-eyed guardians, which meant they were not something the two of them could handle. 0

After half of the Azure Black Beetle were drawn in by Freya, Klayent, who had been in a defensive stance, suddenly straightened up. 0

The long-standing frustration had made him extremely angry. 0

‘Boom!’ 0

Klayent stomped down on the stone slab beneath him. Glancing at the listless Shirley on the ground, he stepped out of the silver halo with large strides. 0

Circles of silvery flames erupted from his back, slowly forming a massive silver wolf's head. 0

The silver mane of the wolf head rolled continuously, with red crystal-like eyes fixated on the insects below. 0

As soon as Klayent broke free from the Silver Defense Shield, the surrounding Azure Black Beetle immediately charged at him. 0

Their dagger-like mandibles glimmered with Ice Blue Light, containing a potent cold toxin. 0

"Get lost!" 0

Like a wolf's howl, Klyent punched directly towards the most concentrated area of Azure Black Beetles. At the same time, a massive silver wolf leaped out from behind him, its body instantly enveloped in a vast expanse of pure white ice crystals, flooding the entire hall in an instant. 0

Before long, the hall was filled with the continuous sound of Azure Black Beetles being shattered. 0

Meanwhile, the two fleeing individuals had no time to choose their direction; they simply rushed into any intersection they encountered. 0

These beetles were fast, but their six legs made it difficult for them to turn sharply. Due to their enormous numbers, they piled up in layers within the Passageway, creating a rustling sound that was somewhat eerie. 0

An hour and a half later, the two finally managed to shake off the terrifying insects in the intricate maze of corridors. 0

Upon reaching a safe location, Senterman raised his finger to send a message. 0

Before long, a response came from the other side; it was Klyent's somewhat weakened voice. 0

"I've almost collected everything. If you’ve gotten rid of those things, hurry back to our previous meeting point." 0

"Okay, no problem." 0

After receiving Klyent's message, the two exchanged glances and then turned around in unison to leave. 0

Two hours later, they retraced their steps back to the hall. 0

At this moment, only four people remained standing from the original seven. 0

Shirley and the one called Orf, a Crystalized Wizard, had completely passed out and were being cared for by Udi on either side. 0

Klyent sat atop a pile of blue insect corpses, his black eyes glimmering with hints of silver, tiny sparks of silver fire occasionally erupting from him. 0

It seemed he had also suffered severe backlash damage from magic. 0

Looking at the two who appeared to be in dire straits, Klyent stood up and spoke. 0

"Where did you two come from? Why did you suddenly disappear earlier? What happened?" 0

"It was probably a spatial trap," Senterman replied, a hint of shame on his face. "If it weren't for Freya, I would have likely died there. However, Jester sacrificed himself." 0

"I see, I understand now." Klyent nodded calmly, his silver-glimmering eyes seemingly lost in thought. 0

After a long pause, he glanced at Udi, who was treating the two wizards. 0

"How is it? Can you wake them up?" 0

"It's a bit difficult." Udi held two green Tokens towards them, which released a strong life force. 0

"They were hit by a Spirit mental attack. I can only ensure their bodies won't die by using Collapse, but they will have to rely on their own efforts to recover mentally." 0

"Alright." After a brief contemplation, Klyent walked over to the two and picked up a large black box. 0

"Let's not wait any longer. Let's go outside first." 0

His suggestion quickly received agreement from several people. 0

Soon, the two unconscious individuals were carried by Udi and Senterman as they headed towards the exit. 0

This time, the group had separated during the exploration. 0

Although Freya was unclear about what Klyent had encountered, it was evident from their expressions that they had also faced something very troublesome. 0

However, this was their first time entering the ruins, so even if there were casualties, it was within expectations. 0

Three hours later. 0

Under the massive Black Mountains, the group gradually emerged from the entrance of the ruins. 0

Outside the entrance, the wizards had set up a camp during their time inside, with some special devices surrounding the entrance, though their specific purpose was unknown. 0

As soon as they stepped out, Klyent handed the Black Box in his hand to the approaching wizard and then asked, 0

"Did any wizards come to investigate while we were inside?" 0

"No, my lord." 0

"Mm." Nodding, he then turned his gaze to scan the others who had entered the ruins together. 0

"What are your plans? I have decided to take a half-month break and then enter again. Who wants to come with me?" 0

"I do," Udi replied. "This time when I went in, I happened to find something good, but those bugs got in my way." 0

"That's fine." Klyent looked at Freya and the others. "What about you two?" 0

"I'll go too," Senterman said lightly, without giving a reason. 0

Freya shook her head. 0

"I'll pass. I gained something this time and need to go back to experiment with it. Besides, my strength is too weak; going in again would only hold everyone back." 0

"Suit yourself. Since you want to leave, I'll send someone with you later." 0

"Okay." She nodded gently. 0

Then the others ignored her and began to walk into the arranged tents, clearly prepared for a long stay. 0

After standing in place for two minutes, a wizard dressed in white fur approached her and respectfully said, "Lady Freya. The carriage has been arranged. You can depart at any time." 0

She quietly touched the test tube at her waist and raised her head. "Then let's go now." 0

Two months later. 0

Inside a laboratory in Lakefront Manor, Crimson Plain. 0

Freya was intently staring at a large transparent Cultivation Tank. 0

The liquid inside the Cultivation Tank shimmered with a green glow, gently rippling. Within it swam numerous tiny black creatures the size of hair strands. 0

This was the initial form of the Mud Python, a result of Freya's efforts over the past two months. 0

Using the essence from King Cobra Scales as a stimulus for the Mud Python's mutation, she was somewhat uncertain whether this method would actually cultivate a King Cobra. 0

However, most biological mutations occur after the initial stage, so she would have to wait at least another month. 0

Watching the tiny Mud Pythons swimming in the Cultivation Tank, Freya took out some red pellets from her waist pouch and sprinkled them inside. 0

The Mud Pythons immediately darted towards them like fish, eagerly devouring the Bloodline essence. 0

After completing this task, Freya draped a piece of black cloth over the Cultivation Tank and calmly walked out of the laboratory. 0

Knock, knock, knock. 0

Just as she stepped out of the room, a knocking sound came from the nearby glass window. 0

Turning her head, Freya discovered that it was a large red bird, its eyes gleaming with a human-like light, standing on a brown leather suitcase. 0

"You're here so soon?" 0

Seeing the suitcase, Freya quickly walked over and opened the window. 0

"Lady Freya, this is your package." 0

As soon as the window was opened, a magnetic male voice came from the bird's beak. 0

"Thank you for your trouble." After receiving the suitcase, Freya extended her hand and placed two black Magic Stones into the bird's claw. 0

"You are too kind." After a pause, the bird spread its wings and quickly flew into the sky, disappearing into the clouds in no time. 0

Watching it completely vanish, Freya closed the window and then turned her gaze to the suitcase in her hands. 0

This was the supplies that Klyent had found in the Hester Ruins, belonging to her portion. 0

She placed the suitcase on the living room table and gently opened it. 0

Inside, apart from various limbs of some creatures, there were also some seemingly rudimentary documents. 0

After glancing at those documents, she chose not to look any further. 0

These documents were too low-level for her, given her Ancient Inheritance; they were simply not worth reading. 0

Soon, Freya pulled a black leg from the pile of bodies and placed it in front of her. 0

The leg was covered in black lightning-shaped runes, and even in death, Freya could sense the powerful Bloodline Aura contained within it, stronger than that found in other materials. 0

Moreover, upon closer inspection, it became clear that this leg, resembling a human limb, did not actually belong to a human, as it was far too slender compared to a human leg. 0

It appeared fragile and seemed rarely used. 0

Based on the information from her heritage, Freya quickly deduced that this came from a creature known as the Electric Fairy, one of the Ancient Beasts. 0

However, after a brief observation, she extended her hand. 0

Two green Slit Pupils slowly appeared in her azure eyes. 0

With a swish, half of the leg, which was as long as a human arm, vanished, revealing dark red blood and white bones. 0

But immediately after, the remaining half of the long leg also disappeared suddenly. 0

Freya patted her stomach with satisfaction. 0

That last action had almost made her stomach feel slightly bloated, indicating that the Bloodline Aura was quite rich within it. 0

If she continued to consume at this rate, she would soon be able to reach the intermediate level of a Second-Level Wizard. 0

Just as Freya was about to devour the next rich Bloodline substance, her fingertips suddenly glowed with Azure Light. 0

"This is the Rune Department. Please come to the office; I have something for you to do." 0

This was a mass message, delivered in the voice of an elderly woman that Freya recognized as Meilong, one of the Deputy Directors of the Rune Department. 0

Frowning slightly at the various Bloodline materials, she simply opened her palm. 0

With a swish, everything in the suitcase transformed into energy and entered Freya's stomach. 0

Her ability to absorb using the King Cobra technique had become increasingly proficient in her hands. 0

After finishing this, she picked up the nearby White Robe, put it on, and left the estate. 0

This was also a downside of joining the Wizard Organization; if there was something important, she, as a member of the Wizard Organization, had to be present. 0

She just didn't know what Meilong wanted her to do this time. 0

After more than half an hour, Freya arrived at the Crimson Eagle's Rune Department. 0

Upon entering the conference room, she saw several wizards already seated around the long black table, engaged in quiet conversation. 0

Freya took a seat at the far left and gently closed her eyes to meditate, waiting quietly. 0

After a while, several witches dressed in green robes entered, but these witches looked unfamiliar, seemingly new recruits from the Rune Department. 0

Ten minutes later, a witch with silver hair in a red robe, Meilong, suddenly appeared at the long table. 0

She scanned all the Runes Department Wizards present and lightly tapped the table to draw their attention. 0

"Alright, I believe you all have guessed why I called you here. That's right, it's the Academy's Apprentice Exchange Conference held every three years. Our Rune Department has been assigned to collaborate with the Equipment Department's wizards to set up the Arena." 0

Listening to Meilong's words, Freya gently opened her eyes. 0

The Witch Exchange Meeting refers to a competition where apprentices from various academies compete against each other. The ultimate victor not only receives generous rewards but can also be taken as a disciple by at least a Second-Level Wizard. 0

It is important to note that the treatment of a disciple is very different from that of an ordinary student at the academy. 0

Therefore, this conference holds significant meaning for most apprentices. 0

However, this does not concern Freya much. 0

After all, she is not an apprentice. 0

"Alright, that's how it is. The exchange conference will be held in ten days; you need to speed up your preparations!" 0

After she finished speaking, she vanished with a whoosh. 0

This time, Freya noticed the subtle energy present in the air. 0
In her line of sight, a gust of Azure wind swiftly passed through the gap in the window. 0

"This is the convenience of the Elemental Ritual's teleportation ability," she murmured softly. 0

However, she had already decided to pursue the path of the Ancient Wizard, and this technique of elemental transformation was no longer relevant to her. 0

After seeing Meilong leave, the other wizards also stood up and walked outside. (To be continued...) 0
