Chapter Three Hundred Nineteen: 0

Darkness. 0

It felt like an endless abyss of darkness. 0

Freya, surrounded by Azure Wind Flow, stood with a gloomy expression in this darkness. 0

She never expected that the Black-Robed Wizard would strike back at her. 0

Moreover, because of this, the two wizards outside must have escaped. 0

However, what concerned Freya the most was that black robe. 0

The mental pollution from a Second-Level Wizard could already have a certain hypnotic effect on a First-Level Wizard, but that person showed no signs of being affected at all. 0

"That guy is either hiding his true strength or has something to resist mental pollution!" 0

Looking at the area filled with darkness, a glimmer of contemplation flashed in Freya's eyes. 0

She knew very little about the Red Cross, a medium-sized organization, due to its remote location and her own lack of compatibility with it. 0

And this area resembling Dark Space was even more unclear to her. 0

"Earlier, that black robe seemed to crush a black sphere in his hand. Thus, this space is not created by magic but is something produced by a Magic Weapon." 0

She thought for a moment, then crouched down and gently touched the ground, feeling a cold, glossy texture beneath her fingertips. 0

"Is this metal? It seems this is not a real space," Freya frowned and then stood up. "Let's test it out." 0

She reached out to touch the black sensing ring she had just obtained, lightly closing her eyes. 0

"Whoosh!" 0

At her touch, countless translucent blue Thin Lines suddenly shot out from the ring, spreading outward around Freya. 0

These Thin Lines were densely packed and extended over a considerable distance. 0

In Freya's perception, her mental sensing was drawn to these Thin Lines, allowing her to extend her awareness to an unimaginable range. 0

Combined with her own mental compression, it felt as if nothing in the surrounding area could escape her sensing. 0

However, as the mental Thin Lines spread out, Freya raised an eyebrow. 0

According to her calculations, her mental sensing had already expanded to a range of one kilometer, yet she still had not reached the boundaries of this space. 0

Opening her eyes again, curiosity glimmered in Freya's gaze. 0

"The space created by the Magic Weapon is surprisingly vast. It seems this Magic Weapon must belong to a higher level. Now, what if I do this?" 0

After a pause, she raised her hand and murmured a segment of incantation. 0

In the dark space, a large mass of white mist began to rapidly coalesce, and soon a gigantic white hand appeared in the air, large enough to block out the sun. 0

As Freya pressed down her arm, a large hand formed from the White Mist suddenly slammed into the ground. 0

"Boom!!!" 0

A strong rumbling sound accompanied by a surge of moisture spread out. 0

The intense humidity created by the witchcraft blew through Freya's hair, giving her a cool sensation. 0

She squinted her eyes slightly, and in her enhanced mental perception, she could clearly feel that this space seemed to emit a faint tremor. 0

"Oh? It seems that the destruction is effective." 0

Murmuring to herself, Freya took several black seeds from her waist and flicked them with her fingers. 0

One by one, the seeds quickly disappeared into the darkness, and soon a green glow appeared around her. 0

"Creak, creak." 0

With a grating sound that made one's teeth ache, brown roots fiercely plunged into the ground. The ground, formed of some unknown metal, seemed unable to withstand the power of the vines and quickly broke apart. 0

Then, towering trees covered in green thorns appeared before Freya. 0

These trees were surrounded by dense Thorn Vines, which all lashed out towards the ground at Freya's command. 0

"Crack! Crack!" 0

The synchronized explosive sounds caused the entire Dark Space to tremble noticeably. 0

"Enough!!" A hoarse voice suddenly drowned out the sound of the Thorny Vines whipping in the dark space. 0

"My lord, if you retract your previous conditions, I will let you go. I will also provide three Magic Weapons and all the information our Red Cross has on Ancient Beasts. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to attack you!" 0

"Are you serious?" Freya raised her head, her eyes veiled in a faint green glow. 0

"Of course, I swear by the honor of the Red Cross." The voice from the black robe seemed to soften, sensing there might still be room for negotiation. 0

However, Freya merely smiled slightly. 0

"Hah. You know, I can't stand being threatened by others, and you've already missed your chance once." 0

As she spoke, countless towering Thorny Vines erupted explosively. 0

'Bang!!!' 0

A large amount of wood chips mixed with violent energy scattered everywhere, making the tremors in the entire Dark Space even more pronounced, as if an earthquake had struck. Even the black metallic floor beneath them cracked with fine fissures. 0

"Damn it!" The figure hidden in the darkness did not expect Freya to completely reject compromise. His tone turned sinister. "In that case, don't blame me for being rude! The things in this space won't be so easy to withstand, even for a Second-Level Wizard!" 0

Without a word, Freya stood there expressionless, her eyes revealing a contemplative look. 0

'There is no trace of Bloodline, no mental feedback or special scent; it seems to have merged completely with the Dark Space. However, anything formed by Magic Weapons must have its limits; as long as there is a hint of weakness...' 0

While she was pondering, a peculiar and subtle mental fluctuation suddenly came from afar. 0

Freya lifted her head and narrowed her eyes as she gazed into a pitch-black area. She flicked her hand. 0

Several flames scattered, and the yellow light immediately dispelled a bit of darkness. 0

In the distance, a row of massive black shadows silently moved closer. 0

These shadows stood about three meters tall, clad in black armor, with no facial features on their heads. Apart from the black armor, their limbs appeared mist-like, not resembling human form. 0

"Is this a Low-Level Negative Energy Elemental Body?" sensing the energy fluctuations among them, Freya's eyes revealed a look of confusion. "With only the mental power of a Third-Rank Apprentice, what use is there even if they are numerous?" 0

Not to mention Second-Level Wizards, even the power of First-Level Wizards was beyond what ordinary people could withstand. However, recalling the words of the figure in the dark robe, Freya felt a hint of vigilance rise within her. 0

After a brief contemplation, she extended her hand and clenched her fingers. 0

"Let's take them down first." 0

Five extremely long Azure Threads mixed with Black Marks swept fiercely toward those Elemental Entities. 0

'Swish!' 0

A dark halo flashed across the surface of the shadow. Nevertheless, five clear cracks easily sliced through the front row of shadows. 0

As she cleared a group of Negative Energy Elementals, Freya's expression revealed understanding. 0

"So this is their defensive strength. If that's the case, it would indeed be somewhat tricky for other Second-Level Wizards." 0

The defensive power exhibited by these Elemental Entities during Freya's attack had surprisingly approached that of a First-Level Crystallized Wizard. 0

If it weren't for her own magic possessing high condensation, compression, and tearing properties, that casual strike might not have produced any effect at all. 0

Moreover, if there are no accidents, the attacks of these Elemental Entities also utilize this kind of combined skill. 0

The shadow in front was torn into pure Energy Particles and dissipated, but the shadow behind continued to approach rapidly. 0

Immediately, a wave of pure energy surged from them. 0

"Hmph!" 0

Sensing the gathered energy fluctuations, Freya snorted coldly, and the not yet fully dissipated Azure Thread quickly turned again. 0

"Swish!" 0

Like cutting wheat, large areas of shadows transformed into pure energy mist and vanished. 0

"I want to see how many Elemental Entities are here for me to kill!" 0

The range of Azure Thread is extremely long, and being a highly condensed energy-type spell, it poses no obstruction to this kind of combined technique. 0

However, the black-robed Sain, hidden in the darkness, looked grave as he watched the controlled shadow figures fall one by one. 0

Previously, he thought that with the power of Heart of Shadow, even if he couldn't subdue this witch, he could at least make her retreat. But now, this situation was beyond his expectations. 0

"Damn it! If it weren't for Heart of Shadow being based on the user's mental level to condense the shadow figures, if I hadn't been cursed... otherwise..." 0

Although he had resolved to risk his life to hold this person back when releasing Magic Weapon, he still felt hesitant when faced with real danger. 0

Ten minutes later. 0

"Rip." 0

A clear spark appeared on the ground, and a large shadow dissipated instantly. 0

Freya, with a somewhat impatient expression, tore apart these seemingly endless Elemental Entities. 0

"This is too much of a waste of time. I have almost understood the limits of this space; let's resolve it all at once." 0

The Azure Thread in her hand slightly dispersed. Immediately, a long Azure Flow began to gather rapidly. 0

Flowing Light emitted a sharp aura, the halo reflecting a somewhat cold expression on Freya's face. 0

She suddenly swung the Flowing Light in her hand. 0

With a whoosh, the Flowing Light extended infinitely outward. Like a visible laser, it pierced through countless shadows until it was out of sight. 0

In the darkness, Sain felt a tightness in his heart upon seeing the appearance of this Flowing Light. 0

Then, the Flowing Light traced a circle centered around Freya. 0

"Poof!" 0

After a layer of dense halo, a large cloud of black smoke erupted. 0

The surrounding dark shadows quickly retreated, and the metallic floor transformed back into its original stone slab. 0

Suddenly, the environment brightened, and Freya instinctively squinted her eyes, only to find that she had returned to the previous room. 0

Across from her, the figure in the black robe lay slumped on the ground, clutching his chest with wide-open eyes, showing no signs of life. 0

"Dead?!" Freya frowned as she approached the corpse in the black robe. 0

She reached out to uncover his stiff hand and discovered that he was still gripping a shattered Black Sphere, from which wisps of black smoke emanated. 0

Freya paused for a moment. 0

"This is that Magic Weapon from the Dark Space. It seems he didn't want me to have it even in death." 0

However, she soon began to search the black-robed man's waist pouch and the few rings he wore. 0

To her dismay, most of the items had been deliberately destroyed, leaving only a relatively sturdy shadow sculpture and an undamaged black bone. 0

From the energy fluctuations emanating from them, Freya deduced that these two items also belonged to the level of Magic Weapons. 0

This made her look at the corpse on the ground with a peculiar gaze. 0

"With so many Magic Weapons, it seems this guy held a significant position in the Red Cross. But what about those two individuals?" 0

During her study of the King Cobra Legacy, she had seen them. Although Freya wasn't sure if that person truly recognized it as Ancient Inheritance, it compelled her to take it seriously. 0

Ancient Inheritance has always been a major topic for Modern Wizards, with families or organizations like the Elk Wizard Family associated with Ancient Inheritance being quite renowned. 0

If it were known that a Second-Level Wizard without any background or power carried such secrets, 0

the consequences would be unimaginable. 0

With a slightly grim expression, she put away the two Magic Weapons that still bore remnants of spiritual markings. 0

Freya scanned the ground and then walked over to a spot stained with a bit of blood. 0

Crouching down, she dipped her finger into the thick red liquid on the surface. 0

Her pupils narrowed slightly, transforming into green Slit Pupils. 0

Recording the scent of this blood, Freya squinted her eyes slightly. 0

"Hmph, I will catch you sooner or later!" 0

She then looked around the room again, which contained two single beds, a rectangular wooden table, and several chairs. 0

On the table were some materials and miscellaneous items used for casting spells. 0

The place seemed to be a temporary hideout, with nothing of value inside. 0

After realizing there was nothing worthwhile, she turned to leave the room. 0

As she walked out the door, Freya flicked her finger, and a wisp of black flame flew onto the corpse. 0

With a soft whoosh, the flames crackled lightly as the body burned quietly without contaminating anything else, leaving only a pile of black ashes in no time. 0

All spiritual fluctuations and energy signatures were completely eradicated along with the burning black flames. 0

After completing these tasks, Freya finally felt at ease and turned to leave. 0

Her figure quickly disappeared into the alley. 0

... 0

In the dimly lit Yule Forest. 0

The figure in the black robe supported Yuri, moving swiftly through the forest like a ghost. 0

The surrounding trees rushed past them. 0

Suddenly, he stopped, staring blankly at the shadowy mark on his fingertip that was slowly turning gray. 0

"Sain!!" 0

The disappearance of the mark indicated that this person's spirit had already collapsed. 0

It seemed that his voice awakened the unconscious Yuri. The young wizard opened his eyes and weakly scanned his surroundings. 0

"Lord Gryss, why didn't the teacher follow us?" 0

Gryss, the one in the black robe, quietly dispersed the gray mark in his hand and comforted him. 0

"Sain has gone to hold off that witch, so he will probably be a bit late. Let's head to the designated location and leave Crimson Plain first." 0

"Holding off?" Yuri's pale face showed some concern. "But that's a Second-Level Wizard. I'm afraid..." 0

"Don't worry, have you forgotten? Your teacher has the Heart of Shadow. Even if he can't kill that witch, he can still escape." 0

"That's true," Yuri said, pulling at her lips and looking down at her chest. 0

The Blood Hole was now filled with a layer of white powder, and delicate Pink Flesh Buds were slowly growing out. (To be continued...) 0
