Chapter Three Hundred Twenty-Eight: 0

"No problem," Lawrence nodded. 0

After Feynman left, a short while later, several men and women holding wine glasses and wearing smiles began to look over this way. 0

It seemed they were about to come over for a chat. 0

Seeing this, Freya took a small step back, maintaining her smile, but her deep blue eyes subtly became more profound. 0

She leaned in close to Lawrence's ear and softly said, "I have something to take care of. I'll leave this to you." 0

Hearing Freya's voice, Lawrence's gaze dimmed slightly before brightening again. "No problem, leave it to me." 0

"Thanks, I'll get you a gift later." 0

Freya gently patted his shoulder and then slowly walked away in the opposite direction of the crowd. 0

Meanwhile, the lord Feynman, who had been entertaining guests, frowned slightly. He slowly turned his gaze toward the direction Freya had left, as if sensing something. 0

... 0

After leaving the spot, Freya casually picked up a piece of brown cake from a tray and began to eat while scanning her surroundings. 0

She emitted a faint green light, and those around her seemed to completely overlook her identity as the Blood Eagle Clan Sorceress, engaging in normal conversation. 0

Suddenly, Freya narrowed her eyes slightly. Not far to her right in a corner, an old wizard named Jann dressed in a blue robe was speaking with a young man dressed as a noble. 0

Both of them held cups filled with blue liquid, smiling as they occasionally clinked their glasses together, appearing to share an equal relationship rather than one of seniority. 0

"Interesting, I can smell the Bloodline of Ancient Beasts." 0

Freya stood still, observing the young man with fiery red short hair and Noble Attire. Two golden rings on his fingers subtly emitted waves of energy. 0

At his waist hung a decorative black whip, and he wore black boots with silver edges. 0

His appearance was quite ordinary, but his wine-red eyes caught Freya's attention, as if they concealed something dangerous. 0

After a moment, Freya suddenly waved to a young woman in a red evening gown nearby. 0

The woman was momentarily taken aback, but upon noticing Freya's Robe, her expression brightened. She hurried over. 0

"Lady Freya. I am Elizabeth. How may I assist you?" The woman seemed a bit nervous, her words coming out unclear. 0

"Ah, no need to be nervous. I just wanted to ask, who is that person over there?" Freya smiled and spoke gently. 0

"Over there?" Following Freya's gaze, the woman looked at the young man and introduced him with curiosity. "That is Lord Sindan. He is the second son of Lord Feynman and is expected to officially join Blood Eagle Territory next month." 0

"Oh, Feynman's son?" 0

Freya appeared thoughtful for a moment before turning and handing a perfectly intact pastry to the woman. "Thank you for your answer. This is for you. Goodbye." 0

The woman stood there in a daze as she accepted Freya's cake, watching with a bewildered expression as Freya quickly walked towards the two individuals. 0

As Freya approached, their conversation gradually fell into her ears. 0

The two seemed to have sparked inspiration during a routine Magical Plants cultivation experiment, exchanging their experiences. 0

When Freya walked straight over, both turned their heads simultaneously, looking puzzled. 0

Freya casually took a wine glass from the tray of a passing servant. "Gentlemen, I hope you don't mind if I join in; I happen to have some knowledge about this experiment as well." 0

Sindan was momentarily taken aback by Freya's somewhat familiar tone. "Oh, of course, you're welcome, but who are you?" 0

"Hello, Lord Sindan, I am Freya Green from Blood Eagle Territory." Freya smiled. 0

Upon hearing Freya's introduction, Sindan and Jann immediately noticed the white robe with red trim that she wore, and their expressions became strange. 0

"So it's Lady Freya; my apologies." Sindan forced a smile and gently clinked his glass against Freya's. 0

Meanwhile, Jann's expression darkened slightly upon seeing Freya's robe for some reason. 0

He seemed to lose interest in the conversation, stepping back slightly and speaking softly to Sindan. 0

"Well then, I'll take my leave. I have some experiments to attend to; you know how it is. If you have time, come visit my private tower; I've been there recently." 0

Sindan nodded in understanding. "Alright, I'll have someone escort you." 0

However, before he could finish his sentence, Freya interrupted directly. 0

"Lord Jann, don't be in such a hurry to leave. I'm quite eager to hear more about Starlight Tower; why not stay and chat a bit longer?" 0

"Hmm?" Jann's white beard trembled slightly as he looked up at the taller Freya and calmly replied, "Lady Freya, I really do have a very important experiment waiting for me in my lab. If you wish to discuss something, let's save it for next time. I will personally visit your residence then." 0

The rejection in her words was quite obvious, yet Freya's smile deepened. She leaned forward slightly and said softly, 0

"Is it that Lord Jann is unwilling to give me face, or are you simply unhappy at the ball?" 0

Her voice was light, but the coldness in her tone made Jann's expression stiffen. In his mental perception, the aura of the Blonde Witch in front of him suddenly became very strange, as if a cold snake was coiling around his body. 0

On the other side, Sindan looked at the two with an ugly expression. He awkwardly held his wine glass, unsure whether to offer comfort or do something else. 0

Freya observed Jann's slightly pale face while maintaining her smile. 0

"Have you made up your mind, Lord Jann?" 0

As she spoke, that strange aura quickly receded from him. Jann's once aged face seemed to age even more as he stood there gloomily staring at Freya. 0

After a long pause, he finally nodded. 0

"Alright, I understand. However, Lady Freya, please remember that I am an Official Wizard of Starlight Tower. You wouldn't want to disrupt the harmonious relationship between our two organizations, would you?" 0

"Of course." Freya lightly clinked her glass against his with a smile. "Then please follow me; I prefer a quieter place. How about the balcony?" 0

Jann remained silent and walked directly toward the balcony with a sullen expression. 0

Freya glanced at the somewhat dazed Sindan. 0

"Hehe, Lord Sindan. You wouldn't mind, would you? After all, we will be colleagues in the future." 0

Under Freya's piercing blue gaze, Sindan felt a shiver run down his spine, raising goosebumps all over his body. 0

"Oh, of course. I still have some matters to attend to, so I'll send Lord Jann back later." 0

"Mm." 0

Freya gently nodded, watching Sindan leave quickly. 0

She then turned and walked towards the balcony. 0

Under the red sunset, the large balcony was bathed in a layer of red-golden light, making it look very beautiful. A few birds landed on the nearby red rooftops. 0

On the distant road, some late-arriving luxurious carriages were heading towards their designated location. 0

Away from the hustle and bustle of the ball, the surroundings seemed to become quiet and peaceful. 0

At this moment, Jann was standing at the edge of the balcony, squinting his eyes at the already set sun, lost in thought. 0

Freya quietly approached Jann, placing her wine glass on the round table in the middle of the balcony before sitting down on a nearby wicker chair. 0

Jann turned around and glanced at Freya with some apprehension. 0

"I wonder, Lady Freya, what you wish to discuss with me? If it's about academic knowledge, I believe Blood Eagle Territory is not inferior to our Starlight Tower." 0

"Hehe. It's certainly not about that," Freya said, pointing to another wicker chair with a relaxed tone. "Actually, I just wanted to ask you a few questions. I apologize for my earlier offense, and I have great respect for Starlight Tower." 0

Freya's words eased Jann's previously gloomy expression considerably. 0

He was merely a First-Level Liquid Wizard, and having sensed Freya's strange aura earlier was enough to indicate that her strength had already reached the Second Level. 0

The Second-Level Wizard is considered an ordinary elite in the entire Cloud City. Her statement towards Jann reflects Freya's genuine respect for him. 0

After a pause, he walked over to the rattan chair and sat down, then spoke. 0

"Alright, Lady Freya, please go ahead. If it doesn't involve any confidential matters of my Starlight Tower, I can answer your questions." 0

"Um." Freya glanced at the lively ball behind the balcony and a few guests who seemed to be approaching, furrowing her brows. She flicked her hand. 0

With a 'whoosh,' an azure halo enveloped the entrance of the balcony, forming a semi-transparent membrane. 0

The figures of the two behind this membrane became exceptionally blurry, and several people trying to approach were immediately blocked upon contact with the membrane. 0

Seeing their awkwardness, Freya nodded. 0

"Now we won't be disturbed." After a moment, she continued. "Actually, I brought you here to ask about some common knowledge regarding Hell World, such as its abilities, Hell Guardians, Underworld River, or other related topics." 0

"Oh?" Jann frowned. "Has Blood Eagle Territory also begun researching other worlds?" 0

"No, this is just something I personally want to know because I am very interested in Hell World," Freya replied with a smile. 0

"I see. Well then." Jann tapped his fingers on the table, thinking before he spoke. "Actually, these questions are generally known by organizations that have some research on Hell World; they are not great secrets. The power system of Hell World is quite different from our Wizarding World. We wizards use mental power to control Energy Particles as our source of strength, while the beings in Hell World use resentment and Death Qi as their means of attack. This is quite similar to the power system of Nobles. This kind of power is troublesome; before wizards reach Dawn Wizard level, they can ignore eighty percent of our attacks and disregard our defensive Force Fields. Moreover, there is significant mental pollution that can cause great harm to us wizards who primarily rely on mental power." 0

"Another mention of Dawn Wizard?" Hearing this level, Freya's brows furrowed slightly, her eyes flashing with a dim green light. "According to you, different worlds utilize different powers. Does that mean all of you in Starlight Tower are at the Dawn Wizard level when exploring other worlds?" 0

"Of course." Jann nodded helplessly. "This is the rule of the world. Haven't you noticed that there are no Wizard Organizations dedicated to exploring other worlds? This is the fundamental reason. Even with our current cutting-edge technology, we cannot solve this issue; not even Sky City or Crimson Tower can do so—unless it involves some families with Ancient Wizard Heritage like the Elk Wizard Family, which can avoid such awkward situations." 0

"Um? Ancient Wizard?" Freya raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?" 0

"Well, of course, the power of the Ancient Wizard is based on Bloodline. Their strength is a pursuit of biological physicality and empowerment. This kind of power is one of the most fundamental rules inherent in all worlds; no one can avoid the impact of natural forces. Even Elemental Entities or Spirits cannot escape it, especially under the special inheritance of some Ancient Beasts," Jann said, a hint of envy in his eyes, then he sighed lightly. 0

"However, the Ancient Wizard Heritage has been passed down very little to this day, and the extinction of Ancient Beasts has completely severed the Ancient Inheritance. Many prominent families that have descended from the Ancient Inheritance have thus declined." 0

"Yes, this can also be seen as a form of natural selection for survival of the fittest," Freya pretended to sigh as well, then she looked up and asked, "So, what do you know about the Underworld River and its guardians?" 0

"The Underworld River is fundamental to Hell World. Traces of the Underworld River can be found everywhere in Hell World, and it nurtures most Hell Creatures. Beings or souls that fall into Hell's Mouth will sink into the Underworld River, becoming food for hell and nurturing new life. The guardians are the beings that protect the Underworld River; these beings vary in strength. Almost every section of the river has a guardian. According to the Source of the Underworld River, it is the gate between life and death, a world origin called Reincarnation," Jann smiled and said. "Of course, this is just a legend; it's good to listen to, but so far even the Hell Creatures we cooperate with do not believe it." 0

"Oh, I think I understand," Freya nodded thoughtfully. 0

Seeing Freya, who might be a Second-Level Wizard, accept this so humbly, Jann's previous emotions gradually dissipated. 0

He thought for a moment and took out a Black Crystal from his waist pouch and placed it on the round table. 0

"This contains some knowledge about hell that I often record. I can lend it to you for a look. Actually, the contaminating nature of Hell World is too strong. Before you become a Dawn Wizard, I advise you not to set your sights on that world. When we Starlight Tower first made contact with it, over ten Official Wizards were completely contaminated by Hell World. Our current achievements are also largely thanks to those ten or so wizards' contributions in Hell World." (To be continued) 0
