Chapter Three Hundred Thirty-One:
The ravine was not deep but quite wide, measuring about twenty meters across, with fine traces along its edges that extended long into the desert.
"This trace looks like a gigantic creature passed through here slowly."
Freya frowned slightly. With the Bloodline inheritance from King Cobra, she could clearly sense the concentration of Bloodline or the aura of certain creatures.
At this moment, in her perception, it seemed as if a layer of thick blood covered the top of the ravine.
Within the blood, numerous fearful and ferocious grievances rolled about, trying to break free.
An extreme discomfort enveloped her heart.
Even from a distance, Freya did not want to confront a creature that exuded such a strong aura of resentment.
It seemed that under the influence of this aura, the dim sky over the desert also appeared somewhat darker, with an inexplicable atmosphere swirling above, constantly hovering.
After staring at the sky over the desert for a while, Freya shook her head slightly and withdrew her gaze.
"Forget it, let's check out that direction instead. This desert feels oddly terrifying; it must be the territory or hunting ground of some powerful Hell Creature."
Having made up her mind, she turned and left a mark on the path leading to the Wizarding World at Hell's Mouth, then controlled her form to fly towards the left side of Underworld River.
With her speed, she quickly swept past the area of Underworld River and soon arrived at the location of the black mountains.
"Thud."
Freya slowly descended at the foot of the mountain, which was a desolate area resembling a Gobi desert. In front of her was a vast, pitch-black forest, while behind her was the rumbling Underworld River.
The ground was extremely hard, marked by intersecting cracks in the earth. Shadows flickered beneath the fissures, as if some kind of insect resided within.
Glancing around, Freya crouched down to pick up a black clod of earth from the ground and sniffed it with her nose.
A faint scent of decaying Death Qi mixed with a hint of blood could be detected, but there wasn't much powerful aura beyond that.
"This area should be more normal than that desert."
Casually crushing the black clod in her hand, Freya stood up and walked toward the dark mountain forest.
She had no intention of activating her aura; although its range was controllable, it would create too much commotion and lead to unnecessary trouble.
Her current goal was mainly to scout for nearby hunting areas suitable for Bloodline supply points or intelligent life forms from Hell.
Thus, everything was prioritized for caution and safety.
Two minutes later, Freya stepped into the black forest.
Just a few steps into the forest, she immediately felt the temperature drop sharply. Even wearing a white robe inscribed with temperature-regulating runes was not enough to fend off the chill. Cold winds rushed in through her collar and sleeves, gently pulling at her robe. Freya furrowed her brow and raised her head to scan her surroundings in the forest.
The black trees were dense and tightly packed, with needle-like black leaves on top that resembled regular Pine trees except for their color.
Aside from these black trees, there were traces of activity left by creatures, and everything appeared remarkably normal.
Freya walked up to a tree and gently touched the bark, feeling the rough texture against her palm.
"The temperature here is probably already below zero degrees. Even the temperature-regulating runes can't counteract the Collapse effect. I wonder how the creatures here survive."
Although King Cobra was powerful, it belonged to the swamp tears species and was not well adapted to this 'chilly' environment.
She exhaled a puff of white breath and then pulled out a red stone from her waist pouch.
The surface of the stone had faint golden cracks, as if molten gold was surging inside.
Freya carefully pinched a bit from the edge of the stone and quickly ground it into powder.
"Huh."
A bright flame suddenly erupted in her hand, expanding to a height of five or six meters in just a few seconds.
After putting the remaining red stone back into her waist pouch, Freya immediately recited a spell phrase.
Red runes began to burn in her palm, forcefully suppressing the rising flames.
Before long, the flames finally formed a crystal glowing with a red halo in Freya's hand.
Waves of heat radiated from the crystal, barely dispelling the surrounding chill.
The heat waves blew through Freya's golden hair. Feeling its warmth, she revealed a satisfied expression.
"The crystal formed from Lava Stone Powder should be about right."
She paused for a moment and slowly pressed the Crystal against the temperature-regulating rune in her white robe.
With a soft 'hiss', the two began to merge, and Freya immediately felt warmth enveloping her.
After completing this, she casually glanced around, and suddenly, Freya's pupils constricted slightly.
Unbeknownst to her, in the distance, dark shadows were slowly moving toward her from deep within the forest.
These shadows were roughly the size of ordinary humans and moved very slowly, but strangely, Freya sensed no presence of these shadows at all.
"Are they Hell Creatures or something?"
Narrowing her eyes, Freya extended her hand and lightly flicked it.
With a 'whoosh', several orange flames shot out from her fingertips.
The flames were small and seemed like they would be blown away by the wind in no time, but the faint light they emitted was enough for her to see into the dark forest.
As the flames flew above the shadows, Freya finally got a clear look at their appearance, which left her momentarily stunned.
The shadows resembled several creatures akin to snails; their brown shells spiraled in a manner similar to ordinary snails. However, beneath the snail shells were bizarre figures that appeared to be crawling humans.
These strange humans were both male and female, with gray-brown skin completely naked, lacking arms and legs, moving with their abdomens.
Their skin looked very rough, covered in brown slimy particles that left behind white trails as they crawled along.
The light of the flames seemed to frighten these disgusting creatures, as they opened their big mouths to reveal interlaced black sharp teeth, hissing warnings at the fire.
Seeing the reaction of this group of strange alien creatures, Freya bent down to pick up some rubble from the ground and held it in her hand.
"Just ordinary hell creatures? They look truly repulsive, seeming to have the intelligence of mere beasts."
She narrowed her eyes slightly and aimed the rubble in her hand directly at those creatures before throwing it.
Whoosh!
A loud sound of air being sliced through echoed in the forest.
Crack!
The rubble struck those creatures with Freya's terrifying power, instantly piercing through them all.
Hiss...
Dark red blood oozed from the shattered snail shells, yet these creatures were still not dead, writhing on the ground and opening their mouths to emit mournful cries.
"Life is truly resilient, similar to ordinary demonized creatures. This seems to be just an ordinary beast; it appears that the overall strength of beings in Hell World is indeed much greater than that in Wizarding World."
After a pause, Freya pointed to the ground, and countless soil and tree roots suddenly gathered together, quickly forming a black cross sword.
Gripping the cross sword in her hand, she then approached the few strange creatures that were still alive.
Walking up to a snail that appeared to have a feminine face, Freya's cross sword suddenly flashed, and the blade plunged directly into its head.
Large amounts of blood flowed down from the jaw of Blade, quickly forming a circular pool of blood.
At this moment, the struggling figure finally came to a halt, completely still.
Then, Freya expressionlessly dealt with all these creatures before moving forward again.
Half an hour later.
As Freya strolled through the forest, she effortlessly stabbed her Cross Sword into a bug covered in countless black limbs.
The bug's face-like organ on top suddenly opened its Big Mouth and let out an invisible sound wave directed at Freya.
A faint dizziness washed over Freya, causing her to furrow her brow slightly as she suddenly twisted the Cross Sword in her hand.
With a tearing sound, the bug, which was as large as a human, instantly turned into piles of black fragments scattered around.
With a swift motion, Freya flicked off the green liquid from the Cross Sword and turned around to see a large number of shattered bodies of these bugs behind her.
"Are all the creatures in this forest of the ordinary type? It seems there isn't even one decent creature. If they are all like this, then entering this place is completely meaningless."
After casually exploring for half an hour, Freya had no idea how many Hell Creatures she had killed; there were all sorts of them. Although it was an eye-opening experience, it provided no help at all.
The concentration of Bloodline within these creatures was even weaker than that of the Demonized Creatures in the Wizarding World, not even qualifying for her to absorb.
Freya looked at the increasingly dark forest with some disappointment.
"Should I delve deeper, or perhaps connect to the Underworld River, or that strange Golden Sand Desert?"
Honestly, she would rather engage with the Revenant Guardian than enter that Golden Sand Desert.
The Death Qi in that desert was too thick with resentment; just observing it from a distance made Freya feel uncomfortable. If she were to actually enter, who knows what dangers might await her.
As she hesitated, a strong scent of Bloodline wafted towards Freya's nose from afar.
She slightly raised her head. A green light flickered in Freya's eyes as she gently sniffed the air.
"Oh? Have I finally encountered a creature with a rich Bloodline? I hope it's not too disappointing!"
After pausing for a moment, a layer of fine white mist enveloped her, and then Freya's figure suddenly vanished.
Low above the ground, dark trees rushed past beneath her as Freya transformed into a white shadow, flying toward that direction.
Before long, under Freya's rapid flight, the once dense forest became sparse, and the sound of trickling water reached her ears.
Suddenly, Freya's green Slit Pupils narrowed sharply.
"I can sense it. It's right there!"
In her line of sight, in an open area beside a slender black creek, a humanoid creature wrapped in black bandages was crouched on the ground, tearing at something and making unsettling crunching sounds.
The splattering red blood stained the surrounding area a deep crimson.
Scattered on the ground were various limbs and entrails of different creatures, creating an exceptionally gruesome scene.
In Freya's perception, the dense Bloodline Aura emanated from that creature.
Controlling her form to hover in the air, she looked down at the bloody scene below with an interested expression.
"This shouldn't be an ordinary Hell Creature."
After a pause, Freya raised the Cross Sword in her hand and suddenly flicked it, causing the Cross Sword to vanish from her grasp.
A Black Light flashed through the air.
Bang!!
With a dull sound, the Cross Sword plunged directly into the creature's back, its immense force pinning the creature to the ground like a fly stuck with a needle.
"Roar!!!!"
As if enraged by the sudden attack, the pinned creature raised its head and roared at the airborne Freya.
The creature's head was also wrapped in bandages, with only its spiky Big Mouth exposed.
As it roared, small black particles began to rise from its body, and soon its pinned form started to fade away.
Before long, it re-materialized in another location.
Seeing this phenomenon, Freya frowned slightly.
"Eh? This ability seems reminiscent of a phasing potion. Perfect, I should capture it for research."
As the Strange Creature escaped from Cross Sword, Zhang Big Mouth greedily turned its head towards Freya, suddenly arching its back and rising up.
With a hissing sound, a pair of enormous black wings abruptly unfolded behind it.
The wings appeared to be made of countless tattered bandages.
However, as the creature forcefully pushed off the ground, it actually took flight, and surprisingly, it was quite fast.
Freya, suspended in the air, calmly watched the Strange Creature charging towards her. She swiftly extended her right hand, and a green glow flashed in her palm.
Suddenly, a green vortex appeared and began to spin in front of her.
Following that, the massive head of King Cobra shot out.
Unsurprisingly, the strange creature dove straight into King Cobra's mouth.
But in the next moment, small black particles flowed out from between King Cobra's fangs, soon reassembling into the bizarre Bandage Creature.
As soon as the creature formed, it lunged at Freya again, its hands gleaming with metallic spikes that looked extremely sharp.
"Hmm? It can escape like this?"
Furrowing her brow, Freya gently snapped her fingers.
A large mass of rain clouds quickly gathered in the sky, and then Freya reached out her hand and struck at the creature from afar.
A huge translucent Giant Hand composed of countless clouds and moisture swept towards it.
"Bang!!!"
With a muffled sound, the creature exploded into countless tiny particles that scattered in all directions. However, before long, it charged at Freya from another direction.
"The undead nature of necromantic creatures, could this be a Hell Creature? Then how about this?"
Facing the creature that continued to charge at her, Freya's eyes flashed with a hint of ruthlessness as she drew a black long dagger from her waist. Without even looking, she slashed out.
The slender dagger struck fiercely on the creature's head, and under Freya's immense strength, the creature was split in two.
