Chapter Three Hundred Thirty-Two:
Watching the scattered Black Particles, Freya extended her right hand.
A powerful attraction erupted from her hand.
Under the influence of this force, the Black Particles slowly flew toward her right hand.
"Since conventional attacks can't harm you, I'll concentrate the absorption aura into a single point. Let's see if you can escape now!"
A deep green light flashed in Freya's eyes.
Although the Black Particles seemed to want to distance themselves from her, they were still drawn toward her right hand by the pulling force of the absorption aura.
'Sizzle.'
With a faint sound, the foremost Black Particle suddenly transformed into a large burst of red blood upon contact with Freya's right hand, quickly seeping into the King Cobra Mark on her palm.
This situation caused Freya to pause slightly, then reveal a hint of joy.
Because in her perception, the Bloodline of King Cobra surged significantly and continued to grow at an even faster pace.
"This concentration of Bloodline Power is simply amazing!!"
Freya squinted her eyes in delight, gently inhaling as a wisp of red smoke entered her nostrils.
The tips of her long golden hair were now rapidly being covered by a shade of green, while the length of her hair began to grow wildly.
In just a few seconds, it had already reached her legs.
The green hair floated gently around her like a living entity, transforming Freya's previously cold demeanor into something more enchanting.
"Hiss."
Freya slowly opened her eyes, which had completely turned a vibrant emerald green, resembling translucent green crystals that emitted a faint green mist.
She glanced down at the green hair behind her. Suddenly, she seemed to involuntarily lift her head.
Her crystal-like green eyes widened, and a rising aura emanated from within her.
"Crack."
With a crisp sound, a thin green line slowly split open on Freya's forehead, and a soft green light spilled out from the crack, resembling a third eye.
However, just as Freya was about to fully open that eye in the center,
Suddenly, the farthest piece of Black Particle she had absorbed quickly condensed together, forming a pitch-black Claw.
The tip of the Claw gleamed with a metallic sheen, with wisps of black smoke rising from its point.
As soon as that eerie black claw formed, it lunged directly toward Freya's face.
"Sizzle!!"
The air seemed to be violently torn apart by this force, leaving five distinct Black Marks.
"Crack!"
Like a shattered piece of green glass, it suddenly broke in front of Freya's face, causing her to freeze in surprise.
The previously chaotic transformation came to an abrupt halt during her moment of distraction. The crack on her forehead closed up again, and her crystal-like eyes quickly faded, revealing the green Slit Pupils underneath.
"What is this?"
She looked up at her arm, where a large amount of Black Particles that had been absorbed were rapidly dispersing from the King Cobra Mark.
It was like a long trail of Black Smoke quickly fleeing into the distance.
"No!!!"
Feeling the rapid dilution of the Royal Serpent Bloodline, Freya's expression turned cold. She suddenly reached out her hand.
In an invisible manner, a green serpent shadow opened its Big Mouth and bit down hard on the end of the Black Smoke. The captured Black Particle then flew directly into her right hand.
However, in the end, this effort only managed to reclaim a small amount.
Freya's eyes returned to a vibrant green, but it was still far from the crystalline clarity she had before.
In the distance, the wisps of Black Particles were fleeing rapidly. At the forefront was a Biological Skull wrapped in bandages, sporting a Big Mouth filled with Fangs, letting out piercing howls like a wounded beast.
"Damn it, come back to me!!"
Freya watched the direction in which the creature fled and suddenly stomped her foot, causing a large mass of gray rain clouds to quickly surround her.
Then her figure transformed into a slender gray line, racing toward that direction.
Wherever she passed, fine raindrops swiftly fell, nourishing the pitch-black land of Death Qi.
Although Freya did not know what kind of creature it was, she had not anticipated such a powerful change from absorbing just half of its Bloodline.
Freya estimated that if she had ten of these creatures and spent half a year on transformation and fusion, she would have a hundred percent confidence in condensing the first form.
The level of this Bloodline Power was comparable to that of the peak period of King Cobra.
It would significantly shorten Freya's progress in her inheritance.
"No matter what, you can't escape!!"
Freya's voice was cold as she crazily pursued.
Half an hour later, above the seemingly endless Black Mountains, a distinct gray rain cloud trailed a long cloud tail, tightly hanging behind the dark smoke ahead.
At the end of this smoke, black particles occasionally fell and were swallowed by the gray rain cloud behind.
Only then did the speed of the gray cloud slow down slightly, allowing the black smoke to breathe with greater speed as it escaped.
Surrounded by rain clouds, Freya's eyes transformed back into a crystalline state, and an exceptionally terrifying aura rose from her.
She looked at the black particles in her hand being absorbed into her right hand, a green light flickering on her forehead as Freya revealed a faint cold smile.
"Do you really want to delay being consumed in this way?"
Her figure paused for a moment, and the green hair that reached down to her legs slightly floated up, emitting a faint green glow.
The already dense rain clouds suddenly thickened once more.
In the dim sky, a giant serpent formed from gray clouds slowly floated above.
The serpent's body stretched for hundreds of meters, casting a shadow over the ground, while a membrane formed by the rain clouds gradually opened around it.
Then, the Cloud Serpent shot towards the fleeing black smoke at an astonishing speed.
Just as the giant mouth of the Cloud Serpent was about to swallow the black smoke, the smoke abruptly dropped in altitude.
With a whoosh, it directly plunged into the Dark Forest below, transforming back into a bandaged creature.
Freya slowly flew out from atop the Cloud Serpent, frowning as she looked down at the figure in the forest.
"Giving up aerial advantage to hide in the forest, huh!"
She snorted coldly and directed the Cloud Serpent towards that patch of forest.
With a thud!
The Cloud Serpent disintegrated upon touching the ground, turning into a large amount of grayish-white mist that spread around.
Freya's figure gradually descended to the ground. Beneath her feet, the soil made up of decayed leaves and dark earth immediately became soft, resembling a vast swamp.
A special sensation emerged from the gray mist she had gathered, allowing her to clearly feel even what lay beneath her feet.
Freya narrowed her crystalline green eyes. Suddenly, she turned her gaze to the right and stepped steadily across the swamp.
About five minutes later, a black cave that seemed to be naturally formed from rock appeared before her.
Standing at the cave entrance, Freya gently sniffed the air, detecting a rich Bloodline Aura emanating from within. Various biological limbs were scattered in front of the cave.
Most of these limbs were severely mutilated, as if they had been gnawed on by some creature, leaving only a bit of flesh behind.
Some even looked fresh.
Recalling the greedy eating habits of the creature she had encountered earlier, Freya raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, could this be the creature's lair?"
The cave was pitch black inside, with a cool breeze blowing out and producing a low, eerie sound that felt somewhat ominous.
However, regarding such a scene, Freya merely paused for a moment before stepping inside.
She lightly snapped her fingers in the cave. Two orange flames immediately floated beside her, illuminating the surrounding stone walls.
The ordinary black stone walls were covered with numerous small holes; however, after a simple test by Freya, it was clear that these holed walls were exceptionally sturdy and posed no risk of collapsing.
After walking for about ten minutes, the originally straight cave began to branch out into multiple paths, each leading to unknown directions.
Freya halted her steps at these large openings.
She frowned, controlling the flames to sweep over the openings while lightly sniffing the residual Bloodline Aura in the air.
"Strange, that guy's aura has disappeared? Did he use some special method to hide?"
As she speculated, she suddenly noticed a lot of white bones left in front of a cave about her height under the illumination of the flames.
These bones were oddly shaped, appearing to be remnants mixed from various strange creatures.
As she casually scanned these bones, just when Freya intended to randomly find an entrance, a fragment of bone caught her attention.
"Eh, this..."
In her line of sight, there was a skull resembling that of a rodent, the bone about the size of a fist, with slightly protruding teeth. However, the sharp canine teeth were even larger than its skull, resembling a miniature saber-toothed tiger.
"Isn't this the head of a Glowing Squirrel? How did it end up here?"
The Glowing Squirrel is a relatively weak Demonized Creature in the Wizarding World. Besides being able to emit white fluorescence to attract predators, it possesses an extremely strong reproductive ability, but it has no other uses.
Yet, the remains of this ordinary Wizarding World creature had bizarrely appeared in Hell World, which puzzled Freya.
She approached the pile of white bones and flipped through them slightly, discovering that besides the Glowing Squirrel, there were also some other Native Creatures from the Wizarding World.
"Strange?"
Picking up what looked like a gorilla skull, Freya straightened up and gazed into the dark opening.
"Could it be that a Wizard Organization has been here, using these weak creatures to probe Hell World? But it seems like they abandoned it?"
Looking at the skull in her hand, Freya pondered for a moment as a strange black rune slowly emerged in her palm.
"Although my expertise isn't in the Shadow System, I might still be able to ask something."
As she muttered to herself, she suddenly slammed the dark rune onto the skull.
A faint sound echoed.
The originally pale skull began to shimmer with black shadows, gradually covered by patches of grayish-brown flesh, followed by veins, and finally fur.
In just a minute, the gorilla's skull seemed to regain its former appearance, eerily held in Freya's hands.
Muttering incantations in fragments, Freya looked down at the skull and slowly spoke in her uniquely hoarse voice.
"Tell me, what did you see here just now?"
After her soothing tone faded, the long-dead gorilla suddenly opened its pitch-black eyes.
It stared intently at Freya's face, appearing both bizarre and terrifying.
The dark eyes reflected Freya's pale face, creating a somewhat distorted and unreal image.
Seeing her own face mirrored in those eyes, Freya frowned. She reached to her waist and took out a piece of black stone, pressing it directly onto the center of the gorilla's head.
With a hissing sound, the stone gradually melted into the gorilla's skull. Then Freya spoke again in that same tone.
"Dead souls, tell me the secrets you know without reservation."
This time, the gorilla's eyes suddenly shifted, and a bizarre, chilling image abruptly appeared in Freya's mind.
It was an intersection of caves, with two torches burning on either side of the stone walls.
Suddenly, a black figure slowly emerged from one of the tunnels and walked into the intersection.
Behind the shadow trailed countless long black chains, clanking and dragging along as it moved.
At the end of those chains were various Strange Creatures, being dragged along the ground, leaving deep dark red streaks of blood.
The light from the torches cast a long shadow of the figure, creating a chilling sense of dread.
Just as Freya widened her eyes to see what this shadow was, it suddenly turned around.
A massive face seemed to press right in front of Freya, with a pair of Crimson eyes staring at her with greedy malice.
Instantly, Freya's hair stood on end, and a layer of goosebumps erupted along her back.
With a soft sound, Freya snapped back to reality, gasping for air with a pale face.
The gorilla's head in her hand still looked like a skull, as if the scene she had just witnessed was merely an illusion.
Throwing away the skull in her hand, Freya clutched her head.
A sharp, stabbing pain came from that direction.
"What the hell was that just now? Was it also a Hell Creature?"
She looked at the large scattered bones on the ground with some trepidation, as if there had been a pool of blood there before.
The intertwining caves ahead seemed to become increasingly eerie and unpredictable.
Just as Freya was contemplating whether to pursue or not, a shadow the size of a human head suddenly emerged from one of the caves, darting right past Freya.
That shadow was the strange head of the Bandage Creature she had been chasing all along. (To be continued)
