Chapter Three Hundred Seventy-Six:
A large downpour of blood rain accompanied by the howls of the Abyssal Hound echoed from the sky.
The blood of these Abyssal Hellhounds seemed to have a strong corrosive effect, sizzling as it dripped onto the ground.
Before long, small crimson flames ignited, turning the entire sandy area into a shade of Crimson, resembling a true abyss.
On the ground, the Black-Robed Wizard who summoned these Abyssal Hellhounds had a layer of twisted Red Patterns spreading across his face, his malicious gaze fixed on the red figure that occasionally flickered in the air.
Beneath his feet, a faint red halo shimmered, revealing the head of an Abyssal Hound with curved horns.
He grinned and extended his long, forked tongue like a snake to lick his lips.
"My carefully nurtured treasures, do you really think you have this much ability, foolish Human Wizard, stupid Human Wizard, heh heh."
Boom!!
A loud muffled sound erupted as a massive cloud of blood mist exploded in the air.
Within the blood mist, a red figure suddenly appeared; Freya hovered in midair, her expression cold as she gazed at the scene in the distance.
There, various dismembered limbs of Abyssal Hellhounds floated in the air, their scattered internal organs and blood vessels writhing rapidly, as if those Abyssal Hounds she had dismembered were showing signs of merging and recovery.
"This level of vitality," Freya sensed that it might be somewhat troublesome.
Although these Abyssal Hounds were at most comparable to a peak-level first-tier wizard specializing in physical strength, their various resistances were terrifyingly strong and they possessed an almost undying recovery ability, especially in terms of their numbers.
Thirteen Demon Hounds rushed forward to bite, and with her speed, if it were any Third-Rank Wizard, they would have been overwhelmed and unable to escape even in elemental form.
The figure in the black robe seemed to notice Freya's predicament and revealed a mocking smile. "Hehe, give up! No one who has killed us has escaped death! You are no exception!!"
"Your people!?" Freya casually discarded the Black Cross Sword in her hand, narrowing her eyes. "What organization are you, and why are you attacking my Blood Eagle Territory? Don't you fear breaking the Wizard Treaty of Cloud City?"
"I'll tell you that once you're dead, how about that?" The figure in black quietly took out a Red Disk, a blood-red glow flashing briefly within the Token. "Hehe!"
Suddenly, Freya felt a violent and bloody aura rush towards her.
Her gaze sharpened. She quickly reached for a golden ram head sculpture at her waist and crushed it fiercely.
‘Boom!!!’
A strong tremor suddenly emanated from both sides of her, as a transparent red snarling dog head appeared in mid-air, opening its Big Mouth to bite at Freya's sides.
However, the sharp canine teeth could only get within half a meter of Freya before they could not penetrate further, as an elusive golden ram head enveloped her. Meanwhile, the Azure Wind spun wildly around Freya.
The sharp fangs emitted a grating sound as they ground against each other, splattering large patches of golden light.
Freya's expression darkened as she felt the tightening pressure around her.
This ram head was a high-level Cursed Item she had crafted using various precious resources; its defensive power was even stronger than that of a Magic Weapon. Yet now, she sensed signs of imminent collapse.
"This guy," a glint of killing intent appeared in Freya's eyes. "If that's the case, then I can only see what I can find from your soul!"
The previously swirling Azure Wind Flow around her suddenly contracted, and then Freya extended her palm and slowly pressed down.
Under her movement, the sky suddenly darkened, and countless dark blue winds quickly formed a gigantic dark blue hand as Freya reached out.
The shadow cast by the Giant Hand had an ominous feeling, as if it were blocking the sun.
The figure in the black robe felt a sudden darkness enveloping him. Then, an immense force descended upon him.
'Crash!!'
The entire sandy ground seemed to sink significantly.
As the black robe was crushed by the storm of the Giant Hand, the transparent dog head that had been gnawing behind Freya quickly disappeared.
'Hiss'
The storm Giant Hand then exploded, transforming into pure Wind Element Particles that rapidly dissipated.
The sandy ground was filled with chaotic currents from the collapse of the storm Giant Hand, flying outward like countless invisible Sharp Blades.
At this moment, there was only a massive handprint left in the sand, everything else had vanished completely, and in the center of the palm was a mass of indistinct Crimson flesh.
Freya looked coldly at that puddle of flesh.
"My full-force storm Giant Hand is equivalent to a casual strike from a Dawn Wizard. Since you are at the Third Peak, can you escape?"
She suddenly froze; in Freya's line of sight, that mass of sticky flesh began to wriggle rapidly.
Before long, a head with pitch-black horns and blood-red skin emerged from the flesh.
The mouth of the creature protruded, revealing sharp teeth like a dog, with only its white, pupil-less eyes hinting at some resemblance to the figure in the black robe.
Blood-red flames ignited around it, carrying a strong scent of sulfur and chaos.
"This aura, could it be..." Freya furrowed her brow.
Suddenly, a sharp chill surged from behind. Freya spun around, but before she could focus her gaze, a Crimson Shadow flashed past.
'Bang!!!'
It felt as if a train had collided head-on; Freya's body was instantly sent flying and crashed heavily into the ground.
'Splat!!!'
A dark hole appeared on the ground.
Inside the hole, Freya's mind was hazy, her golden, translucent sheep's wool covered in fine cracks. Then with a hiss, it vanished in an instant.
In the air, a giant Abyssal Hellhound stood, its body towering several dozen meters high, with more than ten dog heads crowded together as it slowly retracted its Claws.
The numerous dog heads were attached to one body, occasionally emitting fierce whines, and blood-red flames flickered from their gaping mouths, looking both grotesque and ferocious.
"Damn Human Wizard!!" The figure in the black robe revealed a sinister face as it shed its human appearance. Dragging its somewhat damaged body to the edge of the large hole, it declared, "Let you experience the fiery treatment of the Abyss!"
At its command, the massive creature composed of thirteen Abyssal Hellhounds suddenly lunged toward the ground.
One of the foremost dog heads swiftly pulled Freya out from the hole.
"Bang!!"
The black giant door that had previously dissipated behind the Abyssal Hellhound reappeared.
As Sora pulled on both sides, the door slowly creaked open with a 'creak, creak' sound.
Inside was a blood-red void and charred earth, with waves of intense chaos and madness emanating from within the door.
The massive Abyssal Hellhound howled as it retreated into the doorway.
As the Abyssal Hellhound completely entered, the stone door began to close slowly.
The figure in the black robe glared fiercely at Freya's body as it was completely engulfed by the blood-red ground.
"Clang!!"
Once the stone door was fully closed, he withdrew his gaze and took out a fiery red human skull.
"Hiss." After a faint rustling sound, he calmed his chaotic emotions.
"This is the Demon Hound Master. The target has been eliminated, but it was significantly stronger than the data indicated. My identity may have been exposed; I am now requesting to withdraw from the Wizarding World."
"The request from the Demon Hound Master has been approved. Withdrawal will be permitted in three days."
After receiving the desired information, he put away the skull and glanced at the tightly shut door. Just as he was about to leave, a faint muffled sound came from behind the door.
"Mm?"
The muffled sound made him pause slightly, as if something had collided against the door.
Before he could regain his composure, a stronger muffled sound came from behind the door.
'Bang!!!'
The force of this impact was immense, causing the stone door to tremble violently.
"What??"
Seeing the stone door shake, the figure in the black robe revealed a hint of shock in his eyes.
'Boom!!'
With the third impact, a flash appeared in the middle of the stone door, and a narrow gap suddenly burst open.
Through the gap, he clearly saw a massive green figure thrashing about rapidly, and behind that figure was an endless swarm of Abyssal Hellhounds.
"Roar!!"
A desolate and ancient roar mixed with countless low, mournful wails came through the gap.
"Boom!!!"
'Crash!'
This time, a deep crack rapidly split open from the stone gate.
"What kind of monster is this!?"
The figure in the black robe widened his eyes, staring in shock at the fissure in the stone gate, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
Immediately, his expression twisted as he took out the skull and shouted.
"Damn it! Headquarters!! The situation has changed! I—"
Boom!
Before he could finish his sentence, the stone gate exploded with a thunderous roar.
From behind the shattered door, a massive figure suddenly surged forth into the blood-red sky.
Emerald green scales shimmered with a faint glow, and the howling wind carried immense white clouds, enveloping the sandy ground in a layer of white mist.
A large area of Dark Gray Clouds quickly gathered, causing the entire region to plunge into darkness.
Swish!
For a full minute, the last trace of green shadow finally broke free from the ruined stone gate.
Behind the door lay remnants of Abyssal Hellhound flesh and some writhing chunks of meat.
The figure in the black robe stared blankly into space, while the skull in his hand emitted occasional crackling sounds in response.
In the dark, oppressive clouds, a massive green figure occasionally emerged, as a snake head several hundred meters long slowly poked out from the shadows. The soulless green eyes of the Green Serpent gazed down at the tiny figures below, as if observing mere mosquitoes or flies.
The stark difference in size left the cloaked figure's mind blank, overwhelmed by a powerful pressure that came from a higher level of existence, extinguishing any thoughts of resistance.
His face, covered in cold sweat, trembled slightly as he moved his fingers toward the head in his hands. His voice came out hoarse.
"I..."
Suddenly, a massive green beam of light shot down from above, engulfing him completely in an instant.
Within the beam, his body rapidly disintegrated, along with the shattered door behind him; everything was consumed by the green light.
On the ground, faint traces of green crystals began to appear, followed by an explosion of greenery as countless plants grew rapidly. Trees shot up from the earth like miracles of life.
The beam lasted only two seconds before vanishing.
At that moment, in the yellow sand, an oasis filled with lush green vegetation appeared abruptly, looking very strange against its surroundings.
The pitch-black clouds in the sky dispersed as the enormous Snake Head slowly retreated back into the clouds after completing its task.
Before long, a tattered Robe descended from the sky, revealing Freya with a grim expression as she landed in the oasis she had created.
Her gaze swept over the area where the events had just unfolded. She then took out a black Sphere from her waist and murmured an incantation.
The Sphere emitted a faint White Light.
In the air, strands of red mist seemed to be quickly drawn together by the white light, gathering into the Sphere.
Three minutes later, the black Sphere had completely turned red.
In the center of the Sphere, a vague shadow of a dog's head could be seen, curled up with its eyes closed inside.
Holding the Sphere, Freya looked complexly at the remnants of the black-robed man's soul.
"This incident actually involves the Abyss World. Since I was attacked, then other mid-level or higher-ups from other Wizard Organizations might also be in danger."
Several pieces of information flashed quickly through her mind. Freya did not linger and flew into the air again.
If it were just conflicts between organizations within the Wizarding World, it wouldn't be much. However, once it involved forces from other worlds, the nature of the situation changed entirely.
It should be noted that the Wizarding World itself can also be an aggressive world, developing and exploiting other worlds in this manner.
However, aside from aggression, the Wizarding World also maintains some peaceful trading relationships with other worlds.
But the Abyss World is different; that world can represent an aggressive world. Its World Power is chaotic and filled with slaughter, lacking any semblance of order. More importantly, the Abyss World consists of multiple overlapping layers, each layer being an independent existence with varying strengths. The weaker ones are similar to the Lower World, while those at higher levels possess powers that may even surpass those of the Wizarding World.
This time, it was unclear which layer of the Abyss World had attacked. Judging by the Abyssal Hellhound summoned by the black-robed man, Freya speculated that it could not possibly be a low-level creature; rather, it resembled beings from a mid-level or Higher World.
"The attack on the Resource Point and actions targeting elite wizards from Wizard Organizations cannot be ignored by Sky City either."
While flying, Freya felt an inexplicable sense of foreboding; this was a special premonition brought about by her first form condensation.
It was akin to the vague prophecy technique used by Shadow System wizards.
If it weren't for her own King Cobra Legacy, she would have likely been completely devoured by countless Abyssal Hellhounds after being dragged into that Abyss World.
Moreover, once a soul dies in another world, it is impossible to transmit any information.
Five hours later.
Freya, flying at full speed, saw the massive city of the Blood Eagle Territory Headquarters appear in her line of sight.
However, before she could fly in, several wizards from the Crimson Eagle Guard Unit, dressed in Red Robes, flew up into the air.
"Who dares to fly here without permission!?" (To be continued.)
