Chapter Three Hundred Ninety-Nine:
Silently listening to Seth's words.
After a long while, Freya slowly spoke up.
"You really don't need to do this. Most of the things in our world are still in the exploratory stage, and some of them can't even be explained by existing concepts. Although the organization has started to consolidate now, neither the resources nor anything else can compare to those of other worlds."
"Heh, I certainly understand these principles," Seth said with a bitter smile. "However, the reason I submitted my application is not only due to my own will but also because of my family behind me."
Although the Blood Eagle Territory is not based on family like other Wizard Organizations, it is entangled with various forces. To establish a foothold in the Blood Eagle Territory and seek benefits, sometimes personal sacrifices are necessary in addition to pursuing powerful combat strength.
Moreover, Seth's resolute words might indicate that he has discovered something in other worlds.
Gazing into Seth's brown eyes, Freya paused for a moment and nodded. "Alright, since you feel that way, I won't persuade you any further."
"Mm." Seeing Freya nod, Seth revealed a faint smile. "Although our family is a branch of the elders, there are still too few who have achieved anything. You are the most promising one I have ever seen. If you were to become Deputy Director with your status, our family's position would be more secure. So can you agree to help me, my friend?"
"Deputy Director, huh?" Freya rubbed her forehead.
The precious resources of the Blood Eagle Territory hold no real importance for her. Understanding part of the World Rule, she had already surpassed many research achievements within Cloud City.
At this moment, she wasn't even certain about her own strength.
The aura of King Cobra had gradually rooted itself in her soul level, and as her understanding of the World Rule deepened, her power grew at an astonishing rate.
Sometimes, Freya vaguely felt that when she reached Second Form, perhaps the entire vast Cloud City would be enveloped by her power.
Thus, the position of Deputy Director in the Blood Eagle Territory held no significance for her.
The only reason she remained here was that it was the place she was most familiar with.
Suddenly, Freya seemed to think of something. She lifted her head and spoke.
"By the way, do you know where the Meditation Method we are practicing now comes from? Did the wizards really discover this mental and spiritual training on their own?"
"The origin of the Meditation Method?" Seth seemed puzzled by Freya's question. However, he furrowed his brow, thought for a moment, and then replied.
"This question actually has many answers. Some believe that it was created after ancient wars to prevent one's power from becoming uncontrollable, a method to restrain strength known as the Secret Art. Subsequently, through various improvements by the wizards of that time, a new path of power was gradually explored. Other wizards advocate another theory, suggesting that these Meditation Methods are products derived from imitating the unique spiritual fluctuations of powerful beings from other worlds. Aside from these two more credible theories, the rest are unfounded. After all, in that chaotic era, too many things appeared and disappeared, and the history of that time is also vague and difficult to investigate."
The era Seth referred to was after the great war when the entire Wizarding World’s World Barrier was severely damaged.
Various powerful Otherworldly Creatures could traverse freely without any hindrance, and the depletion of World Power offered no resistance against these Alien Creatures. This led to the formation of various non-human realms or mysterious zones.
That era lasted for a long time until some wizards had recovered slightly from the devastation of the war.
From then on, the age of Ancient Wizards gradually began to fade from the world stage, while Modern Wizards began to rise.
After quietly listening to Seth's account, Freya pondered for a moment and then nodded.
"Alright, I understand. I will consider the position of Deputy Director. However, with so many competitors, if I don't succeed, don't blame me."
"Of course." Seeing Freya agree, Seth smiled. "Don't worry; my family and I have already discussed it. If you agree, we will provide full support. Although our family has declined somewhat in recent years, we still have some influence internally."
"Okay, you can arrange it." Freya replied lightly with a smile.
"Well then, since you've agreed, I'll go back and make arrangements. See you in a few days."
"Alright."
Seth turned around and hurriedly walked out of the greenhouse.
Once he had completely left, Freya gently waved her hand in the air.
'Pfft.'
A calm Azure Wind Flow gathered in her hands, slowly coalescing into the shape of a thick, translucent book.
The cover of the book featured a massive Azure Bird with its wings spread wide, its red eyes staring at her as if alive.
In her mind, she seemed to faintly hear a special sound of wind.
"Every world has its unique power system. The power of one world may have no effect in another. Except for some special invading worlds, this power system of wizards can actually function in other worlds once it reaches Dawn Level. Perhaps there are deeper meanings hidden within this, especially for the most primitive Ancient Wizards whose Bloodline power systems are more complex. Although Bloodline power is strong and can be embedded within the World Rule, allowing one to borrow the entire power, it has significant limitations in some special worlds. For example, in the known maze of all Spirit, the book world where knowledge is power, and the Dream World where anything can happen. However, this modern power system has few restrictions."
Although the level of Winds of Oblivion could only be considered average in Cloud City, it could still provide Freya with a direction for research.
At the Deputy Director level, she should have access to classified documents within the Blood Eagle Territory.
Thoughts flashed through her mind as Freya dispersed the Meditation Method in her hands and then walked out of the botanical garden.
"The condensation of King Cobra's Second Form is almost at a critical point. After five years, I should have collected enough energy for the dual transformation of soul and *."
Since returning from the Crimson Forest Trace, over five years, as Freya deepened her understanding of the world, her path toward becoming an Ancient Wizard became clearer.
The secondary condensation of the King Cobra form essentially meant becoming a true King Cobra, mastering the World Rule, and serving as a higher-level maintainer similar to the World Rule.
This level almost represented the entire Wizarding World, with only a step away from truth or the essence of the world.
After passing through a long corridor and several corners, Freya soon arrived at the entrance to the basement.
She reached out and gently pressed on the basement door.
‘Sizzle.’
A white Rune Array pattern flashed by as the entrance slowly opened.
Then, numerous isolation Rune Arrays inside the basement gradually lit up. A transparent White Light filled the entire basement.
Freya strode confidently toward the center of the basement, where the Tree of Life stood quietly.
In front of the ancient tree was a massive Rune Array composed of Black Crystal Pillars.
This was the Otherworldly Teleportation Array that Freya had later refined using various ancient texts. It was more stable and secure than before, with reduced consumption of mental energy and power.
After a moment, Freya approached the foremost stone pillar and softly murmured an incantation, then tapped the pillar lightly.
Suddenly, the previously quiet Black Crystal Pillar lit up with a red glow, followed by the surrounding Black Crystal Pillars lighting up one after another.
On the floor, a large rune began to rotate slowly and clearly.
Watching the Rune Array activate gradually, Freya's eyes revealed a look of anticipation.
"I wonder how things have developed over the years. I hope everything goes smoothly."
The five avatars she had separated could only sense vague locations due to crossing worlds; they had no idea about the specific circumstances.
However, since Freya's avatars were empowered by the combined legacy of the Tree of Life and King Cobra, they possessed significant growth potential and would not simply perish due to energy depletion.
Unless someone directly eliminated them or they were reabsorbed by Freya, the avatars would continue to exist.
As the Rune Array fully illuminated, Freya placed her hands on the Black Crystal Pillar and gently closed her eyes.
"Then let's begin."
With a sudden rush, her body became incredibly light. When she opened her eyes again, her surroundings transformed into a Time-Space Portal filled with silver Thin Lines.
As the coordinates were set, a distant entrance of Crimson slowly emerged in Freya's line of sight.
...
Beneath the Crimson sky lay a parched land.
On this land stood a Black Castle, seemingly piercing the heavens.
Above the castle, fierce Wings demons and carrion vultures flew about, while the ground was covered with numerous demon warriors.
Gigantic Inferno Demons, covered in magma, knelt on the ground, appearing exceptionally respectful.
These chaotic demons had surprisingly become extremely orderly here.
In the castle's hall, a row of Blood Red Armored Men, strong and fierce-looking high-ranking demons, stood on either side.
An invisible aura of terror subtly distorted the air within the hall.
This was still the result of these beings exercising great restraint.
At the front of the hall, a Fear Demon dressed in a black Red Robe, with curved horns on its forehead, was excitedly reporting something to a Shadowy Figure seated on the throne.
The figure slightly nodded and occasionally responded.
After a long while, the figure slowly stood up from the throne, and the shadows gradually receded to reveal Freya's cold face.
At this moment, Freya was clad in dark Red Armor adorned with menacing bone patterns. Her originally golden hair had turned Crimson, and her deep blue pupils flickered with hints of red light.
A similarly dark red longsword hung at her waist, its Blade marked with intricate black lines that exuded a chilling and malevolent aura.
Once the Fear Demon finished speaking, Freya's icy gaze slowly swept across the surroundings as she began to speak.
"You have been following me for three years now. What are your thoughts on these three years?"
At Freya's sudden question, several demons exchanged glances, completely unsure of how to respond.
"My queen," one of the alluring and scantily clad succubi spoke up first. "Three years ago, we were merely demons struggling to survive in this land. It was you who gathered us together, leading us toward order and freedom. You are our hope."
"Is that so, Diana?" Freya turned her gaze toward the succubus who had spoken.
"Yes," the succubus named Diana nodded firmly.
In fact, this was true.
The chaotic Abyss World represented disorder itself, filled with various conflicts.
Aside from a few high-ranking Abyss Lords who could impose some restraint, lower-level demons could hardly survive anywhere else.
However, even among the Abyss Lords, wars frequently broke out between them.
When Freya first arrived in this chaotic world, it was quite difficult for her. But as she won over the first batch of demons and absorbed Bloodline through numerous battles, things became very clear.
The aura of absorption rendered lower-level demons completely defenseless, while higher-level demons were overwhelmed by the army she had established.
In just two or three short years, she directly eliminated a low-ranking Abyss Lord, becoming the ruler of order in this land.
However, Freya knew that this order was merely superficial; chaos remained the primary characteristic of the Abyss and the essence of the world.
Standing still, Freya pondered for a moment before slowly drawing a long sword covered in black patterns and plunging it into the ground.
"I am glad to have been with you and fought alongside you. The reason I summoned you here is to tell you that my mission has come to an end. The rest will depend on you."
Seemingly sensing something ominous, the most intelligent succubus suddenly raised her head in fear.
"What mission? Your Majesty? What are you planning to do?"
Freya smiled slightly at her. "Nothing, just that it's time to go back."
Boom!!!
As soon as the words fell, a muffled sound suddenly came from outside the castle. A thick layer of dark rain clouds had unknowingly covered the sky above the massive black castle.
It was as if a large hole had opened in the sky.
Boom!!!
Another muffled sound echoed, and all the demons in the castle hall suddenly trembled, an inexplicable feeling enveloping them.
Freya slowly walked to the window of the hall, frowning slightly as she looked outside.
Amidst the dark rain clouds, countless blood-red Light Spheres exploded, and a gigantic Snake Head roared wildly.
"The World Barrier of the Eighth Layer Abyss World is unexpectedly strong." (To be continued)
