Chapter 404: 0

That was the powerful force and obligation bestowed by the Wizarding World. 0

When her soul was completely assimilated by the Bloodline, it meant that she had fully detached from her human identity and became a true King Cobra. 0

"World Rule, Royal Serpent Bloodline, Advanced Meditation Method, Soul." 0

Freya furrowed her brow, the green aura in her eyes quickly fading. 0

"Forget it." She shook her head and walked out of the library. "Although I don't know why my body hasn't shown any signs of power rejection, it's about time to proceed with the analysis of Spirit. If the two opposing forces are going to conflict, then this is probably the moment." 0

For a Modern Wizard to enter Dawn Level, they must purify their soul, condense the fourth Spiritual Crystal, and reorganize everything about themselves with immense mental power, leading to the ultimate sublimation of their life level. 0

This would manifest all that they had accumulated and comprehended previously in an outward form similar to radiation, known as the soul domain of a Dawn Wizard. 0

As she left the Library Tower, the sky outside had completely darkened. 0

Bright lights flickered along the road, and groups of Gray Robed Apprentices gathered in clusters, animatedly discussing something as they exited the academy. 0

Aside from that, the entire Blood Eagle Territory Headquarters was quiet. 0

After pondering for a moment at the Library Tower, Freya directly left the headquarters and headed to her villa. 0

... 0

Five Hours. 0

In the laboratory of the villa. 0

Dressed in a black silk long gown, Freya stood in front of the massive Laboratory Table, busy with her work. 0

The Laboratory Table occasionally erupted with splashes of silver Plasma and piercing screams, corroding the floor around her feet into deep pits. 0

Suddenly, a withered black hand slowly crawled out from the edge of the Laboratory Table on Freya's left, seemingly trying to escape. However, Freya quickly reached out, broke the hand, and placed it back onto the Laboratory Table. 0

What followed was a mournful wail, which soon fell silent. 0

This chaotic situation lasted for half an hour. 0

Freya finally released her hands and stepped away from the Laboratory Table, revealing a hint of fatigue in her eyes. 0

She waved her hand to disperse the white smoke above the Laboratory Table, and a sphere seemingly bound together by countless translucent Tentacles appeared in her line of sight. 0

The mass of Tentacles twitched occasionally, with droplets of silver liquid seeping through the gaps, faintly revealing a red object wrapped inside. 0

Reaching out to hold the mass in her hand, Freya's azure pain slightly transformed into a hint of green. 0

"Although it doesn't look great, it should work just fine." 0

This was a disposable Soul Purification Artifact she had specially crafted using her years of knowledge combined with various materials from the promotion of Dawn Wizards. 0

Though it had not been tested yet, theoretically, it should function perfectly. 0

"Then let's try out its specific effects first." 0

Muttering to herself, Freya took out a transparent bottle from her waist. 0

The bottle contained a green liquid, inside of which was a translucent Black Eye. 0

The pupil of the eyeball slightly contracted, as if it were still alive. 0

Unscrewing the cap of the bottle, Freya brought the Soul Purification Artifact closer to the eyeball. 0

'Sizzle!' 0

The black eyeball in the bottle suddenly ignited. Then, a large amount of Black Smoke billowed out from the mouth of the bottle, swirling and faintly revealing the sound of rumbling Hoofbeats and a rough male voice. 0

The floating black smoke soon formed into several fist-sized Black Knight figures, each riding a Black Stallion and wielding a longsword, charging fearlessly towards Freya. 0

However, just as they reached Freya, they quickly dissipated. 0

Two minutes later, the smoke in the bottle completely vanished. 0

The originally pitch-black eyeball had now turned into a translucent light blue, floating motionlessly in the bottle. 0

Looking at the light blue eyeball, Freya nodded in satisfaction. 0

"The purity seems to be approaching that of a normal soul. Not bad. Now, there is just one final step." 0

She held the Soul Purification Artifact in her hand and walked out of the laboratory into another empty room. 0

The walls of the room were engraved with circular Rune Arrays, even the Ceiling was no exception. 0

In the center was a giant complex Rune Array; the outer edge consisted of relatively normal runes, but inside were bizarre and intricate shapes pieced together like a scale. 0

The scales were empty on both sides as Freya stepped into the Rune Array and placed the Soul Purification Artifact on one side. Then, she took a branch from the Tree of Life from her waist and placed it on the other side. 0

A faint sound was heard as the patterned scales began to tilt slowly towards the direction of the Soul Purification Artifact. 0

"Oh?" Freya raised an eyebrow upon seeing this. "Not enough? Then how about this." 0

With a thought, dark green winds quickly gathered around her. Before long, a black Corrosive Wind Eye appeared in her hand. 0

Placing the Corrosive Wind Eye next to the branch caused the scales to shift in that direction, but it still did not achieve complete balance. 0

Freya frowned slightly, pondering for a moment. She extended her hand, and a drop of blood from the increasingly assimilated King Cobra fell down. 0

Splash! 0

The blood dropped onto the Corrosive Wind Eye, causing it to shine brightly. Wisps of rainclouds began to gather above it, subtly transforming into a condensed storm. 0

At that moment, the scales finally regained their balance. 0

Looking at the balanced scales, Freya walked to a specific position in the Rune Array, raised her hands, and gently closed her eyes before opening them again. 0

In her deep blue eyes, a silver halo flashed through her pupils and then spread across her entire eyeball. 0

Her vision transformed into a colorful world made up of dots and lines. 0

"Then let’s begin!" she murmured softly. 0

"Whoosh!" 0

Silver flames ignited around her, and her clothing turned to ash in an instant. 0

The giant Rune Array on the floor gradually glowed with a silver light, followed by the walls, and finally the ceiling. 0

Before long, the entire room transformed into a sea of silver, with only Freya standing quietly within it. 0

In a moment, even Freya's body was completely submerged in this silver expanse. 0

It felt as if she were immersed in a warm pool of water; Freya faintly sensed that she had detached from gravity and was floating, surrounded by a vast white landscape. 0

She could not perceive the appearance of her own body, yet her thoughts were exceptionally clear. Importantly, she seemed to still be able to sense her control over the elements and her Bloodline Power. 0

"Is this what it feels like to have a soul?" Freya looked around. "I thought my body would become translucent; I didn't expect it to be like this." 0

"Poof!" 0

As her curiosity grew, something resembling countless intertwined tentacles abruptly appeared in the silver world. 0

The originally translucent tentacles now displayed a myriad of colors. A red eyeball in the center of the tentacles looked around before sprouting bundles of red roots at the bottom, anchoring themselves to the silver ground. 0

"Sizzle!" 0

The red roots grew rapidly, soon forming a massive circular Rune Array that seemed composed of countless interlocking gears. 0

The gears in the center of the Rune Array slowly turned, producing mechanical sounds of "clank, clank, clank." 0

As the gears turned faster, numbers resembling clock faces gradually emerged within the red Rune Array, and two pointers representing the flow of time extended outward, breaking through the Rune Array. 0

"Hiss." 0

The pointers slowly moved. 0

A vertical Thin Line appeared in the silvery world, followed by a second one. The third resembled a brush on a blank canvas. 0

After the appearance of these Thin Lines, Freya felt as if her body had returned. 0

Her vision could distinguish up from down and left from right. 0

She looked at her own body and found that it was also composed of these Thin Lines, like a rough sketch. 0

"What is this? Is this how other wizards ascend as well?" Freya frowned slightly. 0

She had previously reviewed many documents through her authority. It seemed there had never been a case like this. 0

"It shouldn't be." Freya blinked. 0

In the silvery space, those lines appeared frantically as the clock's pointers accelerated. 0

What was once a space filled with simple sketches gradually revealed a shadow, as if illuminated by sunlight above. 0

Then Freya felt her body becoming increasingly real, as strands of Thin Lines filled in her entire blank form. Even the most hidden details were not overlooked. 0

Amidst her confusion, the clock-like Rune Array suddenly came to an abrupt halt, and the pointers stopped. 0

"Chirp!" 0

A green light point emerged from the Rune Array, followed by a red light point, and then a multitude of colorful light points. 0

"Wow—" 0

As if an explosion had occurred, the Rune Array suddenly erupted with large clusters of various light points, surging to occupy the space and chaotically intertwining. 0

"Something's wrong!" Freya paused slightly upon seeing this. "This is neither a Soul Purification ritual nor an Ascension to Dawn Wizard." 0

These countless tiny light points quickly filled the entire silvery space, forming a completely chaotic state. 0

In a daze, Freya faintly heard a crisp sound ringing in her ear. 0

"Ding" 0

After this sound, the entire chaotic space suddenly exploded, and all the colors seemed to float again, but this time they arranged themselves in a continuous order. 0

The previous Thin Lines bound these colors. 0

"Is this the composition of the world?" Staring blankly at this magical and bizarre scene, Freya suddenly thought of a term. "The Voice of Order, World Rule?" 0

As she stood there in a daze, it seemed that clear colors began to render on her sketch-like body, and fine Thin Lines quickly wrapped around her. 0

Immediately after, large segments of inexplicable memories abruptly surfaced in her mind. 0

Like rapidly flashing movie clips, Freya's vision was filled with these mysterious things. 0

In the end, these images had become completely unrecognizable, only a vast expanse of colorful silver Flowing Light and countless shimmering Thin Lines remained. 0

Her body, which had just returned to its original state, was faintly filled with these silver Flowing Light and Thin Lines. 0

Vaguely, Freya seemed to recall scenes from her time on Earth. After being struck by a speeding Truck, as her fragile soul was about to dissipate, a flash of silver light suddenly appeared within her soul. 0

Subsequently, her chaotic soul floated unconsciously in the infinite universe, protected by this thread of Silver Light. 0

In this state, time and space lost all meaning; even now, she faintly felt that her soul had seemingly visited many places and planets and encountered numerous events. 0

During this unconscious wandering, the enveloping silver light grew increasingly bright. 0

However, the soul protected by this silver light was becoming weaker due to the passage of time. 0

Just as her soul was on the verge of collapse, a golden-haired girl lying on a bed suddenly appeared before her. The girl, who was about to completely perish, slowly opened her eyes, revealing a look of confusion. 0

"This is the process I went through when I first crossed over," Freya thought as she observed this bizarre scene, feeling an odd sensation in her heart. 0

She seemed to understand that the silver light within her soul was what granted her the power to traverse time and space. 0

"So this is what that otherworldly merchant Edgar meant? Then what he took must have been the remnants of Freya's original soul. So that's how it is." 0

Not only did this question hidden deep within her heart seem to find a vague answer at this moment, but it also felt as if all her questions were beginning to coalesce into something clearer. 0

Even regarding this ever-changing space around her, she sensed that she knew something. 0

After a pause, Freya slowly extended her hand and brushed through the air. 0

‘Hiss’ 0

The entire space suddenly froze, then quickly pieced itself back together. 0

The familiar floor, the room, and the faint sounds from outside—unbeknownst to her, Freya had returned to the previous room, her clothes intact. 0

However, the large runes on the floor had completely vanished, leaving only a goat symbol, which was her Secret Mark. 0

“The Ancient Inheritance's Bloodline and the Dawn Wizard's soul transformation are both products under the World Rule. So does that mean I have successfully advanced to become a Dawn Wizard?” Freya looked around and frowned slightly. “I suppose it does, but I didn't expect the assimilation of World Power to happen at this time as well.” 0

After a moment of thought, Freya took a step forward. 0

‘Whoosh!’ 0

The scenery around her rapidly retreated, as if she had passed through a magical door. When Freya's foot landed on the ground, she found herself standing in an unfamiliar ocean. 0

The silver full moon hung in the sky, casting silvery light on the Calm Sea Surface, while faint blue lights appeared deep within the tranquil sea, suggesting a city hidden beneath the waves. 0

Not far away, a Sea Patrol Soldier in armor stared at the suddenly appearing Freya in surprise. 0

“What? Human Wizard?” (To be continued) 0
