Everyone nodded in agreement. Old Qin added, "Yes, we good-natured people should come together! As for the person who attempted to assassinate me, I don't believe her nature is inherently bad."
Jiang Chen turned to Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe and asked, "Uncle, Auntie, you must know who wanted to assassinate your family members?"
Qin Huarong nodded and replied, "Yes. We know. Her original target was us two. Perhaps after learning of our sacrifice, she shifted her focus onto my family."
"Are you willing to reconcile with her? I know her as well and understand the entanglement between you," Jiang Chen asked.
"We certainly are willing. We have no grievances against her; it's just her one-sided hatred towards us. As long as she can let go of her resentment, we can naturally reconcile," Bai Yuhe said.
"I'll handle things on her side! I want you all to have a smile that dispels grudges. You are all kind-hearted people; it's truly inappropriate for there to be hatred among you," Jiang Chen stated.
The "she" referred to here was naturally Hao Shumei. Jiang Chen, Qin Huarong, and Bai Yuhe understood this well, but Old Qin, Qin Xusha, and He Chungwai were left somewhat puzzled.
"Mom, who hates us?" Qin Xusha couldn't help but ask her mother.

Qin Xusha also realized that it was her mother's rival who was causing the trouble. After all this time, the rival still held a grudge, which showed just how charming her father must have been.
"Let's set it for the sixth day of the new year. On that day, I'll invite everyone to my Huafei Villa, and I'll act as a mediator to resolve your grievances," Jiang Chen suggested.
"Sounds good," both Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe agreed eagerly.
The five of them continued chatting in the living room until dinner was served for the New Year's Eve feast. The Qin family's dinner was lavish, especially since both Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe were back, and they had invited Jiang Chen over as well.
After the feast, they set off some fireworks and then gathered around the television to watch the Spring Festival Gala.
Once the gala ended, Jiang Chen returned to his mountain villa to sleep. Although Old Qin's family lingered for a while, Jiang Chen felt it was better to sleep at his own home. He planned to visit an orphanage on New Year's Day to celebrate with Director Hao, Lin Yin, and the children.
Jiang Chen woke up at eight o'clock and headed to the orphanage. Before leaving, he called Lin Yin to let her know he was coming to pay New Year’s greetings to Director Hao and everyone else.

In the following days, Jiang Chen paid New Year’s visits to Teacher Gong and others while inviting several acquaintances over on the fifth day for a lively gathering at his home. Lin Yin also returned from the orphanage to Huafei Villa.
That evening, after the guests left, Jiang Chen shared his plan with Lin Yin about persuading Director Hao to let go of her grudges. Lin Yin expressed her support and agreement.
On the sixth day of the new year, the four members of the Qin family arrived early at Huafei Villa. With Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe present, He Chungwai did not need to accompany Old Qin.
"Uncle, Auntie, when Director Hao arrives later, please be gracious. This is Lin Yin, one of Director Hao's disciples," Jiang Chen explained clearly to Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe while introducing Lin Yin.
Lin Yin represented her master in apologizing to the Qin family and asked them to forgive her master.
When Director Hao arrived and saw the Qin family inside, she immediately turned to leave. Jiang Chen quickly stopped her: "Director Hao, let me tell you about your old classmates' deeds over these years before you decide whether or not to forgive them." Jiang Chen led Director Hao into a private room and explained the situation regarding Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe, who had entered the special forces and risked their lives as undercover agents, nearly facing death. "That's wonderful! I'll call Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe over so you three can reconcile!" Jiang Chen said before heading to the living room to summon them.
Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe arrived and addressed Director Hao, "Hao Shumei, let's continue our friendship from before!"
"Okay!" Hao Shumei stood up and embraced both Qin Huarong and Bai Yuhe, tears streaming down their faces.
Seeing this scene, Jiang Chen smiled with satisfaction.
