Under the lights, Su Xingchen's figure resembled a descending deity. Holding a dagger, he coldly stared at the man in black who lay on the ground, wailing, as if looking at a corpse.
"What... what do you want? I... I warn you, don't do anything reckless!" The man in black was terrified; he wanted to escape but couldn't move due to the intense pain in his wrist.
"Who sent you?" Su Xingchen's voice was icy and devoid of emotion.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about..." The man's eyes darted around, not daring to meet Su Xingchen's gaze.
"Not going to speak?" Su Xingchen sneered, crouching down and pressing the dagger against the man's throat. "Then I'll have to send you to meet the King of Hell."
"I'll talk! I'll talk!" Feeling the cold blade against his skin, the man finally broke down, shouting hoarsely, "It... it was Ye Qingtian! Ye Qingtian sent me! He said... said if I killed you, he'd give me a large sum of money..."
"Ye Qingtian..." Su Xingchen repeated the name softly, his eyes glinting with cold light.
"Xingchen, what’s going on?" At that moment, Lin Xi arrived with security personnel at the center of the stage and was stunned by the scene before him.
"Ye Qingtian wants to kill me," Su Xingchen said calmly, his tone eerily composed.
"What?!" Lin Xi exclaimed in shock. "How is that possible?! Why would he do this?!"
"Why?" Su Xingchen scoffed. "Because he fears me, fears that I will ruin everything he has!"
He turned around to face the countless shocked eyes in the audience and slowly spoke, his voice clear and resolute: "Everyone, I know you must be confused and scared right now, but please believe me when I say that every word I speak is true!"
"Ye Qingtian, the puppet master of the entertainment industry, manipulates public opinion, suppresses newcomers, and even resorts to murder to silence others. All of this is driven by his greed because he wants to control everything!"
"Today, I will reveal his true colors and make him pay for his actions!"
Su Xingchen's voice echoed like a bell throughout the gymnasium, his gaze firm and clear, as if he could see through all darkness.
The fans in the audience, initially shocked and fearful, gradually transformed into a wave of anger and excitement. They waved their support items and shouted Su Xingchen's name, cheering him on.
"Xingchen! We believe in you!"
"Reveal the truth! Reveal the truth!"
"Ye Qingtian, get out of the entertainment industry! Get out of the entertainment industry!"
...
The surging public sentiment was like a flood breaking through a dam, unstoppable.
And all of this was faithfully recorded by hidden cameras in the darkness, spreading through the internet to every corner of the world.
The stage lights shifted again, casting Su Xingchen's figure in an even more towering light. He stood like a solitary warrior, bravely facing the darkness for justice and truth.
Behind him were countless eyes filled with trust and expectation.
Su Xingchen ignored the audience's reaction; he released the black-clad man's wrist, allowing him to collapse to the ground.
Then, he turned around and walked toward the edge of the stage. The stage's lifting mechanism was malfunctioning, currently suspended in mid-air, surrounded by flickering emergency lights that cast Su Xingchen's figure in shifting shadows.
He carefully observed his surroundings in the dim light, searching for his next target.
"Xingchen, be careful!" Lin Xi's voice came from the darkness, tinged with urgency and concern.
Su Xingchen did not look back but nodded slightly to indicate he had heard. His footsteps were light and swift, like an agile leopard, moving effortlessly through the darkness. He knew that since Ye Qingtian had already made a move, he would not easily back down; there must be other assassins lurking in the shadows, waiting for their chance.
Suddenly, he felt a fierce gust of wind coming from behind him. Instinctively, he sidestepped to evade it and turned around, delivering a sharp spinning kick that struck the attacker in the chest.
"Ugh!" A muffled groan escaped the attacker as Su Xingchen sent him flying, crashing heavily onto the stage.
"Xingchen, are you okay?" Lin Xi and several security guards rushed over, illuminating the center of the stage with flashlights.
"I'm fine," Su Xingchen replied calmly, his gaze falling on the fallen attacker, his brow slightly furrowed.
The attacker was a tall man dressed in black, wearing a black mask that concealed his face except for a pair of murderous eyes. He struggled to get up but was pinned down by Su Xingchen's foot on his chest, unable to move.
"Tell me, who sent you?" Su Xingchen asked coldly, his tone devoid of any emotion, like ancient ice.
"Hmph! Do whatever you want!" the man in black gritted his teeth and replied defiantly. "I will never betray my employer!"
