"Ye Qingtian, what exactly do you want?" Su Xingchen said coldly to the air, knowing that Ye Qingtian must be watching him from some corner.
"What do I want? I want to ruin your reputation and make you disappear from this world!" Ye Qingtian's voice was filled with resentment and madness.
"Just because of you?" Su Xingchen scoffed disdainfully, "Do you really think you have that chance?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the large screens around the stage suddenly lit up, playing a video. In the video, Su Xingchen was seen making some sort of deal with a man in a dimly lit room. Although the image was blurry, it was still possible to vaguely recognize Su Xingchen's face.
The audience below erupted in an uproar, murmuring among themselves.
"What is going on?"
"Is Su Xingchen really involved in some shady dealings?"
"Oh my god, how could my idol be this kind of person?"
Su Xingchen looked at the screen with a terrifyingly dark expression. He knew this was a carefully orchestrated scheme by Ye Qingtian, aimed at destroying him.
"Su Xingchen, what else do you have to say?" Ye Qingtian's voice rang out again, filled with triumph and mockery. "Now, the whole world has seen your true colors. What right do you have to stand on this stage?"
Su Xingchen took a deep breath, trying hard to calm himself. He knew this was not the time to panic; he had to find a way to prove his innocence, or it would truly be over.
He picked up the microphone and was about to speak when suddenly, the sound of sirens grew louder as several police cars screeched to a halt at the entrance of the stadium.
Several police officers rushed into the gymnasium and approached the center of the stage.
"Mr. Su Xingchen, you are suspected of involvement in an economic crime case. Please come with us to assist in the investigation," one of the officers said to Su Xingchen.
Su Xingchen looked at the police in front of him, knowing this was Ye Qingtian's final move. He did not resist but calmly nodded and said, "Alright, I will go with you."
He turned around and deeply bowed to the disappointed, angry, and confused fans in the audience before leaving the gymnasium with the police.
Inside the gymnasium, only noise and chaos remained.
Su Xingchen's gaze returned from the large screen, a cold smile forming at the corners of his mouth. "Ye Qingtian, do you really think you can destroy me like this? You underestimate me too much." He casually tossed the microphone to a staff member beside him, his tone carrying a chilling intensity. Ignoring the police, he turned to face the audience, his eyes firm and sharp.
"I know many of you must have doubts right now and think I have done something shameful." Su Xingchen paused, scanning the faces filled with skepticism in the crowd. "But I want to tell you that that video is fake! It was deliberately fabricated by Ye Qingtian out of revenge against me!"
"Su Xingchen, stop spouting nonsense! There are witnesses and evidence; do you still want to deny it?" A cold voice came from the second floor of the gymnasium. Ye Qingtian, dressed in a black suit and flanked by a group of bodyguards, slowly descended the stairs with a sinister smile on his face.
Su Xingchen ignored Ye Qingtian and continued speaking to the audience: "I know that my word alone may not be enough for you to believe me. But please trust me; I, Su Xingchen, have never done anything against my conscience!" He clenched his fists, his tone resolute. "I will prove my innocence and make Ye Qingtian pay for his actions!"
"Brother Xingchen, I believe in you!" A clear voice rang out from the audience. Su Xingchen looked in the direction of the sound and saw Tang Xiaotang standing among the crowd, holding up her phone with a recording video displayed on its screen.
"Ye Qingtian, do you think what you've done is flawless? Let me tell you, I have recorded all your crimes!" Tang Xiaotang pointed at Ye Qingtian and shouted, "I will hand this video over to the police and let the law punish you!"
Ye Qingtian's face instantly turned pale with anger. He glared at Tang Xiaotang and gritted his teeth, saying, "You little brat, how dare you ruin my plans!" He signaled to the bodyguards behind him, "Grab her!"
