Lin Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief. She turned to the man in black on the ground, her gaze sharp. "Hand him over to the police for a thorough interrogation!"
"Yes, Sister Lin." Several security guards stepped forward and took the man in black away.
Su Xingchen watched as the man was led away, his expression gradually becoming more profound. He knew this was just a test from Ye Qingtian, and there would be even fiercer attacks waiting for him next.
"Xingchen, I'm so glad you're okay!" Tang Xiaotang ran over from the audience, her eyes red, clearly shaken. "That was really dangerous just now!"
Su Xingchen gently patted Tang Xiaotang's head and comforted her softly, "Don't worry, I'm fine now. I will handle this matter well."
"Mm!" Tang Xiaotang nodded vigorously. She believed in Su Xingchen just like she believed that the sun would rise in the sky.
"This incident has caused quite a stir, and the police have already intervened in the investigation. We can take this opportunity to completely bring him down!" Lin Xi walked over to Su Xingchen and said in a low voice.
Su Xingchen nodded slightly. "I know what to do."
Su Xingchen furrowed his brows as he scanned the audience below. Among the crowd, a vague shadow flashed by. He felt a sense of alertness and discreetly pulled Tang Xiaotang behind him, whispering, "Xiaotang, be careful!"
Before he could finish his sentence, a shadow suddenly lunged from the side of the stage, a glint of cold light flashing in its hand as it aimed directly at Su Xingchen's face.
"Xingchen, watch out!" Lin Xi exclaimed, but it was already too late to stop it.
Su Xingchen reacted quickly, leaning back just in time to narrowly avoid the sharp blade. He seized the wrist of the man in black and twisted it forcefully, causing the attacker to cry out in pain as the dagger fell to the ground.
"Ah!" A piercing scream erupted from the crowd, sending the audience into a panic as they scrambled to escape, plunging the entire theater into chaos.
"Everyone, stay calm and evacuate in an orderly manner!" Su Xingchen shouted, his voice steady and powerful, as if infused with a magical force that gradually calmed the frantic crowd.
Taking advantage of the confusion, the man in black lunged at Su Xingchen again, launching ruthless attacks that clearly indicated he was a trained assassin. Su Xingchen was quick on his feet, dodging the strikes while sweeping his leg to trip the attacker to the ground. He then mounted the man in black, pinning his arms down.
"Tell me, who sent you?" Su Xingchen demanded sharply, his gaze piercing as if he could see into the assassin's soul.
The man in black struggled but couldn't break free from Su Xingchen's grip. Gritting his teeth, he spat out, "There are many who want you dead!"
Su Xingchen let out a cold laugh. "Not willing to tell the truth? Then don't blame me for being rude!"
He grasped the man's wrist and applied pressure, eliciting a scream that sounded like a pig being slaughtered.
"Stop it!"
At that moment, an angry shout rang out from the crowd. Moments later, several uniformed security guards rushed onto the stage, surrounding Su Xingchen and the man in black.
"Xingchen, are you okay?" Lin Xi anxiously pushed through the crowd and ran to Su Xingchen's side, examining him closely for any injuries.
"I'm fine," Su Xingchen replied, shaking his head as he handed over the man in black to the security guards and stood up next to Lin Xi.
"What’s going on?" Lin Xi asked in a lowered voice, her gaze scanning the surroundings cautiously.
"Someone wants to kill me to silence me," Su Xingchen said calmly, as if discussing something trivial.
"What?!" Lin Xi's expression changed. "Do you know who did it?"
Su Xingchen remained silent, only casting a meaningful glance at the side of the stage, where a shadow quickly vanished into the darkness...
