Jonas came home early with a gloomy expression, and he didn't feel like wandering outside anymore.
"Why are you back so early today? You won't be earning your dinner outside, so you'll have to eat at home. There's no dinner for you!"
"I'm tired, let me rest for a while!"
Jonas lay pitifully on his own bed, closed his eyes, and all he could think of was Betty, causing a wave of pain in his heart.
Early in the morning, Selena left the house, and Jonas was awakened by the children's noisy chatter. His first reaction was to go and check on his daughter, but Lova spoke to him instead:
"Is sister okay? Is she sick?"
"What? What are you saying, darling? Did you go to find your sister?"
"Yes, Mom asked me to go and bring chicken soup for my sister to drink!"
"Chicken soup? When did that happen!"
"Yesterday afternoon!"
Jonas knows that Selena must have seen Betty again, what is she up to now? He took a step out of the door and then pulled back, he would have to wait for Selena to come back and ask her about it.
"You saw Betty! What did you see Betty for!"
"I have seen her, I saw her yesterday. Is there a problem? Why did you hide her pregnancy from me? What are your intentions?"
"I just didn't want you to worry too much. It's nothing. What did you say to Betty in the end?"
"I had Betty persuade Zhang Xiaobei to give us a lump sum of money, which would be beneficial for all of us. I'm just being proactive and looking out for our future!"

Selena pushed Jonas out the door and closed it herself.
Jonas walked down the stairs dejectedly on his way to see Betty.
"At last you're awake. Quickly tell me what happened!"
"Is our child gone?" Betty looked at me.
"Yes, the child is gone," I said in a low voice.
"Zhang Xiaobei, I'm sorry, I couldn't take care of our child, I..."
"Don't say anything more, Betty," I interrupted her! "Now you tell me, why did you take abortion pills, what's the reason for this!"
"Abortion pills, what abortion pills? I have never taken them!"
"How could the child have a miscarriage? When you consulted with me, your husband clearly told me that this was a reaction to taking abortion pills, which caused the miscarriage. It wasn't a natural miscarriage. Do you understand? It was a child of over three months, it wouldn't miscarry easily! Why are you lying to me now?"
Zhang Xiaobei's words woke Betty up! She was very clear that she hadn't taken any so-called abortion drugs. She remembered that before the bleeding, she had experienced intense abdominal pain, and then she started bleeding.
She wondered if she had eaten something wrong that day. She realized that just over an hour before the incident, she had drunk chicken soup brought to her by Lova at the request of Selena. Could it be that something was added to the chicken soup? Betty felt a chill in her heart and couldn't help but cry in sadness!
At that moment, Jonas arrived.
Under the questioning of Jonas and Zhang Xiaobei, Betty revealed the truth. However, she had conditions before revealing the truth. She hoped that they would not get angry no matter what they heard, nor blame or regret. If there was to be punishment, then it should be directed at herself.
Betty talked to Selena in detail, then sent Lova to deliver chicken soup, which ultimately led to her own miscarriage. Everything has come to this point, and she feels exhausted inside. As she cried, she gradually lost consciousness and cried herself to sleep!

When he left the pub, it was already midnight. Jonas didn't want to go home. He felt like he couldn't face Xiao Bei anymore. Many things were already beyond his control, and he felt like he was superfluous in this world. He imagined the moment of his liberation to be wonderful.
There were few pedestrians on the street, and a carriage came flying from a distance. In Jonas's hazy drunken eyes, the figure of Zhang Xiaobei appeared, and he silently murmured, "My friend has come to find me!"
She suddenly rushed forward to block the path of the carriage. The startled foal reared back, its front hooves raised high, and one hoof stomped fiercely on Jonas's chest. He fell down instantly, fearing that this friend might not forgive him. In an instant, he grabbed the reins under the friend's neck with his hand. He was dragged by the horse for an unknown distance until he was completely out of breath and had no strength left to hold onto the reins. The carriage then rolled over him, leaving him lying motionless on the cold ground, continuously coughing up blood.
Jonas was found the next morning, he was already gone.
He chose to end his own life!
