Anna took a deep breath and knocked on the car window, which then opened.
"Hello, Mr. Li, I am RM's FD Anna Zheng. I apologize for keeping you waiting. Please notify the EXO members to come for the dance performance of their title song," Anna said respectfully.
The agent was looking at his phone and glanced at Anna sideways, coldly saying, "Where is PD Zhao? I've been waiting for half an hour. Do you even want to record?"
"There was a small incident in the previous process, and PD Zhao sincerely apologizes. He specifically arranged a stage for EXO to promote their title song. Although Running Man is just a small stage and the number of fans cannot compare to your company's, we are doing our best to make up for our work-related mistakes. Mr. Li, you are knowledgeable and generous; I believe you wouldn't hold such a mistake against us," Anna said assertively, giving the agent face.
Li Agent smiled coldly and replied, "No need for that. Wait another ten minutes; if we still don't start filming, we will leave without wasting your time." Before he finished speaking, he attempted to close the door.
Anna quickly blocked the door and said, "Mr. Li, I'm really sorry, but do you have to do this?"
Li Agent did not expect her to take such action.
"What? Do you think I wouldn't dare?" Li Agent said.
"No, I believe you would certainly dare to leave. It's just that S.M. Company has always had a good relationship with SBS, and many fans already know about EXO's recording. I wonder if you want to escalate this into mutual loss because of our mistake or accept our sincerity for a win-win situation? Moreover, I believe EXO will have many more opportunities to collaborate with Running Man in the future; please don’t let this matter put us in a difficult position. We guarantee that in this episode of Running Man, EXO will be the highlight guest."
Anna looked directly into the agent's eyes without any sign of fear, though her palms were sweating.
The agent stood up and got out of the car. She looked at Anna and smirked, saying, "Alright then, you're quite young." After that, she picked up her phone and notified EXO to gather at the filming location.
"Thank you very much. And I sincerely apologize for our mistake," Anna bowed deeply.
"Forget it," the manager said before walking towards the shooting stage.
The manager briefly instructed them and then stepped onto the stage.
As the music began, the well-rehearsed dance moves and the perfectly charming performance showcased the results of countless rehearsals. It was truly impressive. If it weren't for Anna's heightened nervousness at that moment, she would have been completely mesmerized, especially by Jin Jong-in. He was different from the casual demeanor she had seen in the gym; his dance had an extra allure compared to the others. Anna found herself unconsciously drawn to him, her face slightly flushing. The girls from Task Force covered their mouths and let out soft screams.
Anna took out the clothes for the upcoming Chase Battle shoot, and as EXO members came off the stage, she distributed the outfits to them.
She greeted Sehun and Jin Jong-in, whom she had previously met at the gym, with a smile.
"Hello, Anna," Jin Jong-in said with a grin.
"Hi, your dancing is really amazing," Anna replied, suddenly unable to meet his gaze.
Sehun teased from the side, "Wow, Anna, why don’t you dare look at Jongin? Could it be...?"
"Not at all!" Anna exclaimed.
Leading them to the changing area, Anna's heart was still racing until Dong Wan rushed over, panting, to inform Anna that PD and Jae-seok had arrived. She finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Just in time, Chase Battle was about to start, and everyone was ready.
In the distance, Anna spotted Zhao PD talking to Yoo Jae-suk and Li Agent. A bad feeling washed over her. Zhao PD glanced at Anna before Li Agent walked away. Zhao PD waved her over, and Anna nodded as she approached.
"Zhao PD, Brother Jae-seok," Anna greeted.
"Was the stage performance just now your idea?" Zhao PD frowned.
"Yes," Anna replied.
Anna's heart raced; she thought she would be scolded, but to her surprise, Yoo Jae-suk smiled slightly, patted Anna on the shoulder, and said, "Great job. Li Agent has told us all about it. Anna, you did very well."
Zhao PD nodded as well and said, "Not bad. Keep up the good work next time. Also, you will be in charge of editing the EXO dance video."
Anna let out a long breath, smiled shyly, and said, "I will do my best. Thank you, Brother Jae-seok, thank you, Zhao PD."
"We're about to start filming, so get ready," Yoo Jae-suk said.
Anna nodded, "Yes."
Turning around, she saw Li Agent sitting a short distance away, expressionless as he stared at the filming location. Anna smiled lightly and walked over.
"Li Agent, thank you," Anna said sincerely.
Li Agent glanced at Anna and replied, "Thank you for what? I'm just speaking the truth."
Anna smiled and bowed slightly, saying, "Thank you." After that, she turned to prepare for filming.
