Lee Kwang-soo approached curiously and asked, "What are you all talking about? What's so impressive?"
"It's none of your business," Ji-hyo and Anna replied in unison to the light beam.
Seeing this scene, Kim Jong Kook laughed at Kwang-soo while pulling him aside.
"Anna, come here for a moment," Miao PD waved to Anna. After checking Ji-hyo's recording device once more and confirming there were no issues, Anna ran over.
"What’s up, Miao PD?" Anna asked.
"The game on the glass walkway is the final segment, and it will be handled by Zhao PD and his team. We will head to Japan first. Make sure to wrap up your tasks, and gather at the vehicle in ten minutes."
"Okay," Anna nodded. Since Dong Wan was not part of the advance team, she coordinated her tasks with him. Seeing that Ji-hyo and the others were about to start filming, she hurriedly packed her things and rushed toward the vehicle without having time to say goodbye.
Once in the car, the cool air conditioning made her feel much more relaxed. She adjusted herself into a comfortable position, preparing for the next stop, which was also the final destination of the entire Asian Tour: Hokkaido.
Anna remembered how much she wanted to see snowy Hokkaido in winter, ride on an old train traveling through the snow, write down her wishes at a lonely old train station rarely visited by people, and board an icebreaker ship to search for traces of dolphins in the frozen Okhotsk Sea. Now, with the summer heat, those scenes would have to wait for another time to be realized.
Ding~~
The sound of a text message. Anna took out her phone; it was a message from Park Chan-yeol. She was somewhat surprised; this was their first communication since they exchanged contact information.
"We're going back to Korea today. Hopefully, we'll meet again."
Anna smiled lightly, thinking that if it weren't for chance, they wouldn't have had so many encounters outside of work, nor would they meet again. Korea is neither too big nor too small; if fate hadn't arranged for them to meet, they probably wouldn't have brushed past each other even once in their lives. This circle is small yet vast; everyone has their own path within this little circle, and while there may be some overlap, no one can say whether they will part ways or become more intertwined in the future.
"Safe travels," Anna typed these words but hesitated for a moment. After a long pause, she added "goodbye" at the end and pressed send, unconsciously letting out a light sigh.
"What's wrong? You seem preoccupied," Park Soo Eun asked Anna, who was sitting next to her.
Anna came back to her senses and shook her head with a smile. "Not at all."
"You say that, but you've been staring at your phone for so long," Park Soo Eun said with an expression that suggested she could see right through her.
"It's just a bit troubling," Anna admitted.
"What happened?" Park Soo Eun asked.
"It's just... I never imagined certain people would suddenly appear in my life. I used to only watch them from afar on stage, admiring them, but now due to many coincidences, they're suddenly so close..." After saying this, Anna shook her head again and added, "But not really close... Ah, I don't know."
Park Soo Eun thought about her words and widened her eyes in surprise. "You don't mean you've developed feelings for someone from Running Man, do you?"
"Sister, what are you talking about?! How could that be possible?" Anna looked at her helplessly.
"Then what is it? If it's not a member of Running Man, could it be another celebrity?"
"Not... just friends," Anna said.
"Who would believe you? Do friends really get this troubled over each other?" Park Soo Eun looked at her disdainfully.
"It's because he has helped me many times, that's why..."
"Nonsense. Brother Jae-seok saved your life, yet I don't see you worrying about him," Park Soo Eun countered.
Anna was momentarily speechless, but upon reflection, she realized that Brother Jae-seok saving her was something she could be open about. However, the help from Park Chan-yeol was something that could never be known to others. Perhaps it was precisely because of the inexplicable secrets between the two that such emotions arose.
Seeing Anna lost in thought, Park Soo Eun continued, "Don't blame me for reminding you. If the one troubling you is indeed an entertainer, you'd better adjust your emotions quickly; otherwise, you'll regret it."
"What do you mean?" Anna asked, puzzled.
"I've been in this industry for almost six years. From what I've seen, relationships like this rarely end well, especially for someone like you who has just entered and is still behind the scenes. You might end up with nothing," Park Soo Eun said, her expression particularly serious.
Aside from Brother Kwangsoo, this was the second person reminding her. However, Anna took it lightly. Her nonchalance didn't stem from thinking that Park Soo Eun was wrong; she simply understood the reasoning behind their words all too well. Therefore, she would never let herself fall into such a predicament—never.
"Don't worry, Sister Park. That won't happen," Anna said with a smile.
Looking out the window as evening approached, she lifted her head to see a plane soaring high in the sky, flying into the clouds and disappearing from sight.
