Japan Station is the final filming location, and after several exhausting days of recording, everyone looks worn out. The second group arrived at Hokkaido early in the morning, so today will be a day of rest.
There will be a segment filmed on an old train traveling from Kitahama Station to the Okhotsk Sea. Miao PD had already arranged this last night, instructing Anna and Park Seok to go check the train route and the filming setup at the destination.
“Miao PD, didn’t you already coordinate with the locals? Do we really need to make this trip again?” Park Seok’s heavy eye bags made him look even more troubled; his once youthful face seemed to have aged significantly during this time. All he wanted was to get a good sleep in his room.
Miao PD tapped his head and said, “You brat, why are you so chatty every day?”
Park Seok rubbed his head, pouting in grievance and fell silent. In truth, it wasn’t just Park Seok; everyone’s biggest wish right now was to get a good night’s sleep, including Miao PD, who also had panda eyes. The fatigue from these days of running around seemed to have deepened even his nasolabial folds.
“Just hang in there; we’re almost done. I’ll make sure you all get a proper break afterward.” After a brief pause, Miao PD continued in a somewhat somber tone, “The Asian Tour is very important. Since we haven’t seen it ourselves, I can’t help but worry.”
Upon hearing this, Anna felt a pang in her heart for some reason. The trust among the team members felt like family. She smiled slightly, also sporting panda eyes, and said to Miao PD, “Don’t worry, Miao PD.”
Seeing that Miao PD looked even more exhausted than they did, Park Seok felt a bit embarrassed and straightened up, saying, “Exactly, Miao PD, you can count on me and Anna. We’ll make sure to complete the task successfully.”
Finally showing a relieved expression, Miao PD nodded and said, “Alright, go ahead. Contact me if anything comes up.”
“Okay.”
Once on the train, it wasn’t long before Park Seok could no longer hold back and fell asleep. This old-fashioned train felt like something out of a fairy tale as it traveled through the fairy-tale-like scenery of Hokkaido. In this age of speed chasing, few people would willingly board such a slow-moving antique unless they truly loved the scenery along the way.
Seeing Park Seok sleeping too soundly, Anna felt it was not appropriate to disturb him, so she got up by herself. There were a total of twelve carriages, and the restaurant was in the fifth carriage. Outside the window, she could already see the Okhotsk Coast, and the sound of waves could faintly be heard. As she approached the last carriage, a man who had been sitting and reading a newspaper suddenly stood up, wrapping one arm around Anna's neck. Just as Anna was about to scream, she felt a sharp pain in her back; the cold tip of a dagger pierced her skin, causing her to break out in a cold sweat.
"Don't scream," the man whispered in Anna's ear.
The train was about to stop at Kitahama Station. The man said, "Get off with me."
Anna saw Park Seok sleeping from a distance and wished he would wake up to see what was happening to her, but it was all in vain. She understood that once she got off the train, her fate would be uncertain.
"Who are you?" Anna asked cautiously.
"Don't make a sound; otherwise, I will ensure you won't survive long enough for help to arrive," the man replied.
As the train came to a steady stop, Anna had no choice but to walk slowly towards the exit with the man. At that moment, her mind was blank; she couldn't think of any way to save herself. Accidentally, her watch brushed against the seat, making a slight noise, and suddenly Anna remembered Andy's words.
If there is danger, pull out the blue button!
That's right; she still had Andy's last lifeline!
