Anna felt as if she had been inexplicably drawn into a massive whirlpool. She didn't know where the center of this whirlpool was; she could only feel herself spinning dizzily under its powerful force. She couldn't understand when her once peaceful life had transformed into this chaotic state. She missed the orderly life she used to have, one without so many uncertainties and without the feeling of so-called 'danger.' But now, Anna could sense that the trajectory of her life was gradually changing.
With ten minutes left until the meeting time, the PD had not yet arrived, and everyone seemed to relax a bit, sitting together and gossiping about today's headlines. Li Xiuyu noticed Anna entering and waved for her to join them.
Anna set down her bag and asked, confused, "What's going on?" Looking over, she saw a photo of Miss Choi on the front page of the newspaper, alongside a body bag encircled by police tape. The bold headline startled Anna—Film star Miss Choi had tragically taken her own life under pressure.
"Oh dear, we all knew she would be affected after her parents' incident, but I never expected it would lead to suicide," Dong Wan sighed.
Anna murmured to herself, "How could this happen?" Just not long ago, Miss Choi seemed perfectly fine.
Staring at the newspaper, Anna felt a chill as she noticed the noose hanging from a tree beside the body bag. In the grass nearby, a black cap looked eerily familiar to her.
Seeing Anna's strange expression, Park Soo Eun asked, "Are you okay, Anna? Your face has changed."
"I'm... I'm fine..." Anna replied hesitantly.
Park Seok joked, "Last time I showed her news about Jiang Yan's car accident, she was terrified. Now it's happening again. Could it be that you’re somehow involved in all this?"
Everyone laughed, but Anna was drenched in cold sweat. Dong Wan thought Park Seok had frightened Anna and shot him a glance, saying, "You brat, always talking nonsense."
Seeing Anna's pale face made Park Seok feel guilty. He said, "Anna, don’t be angry; I was just joking."

Seeing Anna still in a daze, Park Seok thought he had made a big mistake. He wanted to grab Anna's arm to apologize, but Anna flinched away as if she had been electrocuted.
"What's wrong? Don't be so stingy. I'm just joking. I know you're scared of things like this; I won't mention it again," Park Seok said, feeling wronged.
"Yeah, Park Seok was just joking," Park Soo Eun chimed in to ease the tension.
Noticing everyone's gaze on her, Anna realized her reaction was too extreme. Her voice trembled as she said, "No, I'm not angry; I'm just scared. I... I need to go to the bathroom."
After saying that, she hurriedly left the room. At the door, she accidentally bumped into Zhao PD, who had just entered. Anna lowered her head and apologized before continuing toward the bathroom.
"What's wrong?" Zhao PD asked the people inside when he saw Anna's pale face and her flustered demeanor.
"It's Park Seok; he scared Anna with a joke," Dong Wan explained.
"I didn't know she was so afraid of things related to death," Park Seok said, feeling innocent as he raised the newspaper in his hand.
Zhao PD was aware of the news and said, "You saw someone who was fine one moment and then suddenly dead; how can you joke about that, you little rascal?"
Park Seok lowered his head, put down the newspaper, and stopped talking.
"Let's get back to work," Zhao PD said, and everyone dispersed to continue their unfinished tasks.
